This cabin was so dreamy! On our drive in, we spotted a beautiful gray fox and a few deer. The forest surrounding the cabin is just beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed. I thought I wouldn’t like to walk to the bath house, but honestly I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s only a short walk, and it gives you multiple chances to spot wildlife. The bath house is clean and has everything you need. I especially enjoyed the French press coffee and slow mornings reading in the cabin

What a dream it was to stay at this lovely cottage! So cute & cozy with a beautiful outdoor space that we were welcome to explore. Got to meet a couple of Michele’s retrievers our first evening when she came to greet us, which was a treat. Relaxing outside the cottage was such a magical experience with birds chirping, deer grazing, and a cat wandering around seeking pets. The property is also right next to the Mount Parke Regional Park which we enjoyed a spontaneous hike around. We got a chance to walk over to Mayne Island Brewing on Sunday for a couple of beers and to stock up for our visit. We also did our grocery shopping at the Farm Gate Store just down the road from the property and made most of our meals at the cottage. In the evenings we tucked into the VHS and DVD collection which was so fun & nostalgic! Thanks so much, Michele! We hope to be back in the future :)

I came to the tiny seaside retreat looking for a beautiful place where I could disconnect from my life and get started on writing a novel, and I wasn't disappointed! It was perfect: cozy home, beautiful views and a great host to help me throughout my stay! Lauri was super responsive and helpful whenever I needed anything. The place was big enough for my needs and well stocked with everything you could ask for. I was nervous about the loft bedroom with the low ceilings, but I can honestly say I've never slept better in my life. I was grateful for the option of the fold out bed downstairs but didn't end up using it. Sitting out on the decks and writing each day while looking out over the water was heaven. I got to see one of the resident otters! I will definitely be a return visitor... I'm already planning it! Thanks so much for being so awesome, Lauri!

It's a nice, cozy, and well-built tiny home. And if all you need is a place to sleep and set up base then this is a great choice. You'll need to use the ladder to get to the bed. It may not be suitable for everyone, but it's very comfortable. The only odd design is the bathroom/shower. It's mostly quiet (slight car noise from the road), and it's pretty private. There's a beach 15 minutes walking distance where you can watch a beautiful sunset. I highly recommend staying here :)

Reg was welcoming and the cabin was well stocked with quality soaps, dishes, coffee, etc. The sauna was a treat

10/10. Beautiful woods getaway, and like others have said, much bigger than expected. Super comfy bed, great down pillows and comforters, and caring little touches around the cabin. It’s clear the hosts have put a lot of love into this place, and it went a long way to make it feel like home. I loved sitting by the fireplace in the rocking chair reading, with the morning light coming through the windows. There are a lot of windows so it’s drafty - definitely bring layers, and plan to keep a fire going (that means lots of wood!). But it’s warmer up in the loft where the bed is, so sleeping w the warm bedding was cozy. The cooking setup is great, propane is supplied, and plenty of cookware and dishes. Lots of spices, just needed to bring olive oil. The “sink” is a metal tub built into the counter with a catch bucket underneath - worked great. The hottubs are BEAUTIFUL - it took a long time to get it hot and a lot of charcoal, so definitely heed the instructions to tend it vigilantly!

I love when you can tell that the air bnb host truly loves to host. Christine was soo friendly and recommended some great hikes while I explored Olympic national park. It truly was a treat to come back after a day of exploring & pop in a VHS tape after a hot shower. It made me nostalgic in the best way! As a solo female traveler I felt safe on their property. Highly recommend of you're looking for a location to book while exploring Olympic 💙

This was our second time staying at Roberts’s place. It was become our favorite place to stay when visiting Anacortes. The view from the patio is the perfect place to end the day. We’ll be back.

We had a lovely little weekend getaway at Ramona’s place! We were so impressed by the design and ambiance of the unit, it literally had everything you could possibly need and felt very peaceful and cozy. Ramona was easy to coordinate with and we couldn’t recommend her place more!

We loved the solace of the forest and our girls enjoyed the tub. The hot cocoa you had stocked was a huge bonus. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Such a beautiful place to stay. Never have stayed in a tiny home before and it was so fun. Watched a movie at night, hanged out at the fire pit and cooked food on the bbq. Loved the greenery and small touches like bug spray, a Bluetooth speaker and oat milk in the fridge

We loved this place right when we got there. Its cute. Its tiny. It was perfect for me and my partner to have quiet nights. Have a little fire. Or close enough to go into town. Very peaceful and quiet. When you turn the lights out to go to sleep you are blanketted in complete darkness and silence. Hannah was a great host with great response timing. Occasional visits from furry friends was a great addition as well. We would definitely come back to this spot.

Highly recommend Bethany’s place if visiting the area. It was spotless, had everything we needed, and our pup felt right at home with the fenced in yard and basket of toys! Loved the large bathroom and private feel. Bethany was super easy to get a hold of and was pleasant every step of the way. We would absolutely stay here again!

This was my third year staying at The Shanty. It never disappoints as a mini getaway and Katy is the perfect host! I can’t wait for next year!

Jessica and Ryan were awesome hosts! I was in town for a 4-day work trip and their place was perfect — clean, cozy, and well set up. When I needed to come back the following week and unfortunately they were booked but Jessica went out of her way to help me find another place to stay. Super grateful for the extra effort — can’t recommend them enough!

Better than the listing. Everything was really clean, tidy and well presented. Although it's small it feels spacious with the large windows and tall ceilings. Overall an idyllic wooden cabin in nature with deer grazing and geese in the pond. Would happily spend the rest of my life here.

So many thoughtful touches, but first and foremost: everything needed to easily build a fire in a fire pit, and a “s’mores tacklebox“ with more s’mores stuff in it than three of us could eat in two nights.

My friend and I had a great stay! We had a comfortable stay! The only minor issue was the hot water system. It was a little tricky to get it to the perfect temp when it came to taking a hot shower but it really didn’t affect our stay and wasn’t a deal breaker for us! The location was so awesome and private! We lucked out with some beautiful weather so we were outside and down by the beach mostly! Thanks again for the stay and I’d recommend this place.

The tiny home was perfect for a weekend away! Every detail is really well thought out. The bbq area was perfect for cooking meals, the fire pit was cozy, right down to the books inside for reading! The mini put even had right and left handed putters. It was nice and private and in a great location. Just off enough off the main road to be quiet but close enough to easily head to Jordan River or up the coast towards Port Renfrew. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in the area!

The cabin and surroundings were great! The hosts were wonderful and easy to communicate with. As some others have said in reviews, you can hear the road pretty well during the day, but it’s quiet at night. We didn’t anticipate it being quite so close to the road. Also, the picture with the waterfall is misleading as there is no waterfall behind the cabin.

Staying at the Time Machine Retro Retreat was like stepping straight into the 80s in the best way possible! Every detail was thoughtfully curated—from the vintage decor to the cozy vibe that made me feel instantly at home. It’s the perfect spot for one or two people looking to unwind, reminisce, and enjoy a unique getaway. I especially loved the fireside setup—it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the warm, nostalgic atmosphere. The creativity and originality behind this space really shine. You can tell the hosts put a lot of heart into creating something special. I didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back for another trip back in time!

My partner and I loved our stay. The cabin was fully equipped with everything you need and the host provided great local recommendations . Will definitely be back!
