The perfect getaway, my first time visiting the area and I couldn’t of picked a better spot! Jess’s place was cosy and calm with stunning views from the balcony, wish I had booked it for longer ☺️

Very peaceful and beautiful area. We stayed for one night with two younger kids. We really appreciated being away from the city and being able to decompress after a long travel to get to NZ. The place is near a lot of good eats too and a very walkable neighborhood. I got small run in the morning, which I appreciated I felt I was in an area that I could do that. Kids enjoyed the big TV.

Love love love everything about this home. The views, the animals, the conversations. Everything was like a fairytale. The fruit from the farm was delicious (even tried a new type of fruit I’d never had!), the tub was perfect for a nice relaxing soak after being at the beach all day. Will be coming back here when I visit NZ again. 11/10

I had such a great experience at Linda and Al's place! They offered free upgrade from unit downstairs to upstairs lodge, it was clean and cozy, with all the essentials we needed. The location was perfect—super close to Orewa shops, which made it easy to get around. Linda and Al was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed and even offered us late check out. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip! Thanks for such a memorable stay! :)

My wife and I had a great visit while in Matamata. We really enjoyed the beautiful countryside views and the little welcome guest that would greet us when we got home (cutest border collie ever). The short drive to downtown and the Hobbiton Movie set tours kept us busy and entertained while we were there. Great stay all around!

We had a lovely time at Patch’s Cottage. The place was cozy and comfortable. The dogs were friendly. The drive up was green and scenic. We would recommend this place, I wish we could have stayed another night!

We had a lovely stay, complete with a tour of the farm and feeding the cattle and ducks - my kids thought that was amazing! Alison is fantastic with online communication, and was very patient with my excited children on the tour! Both Alison and Drew are lovely, and their property is immaculate. The house was well equiped with everything we needed, and very warm and comfortable. We would love to come back- especially in warmer weather so we can use the pool more!

The place is a lovely, quiet and restful with a beautiful view. Very clean and plenty of room. We had a really relaxed time and would definitely come back again.

I've stayed in many air bnbs over the years but this one has to be my favourite of them all. John And Sue left so many personal touches. They were incredibly kind and accommodating and were absolutely lovely with our children as well. They showed us all around the farm and let the kids feed the animals which they loved. The space as well was incredible. So comfortable and relaxing with amazing views all around, and just a short drive to Raglan. Our only regret was not booking for longer.

The Rose Cottage is a gem! So glad we chose this Airbnb. Tranquil, clean and peaceful. Michelle is the ultimate host - proactive & offering advice and recommendations. She then gave us all the privacy we needed. The cottage was well equipped and spacious. We were also left fresh milk, eggs, bread and breakfast - what a treat! We enjoyed the walk through the bush and feeding the horses.

Prue & Rogers place has been one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at! It has the most beautiful view into the valley that makes for a very peaceful & restful stay. The place itself was spotless and very welcoming with thoughtful touches throughout. Prue is very responsive and happy to help with anything needed throughout the stay. We loved our entire stay and hope to book again another time! 🤗

We had a lovely 2 night stay - quiet, private and tranquil with beautiful views of rolling hills and paddocks. Kelly is an excellent communicator and swift to assist. Everything is as described; the listing descriptions are well-crafted with honesty and integrity. Happy to have found this place and would recommend to others!

Such a fabulous little hide away. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get in touch with nature and have a break from the city - the cabin was quaint and cosy!

We had a very comfortable 1-night stay in Tosca’s tiny home. Beautiful surroundings and a cosy place to relax with all the amenities you could need. We enjoyed a lovely glass of local wine as the sun set 😊

We would highly recommend Steph and Jame's accomodation. The location of the house is very private, with beautiful views and friendly Llama's that visited us on a few occasions. The house was very clean and comfortable and the provisions that were left for us were a real treat. We had a totally relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you Steph and James. 😊

If I could give this place 10 stars for the view I would! Breathtaking view! We took so many pictures and the place is just so peaceful. Absolutely loved our stay! Booked this place cause it’s literally 2 minutes away from The Hobbition! Didn’t realize how amazing the view would be! The house is perfect for cooking your own dinner and having a night in. Lots of space! I’ve traveled to many countries, over 15 easily and this is the first Airbnb to have food in the fridge for us! It was very much appreciated, they also had a stocked pantry. I can’t say enough good things about this place! Lindsay let us walk up and pet her horse which was a treat for us city people who aren’t around lots of farm animals! I can’t recommend this place enough!

Great spot on the hill with views down to the caves, well set up and the deck overlooking the fruit tree was really nice.

Melissa and Charlie’s home is beautiful and peaceful. Getting to meet all the animals was so nice! Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay.

Wonderful Airbnb. Stunning views. Probably the most stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen at an Airbnb which was amazing for cooking family meals and enjoying the view. Deb was very responsive and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!

Perfect setting for a relaxing evening on the deck with beautiful views. So peaceful just south of Auckland is exactly what we needed after our 1st day of driving! Off to a great start with accommodations on our 2 week adventure! Thank you Jan and John!

Before, during and even after our stay Annette made our visit so comfortable. Her warm charm as well as her husband Kieth’s attentiveness to host not only us but also our 4 children made our holiday a breeze. Their stunning property and surrounding are exactly if not more better then the photos, from the sheep to Fido the dog your stay at Annette’s is worth every penny. If you’ve ever had the chance to be in a warm, welcoming environment Annette’s Airbnb is unmatched. We came for the accommodation & her hospitality will definitely make us come back.
