The 30’ yurt on the southeast edge of the Catskills, has served as an art studio, retaining a calm feeling of relaxation and creative energy. The circular space is simple and comfortable. Large windows and private deck look out onto a gentle incline leading to a scenic pond. You may be awakened by songbirds, the sighting of a heron, hummingbird, or deer. Our building sits on 150 acres of land that is open to hiking, bird watching, and exploring at your own risk. Our land in addition boarders 240 acres of NYS DEP land that is open to the public for hunting, hiking, and a variety of other activities.

The yurt is located on 19 acres of pristine nature in the Shawangunk mountains, minutes from Minnewaska State Park, and hikes to waterfalls and high mountain lakes. Guests can stay in the forest and enjoy the amenities of our retreat center including the cedar barrel sauna, communal kitchen and bath house. It’s a great location to relax and immerse in nature.
