Cozy cabin, private and quiet. Pet friendly, so that was a plus! I didn't end up getting to check out the common areas. The cabin being 420 friendly made me feel at home. I came to unwind and get away from work/life. This cabin checked all the boxes. I do wish I could have stayed a second night. I would go back again, next time take the time to check out/enjoy common area(s)

We booked super last minute so we could stay longer in town to visit my grandparents - we were beyond pleased with our stay! We had asked the host if there was any stores near by as we weren’t familiar with the area just to grab the kids some hot dogs but nothing was close nor near by and the host actually came down with hot dogs, buns and ketchup for my kids! Such a sweet gesture!!! The cabin was adorable - above expectation! Will definitely book again!

Kirk and Kelley were very welcoming and lovely. The cottage was easy to locate and had some stunning views of the mountains and the lake. Thank you for hosting us and would indeed return for another get away in the future.

Last Min visit after our first place we had booked had to cancel due to waether and no power !!!! Place was cozy, and the hot tub and sauna was a nice added touch :) It had e everything needed and was close to restaurants and the beach.

Amazing. Amber’s place exceeded our expectations. We immediately decided we would stay there again. It was very clean, everything you might need is provided, and had one of the best sleeps ever on the beds and linens. WOW. And the public house restaurant is just right across the street - super convenient! Thank you so much!

The location of this property is a quick drive to all amenities and the beach. Place is beautiful and very clean. The host was very quick to respond when I needed to change our arrival date and very thoughtful in the touches around the place.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The place was pristinely clean and tidy. And the view!!! Absolutely breathtaking! Did not disappoint! We took advantage of the close walking distance to the Frolic & Folk pub down the road. They had trivia on Thursday nights (very popular) and live Celtic music on Saturday nights! The people, Food and drinks there were excellent! Our favourite part by far of this air B&B was sitting on the deck and watching the majestic family of eagles that nested nearby. 2 adults and 2 juveniles! Absolutely fascinating and better than TV! Janet even left frozen fish for us to throw to them off the deck! We ate breakfast, had coffee and bbd’d a wonderful steak dinner on the deck! We also ventured down the wooded trail and the abandoned railway tracks to our very own private beach for the afternoon! Stunning! I highly recommend this place! Would definitely visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at Kris's place. The home is immaculate, well-appointed, and cozy. The lake itself is beautiful: we swam every day. We also visited close-by ocean beaches and waterfalls. It was the perfect combination of relaxing and exciting.

We were visiting Cape Breton for Thanksgiving together with our in-laws. It was a great size for 4 people (and could probably hold a few more). Great layout, tastefully decorated, and was VERY clean. My mother-in-law was born and raised in the area, so we had a few visitors stop by - it was easy for them to find the place and there was space for them to park. The town had a power outage one evening - there was a knock at the door and the owner's father kindly brought us a propane lamp (we learned he lived in the area) which served us well for the rest of the evening. Power was back on when we woke the next day. Owner responded quickly to all messages. We would rent here again!

Charming cottage overlooking the water with a beach close by.. cottage was very clean with all the amenities you need.. We certainly enjoyed our stay.

A lovely, modern home with a perfect lake view and access to the water! We really enjoyed the design of the home, with tons of windows (but don't stay here if the thought of things watching you from the woods freaks you out! But nothing is watching you...). The living/kitchen area is open and airy, with sliding patio doors that open toward the lake and a deck. Nice wood-burning fireplace. Very functional kitchen, easy to cook in. Well-separated bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms would make this great for a family (or just 2 people, as we were). Infloor heating is nice. Kayaks and other outdoor things available. No TV, but we were OK with that (and used our computer and the fast internet connection when we wanted to watch something). We had not been to Cape Breton before and liked this location - 10 minutes to Baddeck and about 1.5 hrs. to the south end of Cape Breton Highlands National Park (either west or east coast). Lots of hiking near-by, appreciated the host's ideas on that.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Kim and Mark’s cottage in Lake Ainslie. Kim and Mark are attentive, responsive, and considerate hosts. The location is perfect - far enough away from the nearest town to be peaceful, but close enough to all the amenities we needed. I would highly recommend a stay at this small retreat.

Nikkis Haus ist das perfekte Ferienhaus, bestens und mit vielen schönen Details ausgestattet, man fühlt sich dort sofort wohl, Nikki ist auch eine perfekte Gastgeberin und antwortet unverzüglich auf Anfragen, hatte eine tolle Zeit dort und die Lage direkt am Wasser ist super, man konnte auch Ende Oktober noch schwimmen

This listing was by far one of the nicest places I've ever stayed in my travels during the past 10 years! It was quick & easy to get to town and a main road, yet very peaceful, quiet, and private. Nice to have easy access to the Margaree River where I loved taking pictures early mornings and evenings. The large wrap around windows and decks on both levels of the house made relaxing while taking in the scenery very enjoyable. The availability of a washer and dryer and 2 bathrooms was helpful. Also, the host was very quick in responding to any questions.

Our stay at this property was fantastic! The house was spotless, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The location on the lake was absolutely stunning, and having kayaks available was a wonderful bonus. It made our trip to Cape Breton and the Cabot Trail even more enjoyable. Communication with the host was seamless, with clear instructions and a thorough description provided. We highly recommend this place and would love to stay again!

We booked with Theresa as overflow for my daughter’s wedding and my adult children were so happy for the calm space! Theresa was accommodating and very responsive! Great experience!

Adorable little beach house with a great aesthetic, just steps from a beautiful, quiet beach (and a few mins drive to other beautiful beaches). Clean and attention to detail evident. Easy comms with hosts.

We enjoyed our one-night stay at the Starry Night cabin. Everything was clean, the decorations were lovely, and the view of the lake was beautiful. We were there at the end of October, and despite the fact that it snowed a bit overnight, we were warm enough thanks to the small space heater. Shelby and Devon also thoughtfully provided some extra blankets due to the weather. The only drawback - and it's a very small one! - is that the shower floor was almost flush with the the bathroom tiles. This caused water to leak onto the bathroom floor. Overall a very nice stay and a place we would recommend!

The location is amazing, with a spectacular view. Beautiful views of the sunset and sunrise. the trail to the beach is a great walk, and the beach itself is secluded and pristine. The host is very easily reached and accommodations were exactly as advertised. We will most definitely be checking out the Michael's other offerings.
