Situated on a small tidal slough, it provides a beautiful natural setting for reflection and appreciation of that which is good in life. For those looking for luxury, the Backpacker is not for you (you may encounter bugs and it's really hot in summer). However, the Backpacker has a pretty cool vibe, and is extremely convenient to historic Charleston and Funky Folly Beach. The Backpacker is for backpackers and nature lovers.

Located directly across from beach with a path from the frontyard to the beach. Comfortable beach house, tastefully decorated on the West end of the island with large deck overlooking the ocean. The short sandy beach path is right out the front door. The home has ocean views and peaks of the river to the rear. View both sunrises and sunsets on this end of island. 9 blocks from the vibrant , eclectic center of town is where you'll find local cafes, restaurants, stores, bars and the pier.

The Garden Folly Guest House

Our architect said, “this is NOT a garage, it’s a Garden Folly!” Our Guest House has a bird’s eye view of the rose covered pecan tree and a vista of the marsh and the Wappoo Creek. When we rebuilt our 1930's garage we saved all the beaded siding and pine floor. My husband enjoyed incorporating many design elements and creative ideas. It was quickly becoming the Taj Garage. We decided it was just the kind of property we enjoy when we travel, so, Voila! we decided to share it with you!

Centrally Located Duplex, Downtown, Beach

Centrally located on James Island, halfway between Downtown Charleston and Folly Beach. It's only 3 miles to downtown Charleston's significant historic sites and world class restaurants. Folly Beach is 7 miles away and home to beautiful beaches, surfing, fishing and wonderful food and nightlife. This rental is walking distance to 3 breakfast spots, a grocery store, great restaurants, bars and Dock Street Park. Cute, cozy and full of amenities in a family friendly neighborhood.

Cottage Under the Oaks

A lovely studio centrally located on James Island, The Cottage is about 5 miles to Folly Beach or Downtown. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, and almost everything on the island is within a few miles. *No children under 13 without prior approval.* **We do have a 30-day minimum during some dates. Welcome to Peaceful Haven! We live in Oregon, but visit often to spend time with our grandchildren. You will find our house fully-stocked-we have stayed in many Airbnbs, and want to make sure you have what's needed, without being burdened with our belongings. LOCATION: Our home is located right between Charleston and Folly Beach - 12 minutes/5 miles to each. ISSUES? Our son & daughter-in-law live right around the corner, and care for the home.
