Nestled in the trees, surrounded by the sounds of a flowing river, and as quiet as can be. 1 minute walk to the famous Stewart Park, boutiques, restaurants and amazing kids play area. The actual home is breath taking. The character of the old stone cottage has been maintained, while every corner of the home is thoughtfully decorated, cozy, creative, clean, charismatic, and inviting. 3 large bedrooms, comfortable beds, massive bathrooms, and the kitchen has everything for a chef! The living room is bright with stunning views of the river. Perfect home for anyone to enjoy in any season. The host is incredibly responsive and helpful. Would stay here forever!

Dr. Brown was responsive and helpful from the minute I booked our stay. We were able to be together as a family, play pool and other activities with the home as well as get around to surrounding areas easily. It was quiet and nice to have enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us. Overall it was a wonderful stay and we were very thankful for that.

We had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving weekend at this beautiful, cozy, and private home. The rustic farmhouse feel made it the perfect place to relax. We especially loved having access to the many kayaks and canoes, which added to the overall experience. Julie was incredibly quick to respond to our messages and very accommodating when we ran into some minor issues. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would definitely come back again!

This was our first stay at the Madawaskan and we're already planning our return! The place was even better than it looks in the pictures and we were blown away when we first walked in. It smelled like a cedar cabin and was impeccably clean. The open concept living room, dinning room and kitchen was the perfect set up for our family of 6 and offered plenty of seating for everyone. We also loved the fact that there is no tv on the main floor I thought we'd miss it, but it was the opposite. The kids even commented that they were happy it was in the basement - and we didn't even turn it on in 3 days. That's kind of a big deal when you have kids and teens. 😂 The house was fully stocked with everything you'll need! All of the things like linens, towels, dishes and cookware were of good quality and clean. I'd even forgot to pack my blow dry and low and behold, there was one the bathroom! The hosts made sure you want for not and are completely equipped!

We absolutely loved staying here with my family, my parents and my brother, it was so spacious and the best stocked Air BNB I’ve ever stayed at in terms of kitchen utensils and activities to do. We used the sauna, jumping into the still freezing lake to cool off, the hot tub and got out onto the water using the kayaks and canoe. There were life jackets in assorted sizes, water guns for the kids. The space is amazing for entertaining, visiting from abroad, we used our stay to host and catch up with aunts and uncles and cousins I haven’t seen in many many years and everyone enjoyed the day so much. Our kids made great memories as their first time being “up north”. Would absolutely stay again the next time we visit Canada.

Shane really help us out. our father was sick and passed away. we had to make a last min trip to Ontario from Alberta, with an autistic child in tow. It was an absolute necessity to have a quiet home base with a kitchen to make food that he would eat. (The bonus of wild turkeys to chase around the yard, was a perk that brought joy, laughter and fun) Shane was kind, accommodating and even stayed nice when my grief and cluttered mind over contacted him. This trip could have gone many ways, but this air b&b was the safe, calm, home base we all needed. thank you so much!!

We just loved Hanna’s place! The cottage was exactly as pictured. The kids loved the standup paddle boards and the grandkids loved swimming in the crystal clear water off the dock - yes - in September! We even caught a fair sized bass - right off the dock. We spent a lot of time kayaking the lovely and serene lake. Thanks Hanna for the great experience and the very thoughtful touches everywhere. You have thought of everything 😀. The screened in porch was magical and we enjoyed eating there. We will definitely be back!

we rented this place for a 40th weekend getaway with family and it was perfect. beautiful area. the hot tub was a wonderful addition. the kitchen was fully stocked. the hosts thought of everything!

Lovely cottage on lake Mississipi that was perfect for 4 people and our puppies. Wonderful communication and easy check in and out process. Good distance from Carleton which has access to all you need. cozy stay.

We enjoyed the area very much, the amenities that are offered are well maintain and clean. It is very quiet and that's why we enjoyed it, as we were looking for a relaxing place to go.

The Row Cottages are an absolute gem! I’m so glad we found them - we will certainly be return guests. Very inviting and peaceful. Gives one the chance to reconnect and get priorities in order. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Becky and Josh, and hugs to the most awesome Golden Retriever ever, I believe his name is Teddy. He joined my husband in the lake for swim and was very entertaining.

Dayna and David are INCREDIBLE hosts. They took care of every detail and looked after us when we were effectively snowed in. Their home is creative, beautiful, peaceful, spacious. I could not have asked for a better place to stay. The whole neighbourhood is gorgeous and talk about lovely people! We want to come back in the summer. And the sauna! Let me tell you, in the winter, this was the sweetest treat. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience and how we were treated - like close friends. They get my highest recommendation.

We had a lovely girls' trip at this beautiful cottage! The space was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was well-stocked, making it easy to cook and enjoy meals together. The views were absolutely wonderful, and we loved taking in the scenery throughout our stay. The nearby hiking trails were a great bonus—perfect for getting outside and exploring the area. My dog also had a wonderful time! It was the perfect retreat, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The cottage exceeded all expectations. Our families loved it here. There were 3 adults and 4 kids, age range from 6-13. There were activities for all ages, from board games to movies, to water activities. The water was clean and great for swimming and fishing. It was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the sun set too. The cottage was so clean and spacious and had everything that we needed and more then was expected. We felt right at home. Faby was a great host and very quick to respond with any questions. Looking forward to booking again next year!

Great place to stay, the cabin is cozy and clean, we can still smell the pine wood that is the building material of the cabin. We came on the thanksgiving long weekend, this year it was very cold, fortunately we brought our winter jackets and sleeping bags. The host is very nice, you can ask for more comforts if you don’t have your own, otherwise it is too cold to sleep. We didn’t bring drinking water, but a general store is 3 minutes driving away. The fall scene was spectacular, the lake is peaceful, the host and her son were friendly and responsive. We may come again in summer when it is warmer.

Amazing place to take in nature, and unplug and unwind in a gorgeous lakeside setting! Looking forward to returning!
