The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Enjoy the outdoor shower with a 16” rainfall shower head under the treehouse next to the spring branch. Our gravel road welcomes you to a cozy home in the trees.

We have seasonal berries and a well-stocked fishing pond. Visit the state parks then come home to catch a breeze on the porch swing, watch fireflies or roast hotdogs at the fire pit.
