Lovely cabin in a beautiful location. The house was clean, tidy and comfortable with everything provided that we could need to cater for ourselves. Bathroom was well stocked and the shower was hot with good pressure. Nice private garden with fire pit was great for toasting marshmallows. Neighbourhood was really quiet and peaceful, extremely green (it feels like you are in the woods) but close to plenty of amenities. Has a very family friendly vibe. Short walk to the shops/supermarket etc. and even closer to the woods/lakes etc. Lots of good outdoor routes to explore. Adva was great with some walking recommendations. 20-30 mins drive to Utrecht and Amsterdam so easy to dip in for a restaurant etc. although there are some good local restaurants which Adva can also fill you in on. Adva in general was a brilliant host, responsive, helpful and thoughtful. Kid loved it, dog loved it, adults loved it, would highly recommend!

Frank nous a accueilli avec le sourire et dans un français impeccable ! Il s'est montré compréhensif sur nos changements d'heure d'arrivée et nous a mis très à notre aise. La maison et son jardin sont un écrin parfait pour des heures de lecture et dolce farniente, entourés pas des oiseaux . On peut manger dehors sur la grande table et profiter de la quiétude du lieu. Et pour ceux qui veulent du sport : il y a un terrain de tennis, de volley ,de ping-pong, foot , juste à l'entrée de la résidence. Frank vous met les équipements à disposition : pratique ! La plage est accessible à pieds , en vélo ou en voiture : des pistes cyclables à l'entrée de la résidence, des jolis chemins à travers les dunes et une ambiance chill dans les bars restaurants en bord de plage. Et si on souhaite découvrir l'architecture et la culture : les villes d'Amsterdam, Harleem, Rotterdam (entre autres ) sont facilement joignables pour un road trip d'une journée. Unser Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen, idyllischen Bauernhaus war einfach perfekt. Schon bei der Ankunft haben wir uns sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das Frühstück war ein Traum, liebevoll zubereitet und unglaublich lecker mit Liebe zu Details. Johan und Imi waren sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und immer für uns da. Es war ein echtes Vergnügen, hier zu sein, wir wären am liebsten noch länger geblieben. Vielen Dank für diese schöne Zeit!

Dorien war immer gut erreichbar und hat uns das Zurechtfinden sehr erleichtert. Das Häuschen entsprach voll und ganz unseren Vorstellungen und wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Umgebung ist waldreich und lädt zum spazieren gehen und wandern ein (unser Hund fand das besonders toll!). In den Orten in der Nähe kann man gut einkaufen und essen gehen. Auch gibt es einige schöne Ausflugsziele. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

This houseboat is one of two, sitting together, at the end of a quiet street, an 8 minute walk from Waterlooplein station, a 16 minute walk to Amsterdam Centraal. The home is a real boat, permanently moored; read the description well. If you have mobility issues, you may want to consider another place. Entry is up metal steps and onto a metal ramp, then onto the edge of the boat. There are steps down into the boat. Patio area is on top of the boat, access by ladder. The boat has a lot of natural lighting from large windows. Street view is of an area of greenery and statues ; canal side view is mostly the other boat with a view of sky and area buildings. The kitchen has a hob, no oven, a dishwasher, refrig and microwave. Kitchen and living room are spacious. There are 3 steps up into the boat's front containing the bedroom with low ceiling and a modern bath. Since is it a boat, there is a "Head". The charming patio is on the top w/table, grill, & greenery. No railings, so be careful.

The host was very friendly, and communication was good. The location is very quiet, and there are parking spaces available. A supermarket and a gas station are within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again.🙌
