Julie is an outstanding host! This house is perfect for any getaway. It was clean, spacious, well equipped, comfortable, and STUNNING outdoor area with a gorgeous pool. This is 3 FULL baths and 1/2 bath!! Two kitchens! Two family rooms! You had space! It made you want to relax! The kitchen was well stocked with any utensil or appliance you would need. It was private. You could really escape and get away. Woodbury and the surrounding towns were jampacked with things to do. There were many places to choose from to eat. Such a variety from steak, seafood, pizza, and American fare pubs and other specialty restaurants. Lots of variety/antique shops, flea market, wine/liquor stores, convenience stores. Just a short drive into Southbury you find more shops, antiques, restaurants, bigger, grocery store, etc. We also drove to a few other neighboring towns. All under 45 minutes. Friendly people! We had a wonderful time! Price is fabulous, house/outdoor area is A+ value! Thank you Julie!!

The house is in a beautiful location. Sharon, CT is definitely worth visiting. Especially during the fall.

This was one of the best places we have stayed. The house was so well stocked with spices and all the things you may need. The furniture and beds were in excellent condition. Sahra and Richard were amazing and kind. They went out of their way to welcome us and my sister who was ill leaving a basket of goodies. I will definitely stay here again.

Was in the area to visit family and this was a perfect location for me. Had just what my family needed to have a great weekend

The unique home was a truly amazing experience. The grandchildren loved the yard. The porch was a peaceful gathering place or a serene place to just think or write or just sit and enjoy. A short drive brings many things to do or see. The piano was amazing. The artwork and history contained in those walls was a bonus gift.

We sought out a quiet and peaceful place we could stay after a long winter. We got exactly that with Monica's home in Kent, Connecticut. We traveled with two dogs and our toddler. This home was able to accommodate that. Our toddler has a lot of energy and seeking out a place where we could get all of his energy out but still maintain a peaceful atmosphere, so we thought, would be hard. But tucked away in the beautiful forest of Kent, we found a place where our toddler could run through the large property and he had plenty of activities inside as well. Monica had everything equipped for families with children. Due to weather, the internet went out the day before we were to check out and unfortunately remained that way the remainder of the trip. But Monica was quick to inform me and we were able to find plenty of activities to do in the home. We truly appreciated all the amenities that this home had to offer for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

I've stayed her many times for business trips. Always convenient, comfortable and quiet. Meets my needs ideally.

My family and I absolutely loved Jonathan's place and would highly recommend the stay. The place was beautiful inside and out, the pictures dont even do it justice! Jonathan was a wonderful host, responsive and friendly. One of my favorite airbnbs, amazing setting dont miss this one!

Our second visit to Shirley's place was very enjoyable (just like our earlier trip); this time, a family birthday and other business in the area. As many commenters have noted: lots of personal touches and an apartment that is clean and comfortable beyond expectations. We appreciate the spacious quarters and the privacy and quiet surroundings here, but Shirley's easy to reach if needed. Thanks. We had a wonderful week.

Great place on a quiet street. Easy parking, separate entry, bedroom has a nice separation from dining/kitchen area, coffee available, host accommodating. Very happy with my week stay.

As usual, I so much enjoyed my stay. Molly was hard at work in her beautiful flower garden, which are lovely to see first thing in the morning. I'll be back, for sure.

Stayed here for 2 nights with a couple friends. Perfect spot for a quick getaway. Backyard and pool area was exactly what we were looking for with lots of space to lounge and relax. Lots of entertainment if you wanted to just hang inside as well. As some of the other reviewers noted, you can definitely hear the hosts move around upstairs. Didn't impact us too much except for Saturday morning. Was a little difficult to sleep in b/c of the noise.

Our stay was extremely quiet until the upstairs neighbors returned. We don't have kids or pets so we're very used to quiet. Getting used to hearing upstairs neighbors took getting used to for me. The place was chock full of supplies, coffee, Scrabble and welcoming decor. The bed was outstandingly comfortable. The bathroom was modern and creative! The outdoor patio, activities and view of the creek were impressive. This is definitely on our "to return to" list.

Absolutely outstanding stay! The host went above and beyond to ensure everything was peaceful, comfortable, and perfectly accommodating from start to finish. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, and their communication and hospitality made me feel truly welcomed. It was the kind of stay that makes you not want to leave—quiet, relaxing, and incredibly well cared for. I can’t recommend the barn in the hills enough!
