I think this is the fourth or fifth time I've booked this house for a family gathering. It's one of my favorite homes in Emporia, and it's a privilege to stay here. We'll be back!

We had a great time here for Christmas with the family from 4 different states. The place is accurately described as historic which comes with a few quirks. Nothing difficult but spacing is different than modern houses. We are a tall family and appreciated the tall celilings and showers. Short toilet in master suite was a surprise though. As someone else said, there are hot and cold spots here, we recommend you bring a sweater in winter. Kitchen was pleasant but somewhat sparsely stocked for a large group. Small dining table and stools combined with seating at the counter was adequate for our needs. We wished there was a dishwasher. The grill plus table and chairs in the backyard was really nice but we didn't use it much because it was winter. Parking is very tight. Only room for one full size vehicle in the driveway. The hosts were responsive and helpful during our stay. We would absolutely again.

Lacey was very responsive with messages. It’s a nice, quiet place away from the city. It was perfect for our stay and locations we were visiting. Lacey stocked this place very nicely. We brought most of what we wanted but there were snacks and my son enjoyed the popcorn machine that had popcorn and butter provided. We will be back again when it’s warmer to enjoy the outdoor spaces. Thank you! Well worth the money!

This was perfect for my family to celebrate Christmas. It’s spacious and homey and so clean. Chris, the host provided the very best care before, during and after our stay. What a blessing for our community. We will definitely stay again in the future.

Beautiful little home with everything you need for a great stay. Cross the road and you’re in the reserve which is quiet and beautiful.

We were in town for a bicycle race and the location and accommodations were perfect. The way Paul setup The Bunker was a great change from the usual accommodations we can find. We really enjoyed the space and the great communication with Paul.

Nice clean space with two bathrooms. Perfect for extended families. Easy to find and walkable to downtown.

The place was clean and very homely. The area is perfect and if your into DiscGolf or biking this place is perfect

We actually ended up not staying since we weren’t prepared for the weather but we found the place easily thanks to Brandon’s helpful directions and it looked just like the pictures. It would’ve been cozy if we stayed and if we ever do camp out here we’d definitely stay here.

This was a perfect set up for a b&b! It would be great for families or someone just stopping through. There was plenty of space to spread out and everything was VERY clean when we arrived! We would definitely stay again!
