The Heron Room on Bass Harbor

The Heron Room is named for the Great Blue Herons that visit our shore. Located on the second floor of our Boat House Cottage, it overlooks Bass Harbor facing the sunset. A workspace with mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker with seating, task lighting, and wifi is provided. Watch the tide change from the deck and the lobster boats heading out at first light. Bring your binoculars — the birding is wonderful — and your water shoes for brisk wading at high tide. This room accommodates two persons.

The Elms - River Room

The Elms is conveniently in Westbrook, with easy access to Portland and the Interstate. The River Room has one queen bed, private bathroom with tub, a desk, large closet, and a view of the Presumscot. This is the most desirable room in the Elms. Historic Building, built by a renowned architect, originally served as a luxury Maine resort to entice business to the local mill. Featuring splendid carved wood features, fireplaces, spacious rooms, and a screened veranda overlooking the river.

Cozy hotel rental at the Acadia Hotel-Downtown. Built in 1884 as a private home, located in the village Center. Private room with full bathroom, QUEEN size bed, cable tv, mini fridge, & wifi. Quite, clean, and the best price in town. These rooms tend to be on the smaller size, and do have SMALL bathrooms. This small, first floor waterfront room is in our historic Main House Inn, and has a large picture window facing the harbor and mountains of Mount Desert Island! Perfect for those who will be spending more time hiking and on the beach It has a queen bed with a private bathroom with tub/shower combination. No A/C, fans provided.
