A cosy country retreat, on the edge of the beautiful village of Over Stowey, with stunning views over the Quantock Hills - the perfect location for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors whether in the hills or along the rugged coast, or if you’re just looking for a quiet peaceful spot to relax and unwind. The Milking Parlour has been lovingly converted to the highest standards from the old stone dairy barn in 2022. We aim to provide a unique and comfortable place for our guests to enjoy.

This self-catering accommodation is located in West Porlock within the Exmoor National Park and is ideal for couples or friends looking for a peaceful retreat in a country cottage. Its location is perfect for walkers with the South West Coast Path and Coleridge Way just 5 minutes-walk away and for sight-seeing and exploring the surrounding countryside. The popular village of Porlock, with local shops, pubs and restaurants, is 1 mile away and the picturesque harbour at Porlock Weir a short walk.

Hidden Cottage, Porlock

Located centrally in Porlock village, this cosy cottage is tucked away in the small winding back lanes. The cottage has an open plan sitting/dining room with log burner and French doors opening out onto its own private decking area, perfect for enjoying morning coffee in the sunshine. Porlock is the perfect base for exploring the unique Exmoor countryside, with the moor on its doorstep and the beach one mile away. Dogs are welcome at Hidden Cottage, we ask for a £10 fee, towels are provided.

Relax in the hot tub spa after a busy day or share a drink on the tree deck built into a 400 year old Oak tree. Cook in a fully equipped kitchen or enjoy the rain whilst sat in a rocking chair. Snooze in a hammock and then relax in front of a film before heading to a comfy king size bed.

The chalet has open plan sociable kitchen/diner/living area overlooking Blue Anchor beach at the front and glimpses of the West Somerset steam Railway to the rear. This bright stonebuilt cottage is located up a verdant combe in the magnificent Quantock Hills. Outside the front-door is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Ancient beech, ash and oak woodland rise to the Iron Age fort on Danesborough hill. Whortleberries abound in Summer on the bracken and heather covered slopes.
