Häuser als Ferienunterkünfte in Monthey District

Wir – Familie mit 3 Kids – hatten eine wunderbare Winterwoche im Chalet von Marianne. Fantastische Lage mit direktem Zugang zu den Pisten. Das Haus bietet alles, was für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt nötig ist. Ein paar Dinge scheinen noch etwas work-in-progress, die tolle Gastgeberin ist aber sehr gut erreichbar und konnte stets weiterhelfen. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können den Ort allen empfehlen.

Sehr herzlicher Empfang durch den Gastgeber. Der Gastgeber hat uns das tolle Holz-Cottage erklärt und Infos zur Region gegeben. Wir konnten uns gut auf Deutsch unterhalten. Wir (Familie mit 2 Kids, 1+4 Jahre) hatten eine tolle Zeit im Cottage. Sehr gute Kids-Ausstattung: Es gab Babybett mit Matratze, Kapuzenhandtuch, Kleinkind-Hochstuhl, normaler Trip-Trap-Hochstuhl, Spielzeug und im sehr großen Garten noch Schaukel, Spieltraktor etc. Waschmaschine und großer Wäscheständer waren auch klasse. Das Haus hat sehr praktisch Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern. Haus und Garten sind umzäunt. Der eigene Parkplatz liegt direkt vor dem Haus. Die Lage im Nationalpark ist sehr ruhig. Den Genfersee erreicht man durch einen etwas längeren Fußmarsch über einen der Kanäle, die zum Genfersee führen. In direkter Nähe ist ein kleiner See auf dem man Vögel und Enten beobachten kann. Ein schöner großer Spielplatz ist ca. 5 min mit dem Auto entfernt (Eingang Villeneuve, Blumenladen). Jederzeit wieder!

Wir haben als Familie 3 Tage in der tollen Unterkunft verbracht. Wir haben uns von Beginn an wohl gefühlt. Aktivitäten in Bouveret konnten wir gut zu Fuss erreichen. Die Unterkunft ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Sehenswürdigkeiten im Unterwallis. Wir würden diese Unterkunft jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

This was just a great experience. I was there for a full month, did not regret a day of it. Everyone down there obviously speaks French; Rita comes from Italy, her husband comes from Luzern and speaks German, and son Patrice studied music in Boston so is fluent in English. They are all so very friendly and hospitable, will do whatever it takes to make you comfortable. The apartment is the perfect size for one person, might be tight for two over a long period. The neighborhood is very quiet at night. I always felt very safe, never once locked the apartment door for the entire month. Rita loves her garden and loves to bake; if she takes a shine to you, she might even bring over a piece of cake or pie as she did for me. Parking is in her driveway is very tight, but you get used to it, having a small car helps. And while downtown Monthey is only a 15 minute walk downhill, the uphill walk back up (more than 100 meters ascent) takes longer and is no fun, especially when it's hot, and you don't see anybody on foot doing that. There are really no restaurants in practical walking distance, you'll need to get in your car to get a bite to eat.

Ancien chalet spacieux, agréable et très pratique avec des espaces bien séparés ce qui permet d’être nombreux sans se marcher dessus. Assez d’espaces de rangements pour skis, habits, séchage de vêtements mouillé etc. Nous étions 2 familles (9 personnes) pendant 1 semaine et nous avons passé de très bon temps. Merci à Maxine et la personne qui s’occupe de la maison et la communication!

This home is superbly crafted with stunning views of the mountains across the valley. Good location for all directions either to Lausanne or Martigny. The house has plenty of stairs which will keep you well exercised as well as having plenty of space to spread out in. I would have liked a freezer (for ice and ice cream) and a fan or two to stay cool (the temperature was 36 degrees - quite normal for this time of year) as the house doesn't have any aircon and so some of the rooms got very hot and uncomfortable, especially at night. I would recommend you take your own fan if you are staying in summer. My husband loved playing the piano and I liked relaxing in the outdoor net on the first floor. You really got the sense of being in a family home rather than and AirBnB from the delightful nic nacks and books around the house.

Das Haus erfüllt alle Wünsche mit den gemütlichen Schlafzimmer, neu renov. Badezimmern, dem hellen Wohnzimmer. Die Küche ist ausgesprochen gut ausgestattet, sogar Kaffeekapseln und Geschirrspültabs waren da. Zu sechst war es absolut komfortabel. Der Garten bietet viele schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten. Schade, dass wir diesen nicht so oft nutzen konnten (Wetter). Sehr freundliche Begrüssung und grosszügig, dass wir am Abreisetag etwas länger bleiben durften . Das war für uns perfekt. Gerne wieder.
