古き良き日本の伝統的家屋なので現代的なホテルと比べてしまうといろいろ不便はありますが、とっても広く周りには家がないのでお子様連れやペット連れの方などは周りに気を遣わず思い切りのんびりできるかと思います。ホストさんは過去一と言って良い程フレンドリーな方なのでいろいろコミュニケーションをとるとより充実した旅になると思います。

I had a wonderful time this weekend in a very peaceful neighborhood. Everything I could possibly need was within walking distance and I was able to get to and from the train station so easily for longer trips. I would absolutely love to stay here again.

Great location in the historical area of Arita. We had a car, which enabled us to travel around easily but also found the location very walkable. Especially for dinners in the evening and morning walks through the backstreets of town and along the river. The local Yakatori restaurant the host recommended to us and Kyushu Ceramics museum were highlights of our stay. The locals are incredibly friendly too.

We werden hartelijk onthaald door meneer Nagashima. Hij hielp ons met alles: boeken van restaurant, regelen van de dolfijnen excursie en bestellen van heerlijk verse sashimi. Net als uitsmijter een vuurwerkshowtje en een zelf bereid afscheid ontbijt. De dolfijnen excursie was geweldig en het eiland is prachtig groen en rustig. Echt een aanrader!

Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay than at Big Bridge Guest Room. This place is a little out of the way if you're visiting Saga City, but we found it to be the perfect quiet home base in rural Japan, and the train station is a 10 min. walk (3 minute cycle with the free bicycles offered us) to Ushizu station. From there, trains run relatively regularly to Saga and take around 8-10 min. The place itself was gorgeous, with a beautiful tatami mat room to sleep in, and a view of the adjoining rice paddies. We cycled all the way to Kiyomizu falls, which was tough as it was a very hot day in April, but it was worth it. Most serene waterfall I've ever been to. The local specialty at the falls is carp, which we passed on, but maybe the next person booking a stay at Big Bridge can try it! 10/10 stay in Ushizu, anyway 🙏🏼
