The river on your doorstep so if you don't swim in it during the summer, you can see how it grows in the winter next to a fireplace as you hear it roar. Handvol Gruis Guesthouse

The perfect farmstay getaway, safe and quiet. Nestled between the Hantam Mountains. The house is rustic and old but has everything you need with two inside fireplaces as well as a lovely stoep. Its ideal spot for a family holiday with beautiful nature surrounding the house. Hiking, bird watching and cycling are some of the things to keep you busy. 28km from the Klipwerf turn off. We are off the grid with no electrical kitchen appliances other than a frigde and freezer and gasstove.

The Tin Shack

"The Tin Shack" is a beautiful container-built cabin situated on a hill behind the West Coast town of St Helena Bay. The cabin overlooks the entire bay with the majestic Cederberg mountains in the distance. It has two ensuite bedrooms with compost toilets, and a spacious open plan kitchen/living area with a cast iron woodburner fireplace which makes the cabin warm and cozy even in winter. The spacious deck has a Weber BBQ, outdoor seating, and a woodfired hot tub.

Stacking doors open onto a patio with a braai (barbeque) & gorgeous sea views - ideal for alfresco dining.
