The Shack has been built, fitted and furnished using up-cycled, re-cycled, reclaimed, new, old, vintage, shabby, retro, re-purposed or anything different or quirky. We’re constantly adding to it. Det händer något med oss när vi tar oss tid att bara vara. Att leva det lite primitiva livet för en stund utan för den delen behöva tumma på alla bekvämligheter. Att släppa på vardagens bestyr, lägga ifrån sig mobilen och låta sig förunnas av det som finns runt om. Tända en eld, paddla kanot, titta ut över vattenbrynet från sängkanten då även bävern kan simma förbi ibland, koka kaffe och laga mat över öppen eld. Sängen är färdigbäddad när du/ni kommer. Tämä uusi (10/2025) kolmionmuotoinen mökki sijaitsee pienen järven rannalla vain 20 minuutin ajomatkan päässä Tampereen keskustasta, mutta ison metsäisen tontin keskellä tuntuu kuin olisit keskellä lappia. Herää lintujen lauluun, nauti aamukahvi laiturilla ja katsele, kun usva nousee veden pinnasta. Tee patikka- tai maastopyöräretki läheisessä luonnonpuistossa tai kokeile kalaonneasi. Iltasauna, kylpytynnyri, takkatuli ja tähtitaivas kruunaavat päivän.
