The Hacienda del Sol is a Historic Bed and Breakfast built in 1804. The Hacienda was Mabel Dodge Lujan and Tony Lujan's first home together in Taos. Guests that have stayed at our Inn included Georgia O'Keefe, Ansel Adams, Willa Cather, DH Lawrence, etc. We have two big beautiful lawns in the back of our Inn with clear sunset views of Taos Mountain. We serve a delicious, gourmet free breakfast. The Love Apple, (A+ restaurant), shares our driveway and is walking distance for dinner.

We have remodeled two single-story historic homes into several patio rooms with thick adobe walls. hand-hewn vigas, custom Talavera tiles and saltillo tiled floors. Most of the patio rooms also have enclosed private outdoor patios. All rooms enjoy outdoor entrances, ceiling fans and unshared HVAC systems. Available with King, Queen or 2 Queen-sized beds and microwaves, refrigerators, free coffee, and guest robes. Some of the rooms are “dog friendly” with a $35 per dog per night charge

Washington Plaza Hotel - Avery Suite, Free Parking

The ‘Avery’ is a must see studio space w/ free parking; featuring designer furniture and linens. Perfect location steps from the Plaza. 2nd floor rooms with A/C & a balcony overlooking the train yard and mountains. This is the closest accommodations to the train yard in town, walk right down to the station. It is also walkable to most of the restaurants in town as well. Our rooms have an old west feel with all of the modern conveniences of the present with high quality furniture, artwork, and linens. The large bathrooms feature detailed tile adding a luxurious touch as well.

The Cottage in the Woods is a perfect retreat for romantics or those looking for privacy in natural surroundings. The lush European-style gardens that surround the cottage delight the senses. Stay at The Tarabino Inn, a lovely 1907 Victorian Mansion that beckons back to a simpler time, and calls you to slow down, relax, and enjoy the views. This room has one bedroom with a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa, a separate kitchen and dining area, and a flat-screen 32in TV. This room is on the first floor. Alpine Lodge no longer allows trailers on property, that includes loading and unloading trailers. Any guests traveling with trailers must use Red River's public parking areas for parking, loading, and unloading vehicles from trailers.
