James and Andrea are awesome. During my stay, there was a power outage due to the weather, they reached out to me first and offered me a generator. Fortunately the power came back soon after a night. They were always responsive whenever I needed anything. My pup and I enjoyed our stay at their beautiful house.

Thank you for sharing your lovely, well appointed, character home with us Renee! Our stay over the long weekend was everything we had hoped for. We had a busy time with two family events and really enjoyed returning to the house to relax and enjoy your amazing back yard. It is truly a peaceful oasis! The children loved the pool and the adults all welcomed the evening hot tub. The flower gardens and pots are stunning. Thanks also for the lovely welcome gifts. We were very spoiled! We had a great time at Andrew’s cottage. The place is lovely and super clean. Andrew’s instructions to reach the cottage were very useful and clear. We spent all the daylight hours in the backyard by the river - what an amazing space - so many different options for just sitting around!! My whole family loved kayaking in the river (current is not strong) - kayaks, paddles and life jackets (even kids size) were provided. Our 5 year old loved the trampoline. Sunsets were spectacular. The cottage itself is super comfortable, very clean, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. The living area has a large picture window - perfect to sit by, sip a hot drink and watch the geese on the river when it is still cold to be outside. Overall great stay and would love to come back for a longer duration.

We had an amazing time at Pete’s. The location was perfect, we had our own private beach. The kids enjoyed the provided kayaks and water toys. Our dogs lived in the water for 7 days. The house is much bigger than it appears in photos, and has ample room for a large family or group.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kyle's cottage. We were 2 couples staying for a relaxing weekend. The cottage was super clean with everything you could possibly need for a perfect time. the hot tub was clean and ready for use. Kyle was kind and answered all our questions quickly. We would 100% reccomend Kyle's cottage. We will return!

We had a great stay at Lisa’s place. It fit the five of us comfortably with more than enough space. The neighborhood was quiet but still an easy walk to everything we needed. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend or a longer-term stay, it’s an excellent choice. Would absolutely book again!

Jane’s cabin was perfect for our family getaway! We enjoyed the view of the water and taking long dog walks in the bush. Sitting in front of the log fire with my coffee was my favourite thing. Jane was very responsive and helpful letting us check in early. We highly recommend Jane’s cabin. We had a fabulous stay.

Had a wonderful stay and Cassandra made us feel right at home. The two Lhasa apsos Jackie and Chloe were friendly and well behaved. The place was clean and inviting and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit Ottawa

Diana was so generous! She left food for us in the fridge and on the counter -all the essentials plus bread, milk, peanut butter, jam, and much fruit. This place has a lot of character -a sunroom with antiques, generous room sizes, something for every age - toys and books for babies and children, games for teens and smart TV for adults. The large backyard and short walk to the river are so peaceful for nature- lovers. This home is close to very interesting boutiques and historical sights on Carleton Place’s main street. Such a blessing!

The place was great. Spacious and comfortable. Fairly quiet. We were there during a snowstorm and the host helped with clearing snow and getting us out of a ditch. Highly recommend.

This is was our 2nd time staying at Suzie's place and we had the pleasure of enjoying another comfortable, clean, and cozy stay. It's a convenient location, especially if you don't want be in the heart of downtown Ottawa, but just about 10 minutes away. Suzie is a wonderful hostess.

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay. Two of us and a dog went up to Pakenham for the new year and I can think of a better way to have done it. Unfortunately everything was closed for the week so we didn’t get to experience the brewery, but maybe next time! Everything was great. Clean, beautiful scenery and the creek going by the fire pit was serene. We’ve been to similar bunkies in the past and we actually found this one to be quite spacious. Only things I’d change: We knew going in that there would be no running water for the winter, but a shower would have been ideal - but again clearly mentioned that it would not be available. Using the washroom also wasn’t ideal as the smell could stick around. As long as the door was closed it was fine, however. I will be recommending this place to friends and family.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at the cabin. The location is peaceful and very private with a stunning view of the lake. Our hosts were friendly and provided clear instructions on location. We hope to come back again!

This was the second stay at this cabin, lovely setting with all the amenities needed as well as prompt communication. I would recommend this cabin for those who like a restful stay in a quiet place. Loved watching the ducks and geese on the lake!

Cozy! The cabin was spotless and supplied with all the amenities one would need. Right on the water as advertised. The cabin faces west so we got to view two beautiful sunsets. Very quiet and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely rebook again for another getaway.

Pretty view of the Rideau River. Quiet spot to relax, take a stroll around the neighborhood. The kitchen had everything that was needed to cook. Comfy bed with a great view.

Place was great and so close to Ottawa, we will book staying at Jan place again.

We absolutely love Jan’s cute cabin in Carleton Place! The cabin was situated right on the lake and made for a beautiful and peaceful ambience! The kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub was the perfect way to relax in the evenings. Jan was super responsive and helpful and was a delight to deal with. I highly recommend this place and it would be beautiful in the summer with direct access to the lake. I’d love to stay at Jan’s cabin again soon!
