We were four families who stayed here for a weekend in April, and the home was perfect for our group. It was spacious enough for all of us to move around comfortably, gather for meals, and spend quality time together. From games and books to spices you might have left behind, the hosts have truly anticipated guests’ needs. The views from this house are absolutely stunning. We saw plenty of wildlife, including deer, wild turkeys, and eagles, which added to the peaceful, natural setting. The dog run area was another great feature— Our favorite spot was the screened-in porch. One thing to note for those with mobility concerns: the walk from the car to the house is a bit of a trek. The hosts provide carts to help transport your things, but if you’re not able to carry items or have people to help, it’s something to keep in mind. Overall, we loved our stay here and we will definitely be back.

We had a really great visit. The beds and linens were beautiful. The house is full of unique and interesting pieces. Leah, the owner, is very responsive and helpful. The location is very convenient to many cute towns along the Great River Road with lots of fun shops and restaurants. Thank you, Leah!

This house was the perfect setting for our girls getaway. The views are breathtaking, it is just a half a mile to restaurants. 1 mile to downtown. The house was spotless and the fully stocked kitchen was amazing. The kitchen table was an amazing spot for us to all gather around and make memories. The huge window in the living room shows off an amazing view of the Mississippi River Valley. You will not regret staying here!

The Franklin Cottage is a beautiful and friendly place to stay with family. Our family felt right at home, like staying with family. The kitchen had everything we needed. The fridge was cold and ready for all our goodies. The location is ideal for a private stay and easily accessible to areas of downtown Red Wing. Highly recommend for all those that are mobile and can easily navigate steps. Thank You to our fabulous hosts and house manager.

Place was secluded and nice space for larger group. Snowed while we were there and very responsive and coming to clear. We were staying with 5 adults and 4 kids skiing at Afton/Welch so the location was good. Didn’t spend anytime checking out the small towns or local sites, but appeared to be plenty of that. Also a nice sledding hill in backyard for kids.

The place was in a nice quiet area and was nice and private. The floors could have used a good sweeping. The hosts left some nice local goodies for us. There seemed to be a lot more checkout cleanup rules than other places I've stayed. Overall, it was nice and I would stay here again.

We spent a month at Megan's place in Prescott and it was a great experience! The kids loved the game room and we loved how close it was to the river and downtown Prescott. We recommend it!

Grant’s place was great for us! Nice deck off the back. Off street parking for one vehicle. Friendly neighbors. Tucked back in a peaceful neighborhood yet close enough that we were able to walk into town for our event as well as the shops, restaurants and local night life. River Falls is a lovely little town and we’d stay again with Grant no hesitation. Thanks for a great trip!

Jen and Brett’s place highly exceeded our expectations!!! We came to stay at the cottage as a last minute weekend getaway. The property was spotlessly clean and so comfortable! The hosts were amazing and their dog Fiona adorable. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family!!
