My husband and I are in our 60's, we did not hire a car but relied on the buses. The Number two bus is right outside, the number 1 & 3 are down the hill and a bit of a walk, easier for us if we walk a bit of a zig zag- up one block stop for a wee sip and then continue :) the number 4 bus stops about one block down and over a block. We took the bus to Lido and enjoyed the swimming complex with a huge pool, lockers , showers. We enjoyed a few jazz venues, walking along the promenade and roof top views. The apartment was lovely and had a nice cross breeze and a washer/dryer. We would book again. :)

Die Wohnung ist gross, mit direktem Blick auf‘s Meer, grosser und überaus praktischer Küche. Die Einrichtung ist portugiesisch mit Holzmöbeln, die Betten sind bequem, die beiden Bäder sehr sauber und blitzblank. Die Lage ist hervorragend, die Früchte und die Getränke zur Begrüssung waren sehr freundlich. Highlight für die Kids war der riesige Kühlschrank mit Eismaschine! Sehr empfehlenswert!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa da Eva. The description was spot on and instructions to get there and check in really helpful. It’s in a beautiful location with great sunset views. Has everything you need to stay in and cook. We’d recommend that you hire a car if staying here. We tried a number of the recommendations in the booklet Eva provided and loved them. Apartment itself was clean, modern and bright. Perfect for the three of us!

Polecam miejsce. Jest położone w pięknej dolinie z łatwym dojazdem i miejscem do parkowania (co nie jest oczywiste na Maderze). Mieszkanko idealne dla 2 osób - mieliśmy wszystko czego potrzebowaliśmy. Obok lokalna kawiarnia i sklep, gdzie rano można zjeść pyszne śniadanie i wypić świeżą kawę. Dodatkowo niezwykle pomocna i sympatyczna Janine 💛

We had a fantastic stay! The place was cozy, clean, and even more beautiful than in the photos. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and we felt truly welcome. The location was peaceful, the bed super comfortable, and the whole atmosphere perfect for a relaxing getaway. Would definitely love to come back!

Die gesamte Anlage ist der sehr sauber und ruhig. Die Wohnung ist modern und klar geschnitten. Die Ausstattung der Küche für einfaches Kochen gut ausgestattet. Leider liegt der Balkon den ganzen Tag im Schatten (Reisezeitraum im Februar), im Sommer ist man damit bestimmt gut aufgehoben. Wenn man Sonne möchte geht man ein wenig und ist am Pool. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Our stay at the place of Carlota & Babi was wonderful! Everything worked perfectly, the apartment is a gem and the view to the sea stunning and beautiful, as is the area and the entire island. Highly recommended!

appartement spacieux, propre et boen équipé dans un environnement calme. Petite vue mer. Epicerie de 1ere nécessité et pizzeria à proximité. Carlos est réactif. Accès facile pour toute l'ile. Je recommande totalement ce logement.

Excellent séjour dans le studio de Nelio. Les explications d'accès sont claires. L'arrivée est flexible. La femme de Nelio est très gentille, elle nous a offert des gâteaux, elle parle français. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans le studio pour cuisiner. Le chauffage a été bien utile lorsque les nuits étaient un peu plus fraîches. Le Airbnb est très bien localisé à proximité du départ de la randonnée vers le Pico Ruivo et de la randonnée de Caldeiro Verde.

Merci Nellita pour ces deux semaines magnifiques sur votre île. L'appartement était parfait moi qui aime la tranquilité. Je garderai de très bons souvenirs des couchers de soleil sur la terrasse et de la proximité des Madériens dans les bars/restaurants du quartier. A refaire sans hésitation...Até a proxima Nellita

Isabel’s apartment is centrally located on a quiet street. It’s within short walk to Funchal old town attractions and water front. Restaurants and grocery stores are all nearby. The apartment is gated with a private parking. It is equipped with all household essentials. Isabel greeted us near the building and showed us around inside the apartment. Madeira island is very beautiful. We took two full days on the island for scenic drive and one day walking around central Funchal. We are very happy with our stay and strongly recommend Isabel’s apartment.

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen! Die Wohnung war genau wie auf den Bildern beschrieben. Alles sehr sauber und der Garagenstellplatz war ideal mit dem Mietwagen. Wir haben den Balkon am Morgen mit dem Sonnenaufgang immer sehr genossen. Die Gegend war sehr sicher. Die Kommunikation mit Avelino war super einfach und wir konnten sogar früher einchecken! Wir würden wieder kommen und können einen Aufenthalt wirklich empfehlen!

The most equipped Airbnb I’ve stayed at. Everything has been carefully thought through which made it an amazing place to stay. Very responsive hosts. The place itself is located a little out so would definitely recommend a vehicle of some sorts. Thank you!

Notre séjour à Seixal a été très agréable. Le logement correspondait à l’annonce, l’emplacement est très pratique à 2 minutes à pied de la plage de sable noir. Parfait pour y aller le matin de bonne heure ou le soir lorsque les touristes sont partis. L’emplacement est également très pratique pour les randos et visites de proximité. Enfin un véritable coup de cœur pour le jardin adorablement bien aménagé et très agréable pour petit déjeuner, déjeuner ou dîner ou tout simplement prendre le soleil.

Wir waren mit der Unterkunft sehr zufrieden, vorallem die Aussicht von dem Balkon vor dem Schlafzimmer war toll, wir haben dank der großen Balkontür und den bequemen Betten wunderbar geschlafen. Wie auch schon andere Reisende angemerkt haben, gibt es bellende Hunde in der unmittelbaren Nachbarschaft , aber für die kann der sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber nicht. Das einzige, was wir anmerken möchten, die Küchenausstattung ist auf das Nötigste reduziert, es gibt genau 3 Löffel etc.

Endroit magnifique ! Nous avons passé un super séjour, au calme. La maison contient tout ce qu’il faut pour être bien. Bruno et sa femme sont adorables et aux petits soins.

Nous avons passé un super séjour chez Susana, le logement est confortable et lumineux. Le bus est juste en face, les commerces à 3 minutes à pied et le plus : le cadre idyllique de l’hôtel avec la piscine et le spa !! Merci à Susana pour sa réactivité et ses conseils !

We are glad we booked at this spot! The balcony was wonderful to have and everything was clean. What stood out the most was our very responsive host making sure we got all checked in even while her car was broken down on the side of the road! Despite the emergency, she responded to all our messages promptly and helped us check in. I was extra grateful when I woke up extremely sick from some bad fruit the night before and we were allowed a late check out until I recovered! We even left one of our passports at check out and she made sure the staff kept it safe for us. Very helpful owners, would recommend.

Betty is the top host! She welcomed us with open arms. Very fast to respond, friendly and helpful! We were able to check out in the afternoon and enjoyed our last lunch at home before leaving for the airport. The view of the mountains is breathtaking at day and night time. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was our 3rd visit to Madeira with our elderly mum. She got beautiful bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in shower. Betty also got an armchair for mum so she could relax on the balcony. We had such a comfortable and great stay! highly recommended!

à notre arrivée nous avons été très bien accueilli par Ana. Elle nous a tout expliqué et nous avons même pu arriver un peu en avance dans l'appartement. Elle nous a donné des conseils de visite, de restaurant, et aussi elle nous a indiqué le supermarché le plus proche. Ana a été au top !!! L'appartement est parfait, il y a tout ce qu'il faut même encore plus que ce qu'on avait imaginé. Merci pour tout! Nous avons pu profiter à fond de cette île magnifique . Et Gabriel a passer quasiment toute ses soirées dans la piscine 😄 merci encore de notre part à tous les 3

It was a very nice apartment with a lovely terass and outside kitchen facilities. We were out and about during these days and didn't get to use the BBQ or the jacuzzi, and would recommend to stay here longer than two nights to make use of it all. To be clear, it is part of a family house but you barley notice them living next doors. An easy parking spot is included as well.
