Settle into this unique northwest retreat tucked into cozy Burke Bay. Built in the 1960s, this spacious A-frame has fun vintage vibes with modern comforts. Surrounded by 6+ acres of lush forrest, the whole crew will have plenty of room to get out and explore. At the base of two massive cedar trees, enjoy a relaxing soak in the bubbling cedar hot tub that overlooks the bay and its abundant marine life. Seals have been spotted swimming in the waters below. Enjoy a scenic 1 hour drive to Olympic National Park, or watch for porpoises, otters and the resident bald eagles from the couch.

He wisely recognized for decades to come this would be a prized place of rest, enjoyed by 5 generations. Our two kayaks for beginners and new paddle board are available for rent. Explore the unbelievable beauty of the Olympic National Park just a few miles away featuring hiking to rainforests, glaciers, and mountain lakes.

Quiet and serene, but just 10 minutes from the town of Silverdale, 15 minutes to Poulsbo, and 19 miles to Seattle, as the crow flies. Catch the ferry from nearby Bremerton, Kingston, or Bainbridge Island. Come relax, enjoy the weather and nature we have to offer.

McDonald Cove Cabin

Rustic cozy cabin. Open concept for easy entertaining with glorious views of the water. Main floor bedroom with Queen bed plus open loft with Queen bed. The cabin has one bathroom opposite the downstairs bedroom. Great outdoor living with two decks; front deck facing the waterfront. Use stairs to access the beach and boat house which houses two single kayaks, one double kayak, life jackets, and beach chairs for guest use. One exterior security camera, which monitors the driveway is present.

Enjoy 600 feet of waterfront access to a beautiful sandy beach with a view of the Cascades or walk to the Foulweather Bluff Preserve, a “Nature Conservancy” beach with a stunning view of the Casades. Skunk Bay is on the north tip of the Kitsap Peninsula, three miles north of Hansville – just 20 minutes north of the Kingston Ferry Dock.
