The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

Our original 1970’s cabin sits on the historic Withlacoochee River with breathtaking views. Nothing fancy but very comfortable and clean. Quiet and relaxing. A perfect place to recharge your spirit. You can also bring your boat and tie to our private dock and enjoy the 5.7 miles of pristine crystal clear Rainbow River. Although not a direct view of Rainbow River, our beautiful private waterfront cove directly adjoins Rainbow River for a memorable vacation.

Or hang out at the private park, swim, fish or just relax. Five minute walk to the private 3 acre park from my place or jump on the golf cart and cruise down. FREE use of the kayaks, golf cart and paddle boards during your stay.
