Boscawen Park is a favourite with the kids in Malpas (short drive from the centre or walkable) and a walk around the duck pond. There are a couple of nice pubs and 2 cafes.

Kynance has a National Trust car park but can be very busy on a nice day, especially in school hols and weekends. Make sure you check the tides and go when it’s low to enjoy it fully

Great walks to Porth Joke (a ‘secret’ beach with limited parking so always a nice quiet one), or the other way along the Gannel estuary

The closest big beach to St Agnes. Very long walks along the beach at low tide.
There’s a pub which sits right on the beach called the Watering Hole which is a great sunset spot.
There’s a natural rock pool built into the sea side of the large rock on the beach, kids love it.
Brilliant beach for learning to surf with hire from Piran surf.

Perranporth Beach
The closest big beach to St Agnes. Very long walks along the beach at low tide.
There’s a pub which sits right on the beach called the Watering Hole which is a great sunset spot.

Chapel Porth Beach
South West Coast PathOur favourite beach! Only 5 mins drive or a decent walk from the Lookout.
At low spring tides you can walk between here and Porthtowan on the beach. We like to do this one way and the coast path the other way.

A great cycle trail, fairly flat and can do sections without having to do the whole thing. We like to park at Wadebridge and ride to Padstow for lunch before riding back.
It’s essential to stop at the Camel Valley vineyard for wine tasting on the way past, though it seems in Covid times you need to book a slot in advance !

A lovely garden by the sea
This is a National Trust house but we park here to do a woodland walk. There are 2 small loops which join to make a good 1.5 hour ish walk through woodland and along the estuary. It’s perfect for dog walking!
