Great walks close to the University of British Columbia. There is a great drive to get to parts of it with view points out to UBC along parts of Marine Drive. If you would like me to show you the drive, I'm happy to help you out. There are lots of trails in here. I do not recommend walking in the park by yourself, but with someone there will be no worries. Stunning views would be along the drive and around UBC, but you are in a rainforest otherwise.

This is called a Grind for a reason. It is very steep and people use this trail as a training hill. You will see people hiking as fast as they can and you will also see touristy in flip flops wondering when they will get to the top. Wear proper hiking shoes or good running shoes and prepare to sweat! Reward at the top, views of the city, mountain views at the top, beer & food if you would like.
