Salt Pond Farmhouse

Salt Pond Farmhouse is a charmingly preserved 1813 three-bedroom cape, on the Blue Hill Peninsula, about half way between Blue Hill and Deer Isle, and an hour or so from beautiful Acadia National Park. The house overlooks scenic Salt Pond, and there is a path to the pond side, where small boats may be launched from the grassy shore when the tide is in. The Blue Hill Peninsula offers many activities, including sightseeing, art galleries, water sports, hiking, biking, birding, dining, and more.

Shipbuilder's Home ON the Water

Built by John Cheever in the 19th Century, this unique space was used as his workshop as he constructed schooners on Conary Cove. Our home is completely surrounded by water; facing the peaceful and protected Conary Cove, and backed by the tranquil Mill Pond. Guests are welcome to use our private docks on both bodies of water. We have small water craft and grandpa is always happy to take guests out on his sailboats. The space is open yet cozy and highlights the craftsmanship of the era.

The property is 5 miles from Wooden Boat School and is centrally located for any number of activities, including staying home and peacefully reading.

New open apartment at the top of easy-access spiral stairs, private, and quiet located in the forest and a short walk to the sea. It features a balcony facing eastward, a queen size bed, and futon to sleep an additional two people. Also included is a kitchenette with a small refrigerator, hot-plate, and microwave. There is a full bath with fresh towels, hot shower, and a dining area which includes a pine table with benches.
