The Star Hut at Rannoch Station

Unique, single-room glass-fronted hut in a silver birch/rowan wood on a small hill, full of character with a spectacular view 25 miles to the East. Rannoch Moor is a place of peace and tranquillity, there is no noise (after the 9.05pm train) and no light pollution. Weather permitting, you can watch the stars and sunrise while lying in bed, see deer walking in the wood, experience being cosy in the midst of dramatic weather or listen to the dawn chorus. The “Wee Bothy” offers a great base to explore the North East Coast, our scenic Angus Glens, and nearby Towns and Cities with places of interest all around. The Seaside/Harbour town of Arbroath is a 5 min drive away, with lots of lovely Cafes, Restaurants, Cinema and Theatre. Golfing, Fishing , Kayaking round the Cliffs and Walking, are plentiful in and around the area with Carnoustie Golf Links a 15 minute drive. Bus and Train Station in town for those who want to venture further.

The Little Skye Bothy

We have replaced our Little Skye Bothy in 2022. Same view but a little more space and you still have your own piece of tranquility with outstanding views to the loch and the mountains. There will be more photos to follow soon. The pod has kitchen facilities, 2 ring hob and microwave (no oven). There is a shower room, breakfast bar and stools, TV and wifi is available.
