We had a wonderful stay at the yurts. The site is just beautiful (we loved all the animals!) and the nearby amenities (The Lagg Inn, the distillery etc) are fab! The yurt itself was really cute with a lovely outdoor fire pit area (with picnic bench and logs to sit on - bring your own folding chairs!). The little kitchen area was great and the bathroom was very clean with a fantastic hot/powerful shower! The double bed was super comfortable, the futons somewhat less so! Communication a bit slow at times but overall a wonderful stay!

Loved the Yurt, the green space and the clear environmental commitment. A quiet and thoughtful place. Andrew and Pippa managed to swap us to a dog friendly yurt at short notice too which was absolutely great of them. Thank You .

Great stay at the yurt everything as described and responsive host ! Also located in a good area on the island would recommend to anyone visiting Arran Easy to check in and all amenities provided pots pans plates etc

Yurta pulita e funzionale, è stato bellissimo dormirci riscaldati dal fuoco della stufa. Un'atmosfera magica e rilassante. È cosí bello stare in Yurta che varrebbe la pena di passarci un giorno intero in tranquillità, magari leggendo un buon libro alla sera riscaldati dal fuocherello. La cucina ha tutto il necessario e gli spazi per il cibo. I bagni sono strani al primo inpatto ma in realtà sono puliti, funzionali e sostenibili. Jon ed Emma sono stati carini. Abbiamo apprezzato molto anche i messaggini che ci lasciavano sulla lavagnetta. Posto magico, consigliato al 100%.

We had an amazing time at Fay’s yurt, both her and Jamie were super helpful and very friendly, they made us feel very welcome and explained everything to us on arrival while showing us around as well as giving us some tips of places to visit nearby. They were attentive and there to help us when we needed but also gave us privacy. The yurt itself is unreal, really clean and tidy with everything we needed inside and the log fire was great, made the place so cosy. The walled garden is absolutely beautiful and the 3 friendly goats were a real highlight for us, we went to see them every morning! The kitchen and bathroom areas were well stocked and clean, it was great to have access to them both and made our stay really comfortable. The surrounding areas are also stunning, a truly special place if you’re looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing to stay. It’s well situated for visiting the places we wanted to go. We would love to go back, thank you for having us! ❤️

A very quiet and peaceful location with a nice setting over the pond. We enjoyed the hot tub, the BBQ and putting the fire on to get the yurt cosy before going to bed. It was exactly what we were looking for. The crannoch yurt was also super private so we really did have a peaceful and relaxing weekend away. Recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet retreat. Thank you Jamie for having us.

We had a wonderful time in this very pretty and well equipped yurt. The wood burning stove kept us warm on the chilly nights and there was plenty of room for our family of four. The lovely hot shower was very welcome after our days out walking the local fells. On our chill out days, we spent many hours on the beach just 10 minutes walk from the yurt. Thank you Fiona and Paul for making us feel very welcome and for the Easter eggs.

Lovely hosts Beautiful view hot tub was all ready for arriving the yurt was presented with a Unique style and thoughtful finishing touches like bath robes slippers . Kitchen had all utensils needed. We even got to use the bbq with all the utensils needed. I would definitely come back here 10/10 Thank you

The Yurt was a perfect spot for us to spend a couple of days on Skye, well located for Trotternish and the Waterbish peninsulas and also for food / amenities in Portree. The Yurt is as you’d hope quirky and cosy, with the log burner doing a great job at warming it up on our rainy afternoons! Sophie was great, very responsive and full of recommendations for local things to do and eat. We’d recommend the Ferry Inn at Uig for dinner - a bit pricey but full of character and a really friendly staff.

Timothy yurt was a great place to stay even during colder nights. The log burner was an excellent feature and the hot tub was just amazing.

We were very excited to stay in a yurt and weren’t disappointed. The reviews which mention the warmth inside aren’t wrong; it is very toasty. We arrived in torrential rain so it felt like we were driving to the middle of nowhere but we found it with Mike’s instructions. He was there to greet us and go through the fire and where everything is. We had 4 beds and 1 bed is pulled out from underneath a single bed - that’s not what we were expecting but it didn’t matter. They’re comfy and clean. There is a lot provided in terms of cutlery, pans and tea/coffee. Everything you need is listed by Pam once you book. We had the hot tub booked but it broke the day before we arrived with the frost. We were gutted but still got to use the sauna. I’d recommend that just to experience the cold water bucket outside. Just do it. The shower is really hot and a nice experience over looking the hills. The composting toilet is a composting toilet…get used to is. There are lots of nearby walks to explore.

absolutely loved my night in the yurt. very peaceful location. it was exactly what I was looking for. loved cooking my dinner on the stove, very cozy and warm too. toilet/shower facilities were ideal. I opted for the organic breakfast which went down a treat. I will be back in the near future.

De Black Isle Yurts liggen echt op een zeer mooie en bijzondere plek in de natuur. Met een prachtig uitzicht over de zee, de baai van Inverness, Fort George en de hele omgeving. Jenny is een zeer fijne host die meedenkt en behulpzaam is, een mooi aanbod heeft en de yurts en de algehele faciliteiten zeer stijlvol en mooi heeft vormgegeven. De yurts liggen op een goede afstand van elkaar waardoor er veel privacy is. Naar de douche is het even wat lopen, maar dat is geen straf in deze mooie omgeving Je kunt ook naar het strand lopen onderaan de klif in een korte wandeling waarbij je wat hoogtemeters maakt. Echt zeer de moeite waard!

Staying in the yurt in Torridon was amazing. The weather was perfect, and the wood-burning stove made the evenings so cosy. The surrounding Munros were the best I’ve ever climbed — dramatic, rewarding, and absolutely stunning. A truly unforgettable experience!

The yurt was exceptional! The uninterupted views and idealic location made it the perfect relaxing stay. The yurt was cosy and had everything you could wish for. We went for a lovely walk round the farm and enjoyed time away from a busy life. Loved every minute!

Kirsty, her mom and the support staff were charming, courteous, grounded and friendly. Our night was spent in nature, in a charming atmosphere, the bath was an added bonus, more so, NO tv, which allowed us to focus in connection and communication. What a charming setting and a wonderful host.

What an incredible place! We absolutely loved it. Went to see the puffins on Lunga and the south side of Ulva was totally magical. The yurt is absolutely perfecr and we can’t wait to come back. Thanks so much!!

Wish we could stay longer at Ruth's Yurt. It was so cosy and peaceful, exactly how she had described it and much more beautiful in person. How she managed to put it all together is a wonder. Ruth is such a lovely host and was very helpful in locating the Yurt which we'd be forever grateful for. We will definitely come back and stay longer.

If you love nature and the environment, this is the place for you. Not only is the yurt surrounded by beauty, but it's clear the owners care deeply about maintaining, improving, and respecting the land around them. They have a strong ethos for reducing waste, not "fixing what's not broken", and being resourceful. The result is a unique, charming, and also functional space. Would definitely stay again!
