Basic seaside cottage in Sedgefield

Basic seaside cottage on the waters edge with views over the lagoon. Walking distance from the lagoon mouth. A 2 minute walk to semi-private beach access directly from below the cottage. 15 minutes walk to town. Located in a Milkwood grove. Private deck with very good views over the lagoon. A large variety of bird-life due to forest and lagoon proximity. Unfortunately, the cottage is accessed via an uneven pathway through the grove so is not recommended for guest with special mobility needs.

Our spacious 45m2 apartment is situated in the heart of Thesen Harbour Town. We have a Solar System to supply power during outages. Excellent restaurants within minutes walking distance, the most famous being "Ile de Pain" situated across the road for breakfast and lunch. Knysna Waterfront is a mere 10 minute walk away along a most picturesque causeway surrounded by the lagoon from where one can view beautiful sunsets. We offer mountain bikes for the duration of your stay for a nominal fee.

The apartment is above our garage and we have the benefit of solar power. We're about 2-4km from shops and restaurants, beach and family-friendly activities like the famous Saturday morning markets. We offer good beds, peace and quiet, kayaking, (a 2man kayak available), natural surroundings central to the Garden Route, only a 20 minute drive to Knysna, which is half way to Plettenberg Bay. Also 15 minutes to Wilderness Village, 40 minutes to George airport and about an hour to Oudtshoorn

The house is very private but at the same time has quick access to restaurants, beaches, lagoon, canals etc. The property is open plan on the living area downstairs and has direct access to the canals via a private jetty and also has a large private pool. Sedgefield is located in the heart of the Garden Route near Knysna and George where an airport is located. You’ll love our place because of the views into the garden and the sounds of bird and frog song. There are views of the sea and Gericke's Point from the garden. We have back-up power in case of load shedding.
