Ferienunterkünfte mit Seezugang in Sligo

Wir haben uns super wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, hat eine tolle Lage, einen schönen Garten und war für uns genau richtig. Auf Nachfragen hat Conor immer sofort reagiert. Herzlichen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder!

The premise of our trip to Ireland this time, was to show our kids the beauty of the island and the area I grew up in , while also getting away from it all. We arrived to Knockvicar house after a week on the Wild Atlantic Way and it was an absolute pleasure from the first moment. The house is spacious and comfortable and so interesting. The gardens and surrounding area are just beautiful. Morning coffee @ the outdoor table was a real treat. It’s in a great location near to Carrick-on-Shannon, Boyle, Lough Key forest park and also the alpaca farm, of course. Restaurants and bars nearby. Our only regret is that we didn’t book for longer. Angela was the perfect hostess, helpful and informative and thoughtful. There is plenty of touristic information supplied at the house also. We had a wonderful stay.

Great stay, room options and bathrooms worked well for party of 12. Everything you would require for stay was available. Very peaceful and beautiful surroundings yet only 10 mins out of Bundoran

Liam is a great host. When I couldn't find his cottage, he came to meet me as I am not good at direction. Thank you so much for letting us stay at his place. Very beautiful and peaceful place to stay.

My family had a lovely stay in Martina’s house. It’s in a great location, clean with comfy beds. It was great for my young children. Thank you Martina.

Conor's house is just awesome. Loved staying there from the cosy sitting/TV room, to the bright open kitchen/dining areas and the wonderful bedrooms. The beds we used were super comfortable and the linen was high quality and felt so nice. Conor is an amazing host who is very kind. Not only did he meet, he also left some food for us - sausages, bacon, eggs, milk, bread etc. Just wonderful. His mum is also super nice. You need a car. There is only one place to eat - O'Dowds pub (100 metres approx. away) however only open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday from lunchtime to 6 pm. Ballaghadareen is about 15 mins away with more options.

Nuala was a gem to communicate with from day one. Our family was so comfortable in the place, the views were stunning, and she was there to meet us and show us how everything works. The beds are comfortable, there's enough sitting space for the family, and she even had board games available. It is walking distance to a small store, and a lovely cafe where locals made us feel so welcome and right at home. We would definitely atay here again if we find ourselves in this area. Highly recommended.

What a lovely relaxing location. House was clean, spotless and in amongst the Forest as described. Indoor Sauna in the cabin was a real treat. In a rural location but if you love the out doors as we do then this is the place for you. Paddy and Eithne were wonderful hosts and always on hand if we needed any advice. Lake about a 5 minute walk if you want to dip or do some watersports. Strandhill beach about a 40 minute drive and well wort the visit. Knock Shrine Co.Mayo also 40 minute drive. Lovely wee villages all around to explore. Would definitely recommend this wee retreat. Was great to get out of the rat race for 5 days. We hope to return some day. I really loved staying this place. It is super-cosy, rustic and quaint. If you're looking to get away from the noise of the city, this place is it. MK's ethos too is commendable. She believes that people should have to opportunity to travel anywhere, and not have to pay an arm and a leg in the process. When i told people how much money it was costing me to essentially have my own cottage in the countryside for 3 nights they were rightly flabbergasted. It was an absolute steal. Just to dispell any concerns, it is not the Hilton, but nore is it advertised as such. There is no tv, the wifi was not great, and because of where the cottage is located, the signal on your phone won't be ideal either. I reccomend bringing a book! The kitchen is fully loaded with pans and whatnot, but i could never figure out how to get the oven working. That's probably my own limitation rather than the oven's! MK mentions that staying here is basically like camping but inside. My interpretation of that is to think of it like a very large caravan that's not going anywhere 🤷🏻‍♂️ The take away point in all this is that if you want to stay here for a few nights, I highly recommend it. It is totally worth it. MK was very contactable. I slept like a log. I enjoyed my morning coffees watching the sunrise on the little hill. And most of all, I fell in love with the little kitty who lives here, and by proximity the beautiful county of Sligo. Im already looking forward to going back!🇮🇪

Myself and the two boys wanted an adventure somewhere away from the hustle of Dublin. This was the perfect place, so peaceful and tranquil. The cottage has so much character and so cosy and clean. The boys loved all the old fashioned decor and ornaments as did I. We loved the garden and jetty was so beautiful. We were only 20 mins from Carraick on Shannon. Lough Key adventure Forrest was great for us with lots to do as a family. We didn’t have enough time do to everything. We will definitely be back. The host were unbelievably helpful with everything. Really quick to respond and went above and beyond to try help get us fishing. 😀 Highly recommend with older kids and just a place to escape. You can have action or chilled time.

This place is truly special, both in its setting in a mature countryside meadow on a secluded peninsula in Lough Arrow, as well as in its conversion into a wide and open and full of light living space, with furnishing that are both practical and in harmony with the setting. Mir and Araceli are very welcoming and friendly hosts that are happy to advice on any subject, whether related to the listing or where to go. Due to its remoteness the place is very peaceful and tranquil, but a car is a must. We chose this place to find some peace and quiet in order to recover from a stressful period, and it far exceeded our expectations ― we will definitely be back.

A lovely home, suited our needs well and allowed for a perfect location to explore the northwest of Ireland and the Wild Atlantic Way. The nearby Garden Center and lunch spot are highly recommended and within a 5 min walk from the property. Brian sent along wonderful recommendations for activities, restaurants and shops. Excellent communication and quick responses to any query we had. Highly recommended Brian's home!

Das Cottage war ein Traum! Es war alles da, was wir brauchten und die Lage direkt neben der Pferdekoppel und dem See so entspannend und idyllisch. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Karen is a excellent host , the cottage was beautifully, had everything you need, beautifully location looking over the lake, home from home. Just wished we could have stayed longer
