Ana's home was so beautiful! We had such a great stay and really enjoyed the amenities and the area. You really get what you pay for and it was better than the photos! I'll definitely recommend to others going to Tulum!

We cannot say enough positive things about Rancho San Eric, Hui & Stefan, and their staff! The space was more beautiful than described or what can be shown in photos. The studio was also spacious and very private. The property is very quiet, but close to restaurants, bars, etc. With a 1yr old it met all of our needs as far as relaxed family time, and also getting out and enjoying great meals, drinks and activities. Hui & Stefan accommodated multiple special requests, and were just so warm and sincere in making our stay special. The studio was incredibly clean and well appointed, steps from the beach! Literal steps, with chairs and shade for the studio guests only. We loved it, and will be grateful to go back!

Jorge was very responsive if we had any questions. The condo was very clean and provided everything we needed. If you have a longer stay the washing machine is a definite plus.

Edna was very helpful and responsive to all of our requests and needs. And was great with connecting us with local drivers and other services. The location was outstanding. We got a lot of use out the large terrace and pool area with comfortable seating areas and stunning views.

El alojamiento es precioso y muy cómodo, tanto el departamento como los espacios de uso común. Las vistas también. La playa fue difícil de disfrutar por las rocas y el sargazo, pero está cerca del coral lo que permite hacer snorkel y ver muchos peces. Hay que tener en cuenta que la ubicación es muy alejada del centro y otras zonas turísiticas, por lo que sí o sí es necesario un automóvil para realizar actividades fuera del alojamiento (salvo un cenote que queda cerca y se puede ir caminando). De todas formas eso estuvo aclarado desde el primer momento, lo que nos permitió preverlo y por eso fuimos en dos autos, por lo que no tuvimos ningún inconveniente para visitar otros puntos de Tulum. Hermosa experiencia.

Once we got settled and understood how to get throught the various security gates, we really enjoyed the condo and the pool area. We did pilates and / or yoga at the studio each day just a short walk from our gated community whcih was so great and it's only a 10 minute drive to the beach where we were able to park for free and set up on the beach. The kichen in the condo is very well equiped and we cooked full meals everyday.

Great place and location! Was super easy to navigate to and from, right next to stores, restaurants, and markets, and was in a nicely managed part of Tulum. The place was super clean and comfortable (we especially liked the motion sensored light and the beds), and exactly what was pictured. The added bonus of Rachel's and Jungle Luxe's guide to Tulum and recommendations were super helpful, as well!

The host is always very responsive, villa is nice with 3 rooms with own bathroom, so perfect to stay with 3 couples. Beach is close by, but Akumal lagoon is more beautiful to swim with turtles.

What a wonderful week we just spent at Balam Ek! We truly did not want to leave. The house is centrally located in Akumal, within easy walking distance of La Buena Vida, a small convenience store, La Lunita, and the Jungle Cafe. Everything was sparkling clean and well-maintained by Leticia and Roberto, and the rooms were comfortable. The views were unbeatable, and the house was well-equipped with towels and kitchen equipment. Sun rises were especially beautiful here! If you want a sandy beach, this is not the house for you. We don’t mind an iron shore, and we swam in the ocean daily right in front of the house. Just make sure you bring water shoes because the volcanic rock is too sharp for bare feet. We would not hesitate to stay at Balam Ek again. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful week at Mataray Tulum. The place is beautiful and peaceful and having the private beach made all the difference. But importantly, the staff were incredible. So accommodating and friendly, and always offering advice on where to go for dinner or excursions. There was never a tie that we didn't feel taken care of. The accommodation was amazing. The beds were amazingly comfortable, and my husband and son had great fun in the evening playing pool upstairs. The balance of having your own accommodation, but being connected to a hotel if you want food or drinks was a great combo! We will definitely come for another visit.

We had a wonderful stay in Akumal. We were a group of 5 adults and 3 kids (infant, 3,6) and the place was well set up for our group. The beach was beautiful and so accessible right out the back door, the pool was perfect for the kids, and the outdoor space was so comfortable and inviting. The neighborhood was peaceful and relaxed. There was a portable crib available for the baby. We had chef Carlos come for a few breakfasts and dinners and the food was amazing-such a treat. We visited Akumal Natura Rescue, the Tulum ruins, and Yax-kin cenote, all wonderful and close by. Would highly recommend this place.

Our stay in Tulum was absolutely perfect, thanks to this amazing property and Florencio’s exceptional hospitality! The pool and hot tub were highlights; beautifully maintained and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Florencio went above and beyond, ensuring every need was met with warmth and efficiency. The place was spotless, stylish, and had everything we needed for an unforgettable trip. Highly recommend this gem in Tulum!

This is a cute, little jungle hideaway that gives you the sense of privacy and serenity. The house was cute and as pictured in the description. We thoroughly enjoyed that every bedroom was attached to a full bathroom. My favorite was the rough top and it was so lovely at night. The binder that they prepared about the house, attraction and Tulum was extremely helpful. The concierge helped planned our trip and gather things for me as it was my mother's birthday trip. If any little things came up about the house, their response was quick and solved any little issues (which weren't many). The location was in a great spot with cute cafes, restaurants and markets. Would recommend and would stay again.

This trip was a home run! We could not have been happier with our choice. We were a group of seven adults. The connection the water was incredible from the back deck, living room and third floor. Just breathtaking. Plus the furnishings were perfect for indoor/outdoor living, and the interior design impressed everyone. A few reasonable restaurants nearby, and very short ride to Akumal beach to swim with turtles. Finally, the service/communication from the host was fantastic. Really helpful and responsive. We knew that it wasn’t easy to swim in the sea because of rocky shore line, though we did see people in the water nearby. We travel all over the world and definitely recommend this place.

We stayed here as a family reunion - three kids (6,4,1) and four adults. It was excellent! Felt very safe since it's inside the resort but you could walk around and with paying for passes at Casa Club, you could easily access the resorts (our favorite was Tulum because of the water park for kids plus beach). We loved the ability to jump between doing a resort day and all of the other amazing activities around like Xel Ha, Aktun Chen, the gorgeous Kay Beach resort etc. The best was for all us to be able to all stay in the same house, hang out in the living room. Host was very communicative. The instructions need updating, as I don't believe there is an actual key anymore, only the keypad. But we figured it out pretty easily and everything worked perfectly. Enjoy!!

We travel often and have stayed in some incredible places—from all-inclusive resorts in Mexico to luxury rentals in Europe. But La Joya #5 stands out as our favorite Airbnb to date. The view is stunning, visible from nearly every room, and the peaceful town of Akumal offers the perfect balance of safety, relaxation, and charm. The condo is beautifully decorated, well-stocked, and incredibly comfortable—ideal for couples or families. Our host, Julie, was responsive and thoughtful, and the on-site staff made everything easy, from golf cart rentals to daily housekeeping (which was such a great bonus!). We loved the flexibility of having our own space while still being close to great restaurants, the beach, and a pool. We’ll absolutely be back—this place is a gem.

This was a vacation 16 years in the making and we wanted it to be special. Three generations of our family would be traveling together and we need the accommodations to be better than good. We needed them to be remarkable. You read the descriptions and see the photos when deciding on a place to stay, and sometimes they are accurate enough. Jaclyn's photos and description of the property did not do it justice. The condo, the property, and the staff were so far beyond our expectations, I can't even begin to say enough. I don't think we've ever stayed anywhere in our years of traveling that I would make the comment that the gardens and the view alone were enough to warrant a 5-star review. All said, the condo was light, spacious, and comfortable. The decor was beautiful and displayed the talents of the local people. Everything you could need is provided. We'll never forget our stay at Jaclyn's little slice of paradise on the Riviera Maya. Hopefully we'll return again soon!

El alojamiento tiene todo lo que se necesita para unas buenas vacaciones, si te gusta el golf, es el lugar perfecto. es recomendable tener un vehículo para major comodidad. pero el barrio cuenta con movilidad para poder ir hasta la playa. la piscina siempre limpia. Restaurant, y bares del hotel del complejo con precios diferenciados por estar alojados. Recomendable 100%. única sugerencia que haría ( para los que nos gusta dormir hasta tarde) es poner una cortinas más obscura en las ventana de los dormitorios. Todo perfecto, ubicación, seguridad, limpieza, atención de los anfitriones. Saludos pronto volveremos.

Notre séjour à Akumal est mémorable. Ici on se sent vraiment à la maison. L’emplacement est parfait et directement sur la plage et près de tout pour un séjour confortable, tranquille et simple. Les hôtes sont TRÈS soutenants et accommodants. Ils répondent toujours vites à toutes nos questions sur la vie locale. Ils nous ont permis de laissé notre voiture une nuit gratuitement dans le stationnement alors que nous sommes partis en expédition.

El apartamento está súper limpio y en buenas condiciones, Fernando atendió todas nuestras dudas y nos ayudó muchísimo al momento de checkin y checkout, las instalaciones generales también espectaculares. Lo recomiendo muchísimo!

Sami was very responsive to questions and helped out with our groups stay. First time for some of us in the area so was nice to have the help.

We had a great stay. Our kids, aged 6 & 9, enjoyed the pools on property, with at least 4 pool options. The gym was equipped w/ dumbbells up to 30 lbs, one bench, 3 treadmills, elliptical, and 2 stationary bikes. We met friendly residents & other Airbnb guests. The balconies were pleasant, though windy during our stay, and the property’s seclusion ensured a quiet environment. Instead of using the nearby public beach, we drove our rental car to Akumal Beach for its restaurants & amenities. Inside the Airbnb, there were limited outlets for devices, and the AC remote in the main room malfunctioned, leaving the main room cold. We resolved this by resetting the mini-split AC unit via a YouTube tutorial. The host’s average response time was 3 hours which may be longer for some. Designated parking required a longer walk to front door, and utensils were limited for our family of 5. An unannounced visit by staff to check the water meter occurred. Despite these issues, the cost was reasonable.

We absolutely fell in love with this space, and Akumal. The jungle setting and view was stunning. We enjoyed walking across the street to the beach, playing in the waves and searching the tide pools for treasures and creatures. The kids loved the pool time, (all the pools). Casey thought of absolutely everything one would need to make a relaxing fun vacation with a well stocked and fully equipped condo. From beach chairs, and water socks, to snorkel gear. My personal favorite was the coffee bar and well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed making meals and grilling out in the common area while the kids enjoyed more pool time. Lastly, beds and linens. Absolute heaven. I’m going to be thinking about that bed for a long time. Thank you Casey for helping make our family vacation memorable and all your fantastic suggestions.
