The place was perfect for our winter family vacation. The home was as described in a beautiful setting with a great view. If staying in the winter months having a vehicle with at least all wheel drive is helpful, as this is Vermont. The home is out of the way, but easy driving distance to ski and explore the nearby towns.

The Mendon Cottage is clean, cozy and private. It’s just a 15 minute drive to Killington base, even in a fairly decent snow storm. There are trails behind the property that offered some good hiking for our doggo (they’re made for snowmobiles, but we didn’t spot one during our stay). The property delivers on its main promise: a less pricey alternative to staying at Killington, with very little inconvenience for the ski bums. Unless you simply can’t live without the ability to take the shuttle and ski off the mountain to your rental, you really can’t go wrong with this property. (It snowed our entire stay and the private road and driveway were plowed repeatedly and always navigable.)

This 2 story townhouse in Stowe Village was the perfect home base for our visit, offering both comfort and convenience. Located just steps from shops and restaurants, we loved being able to explore the charming village without needing to drive. The townhouse itself has a well-equipped kitchen that made meal preparation a breeze, along with a spacious dining and living area that provided plenty of room. The layout was ideal for gathering, whether enjoying a home-cooked meal or simply unwinding in the cozy living space. Communicating with Kim was very easy and she was super to work with. The home has comfortable mattresses & bedding ensuring restful nights. The townhouse was clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed. The combination of its prime location, welcoming ambiance, and thoughtful amenities made for a truly enjoyable experience. We highly recommend this townhouse to anyone visiting Stowe VT.

If you are looking for an idyllic lake house experience, this is it! We could have spent our entire trip just sitting on the porches—upstairs, downstairs, one screened-in porch, and the lovely dock. We used the kayaks and the paddle boat multiple times. The house was perfect for us because we are a close family of three, but if you need privacy from other guests, this wouldn’t be the ideal house as one bedroom opens into the other. The beds are soft and comfortable as is the sofa. Paula and Tim were extremely responsive and helpful. We would absolutely return to this house. It was difficult to leave the gorgeous leaves.

Barbara was a wonderful host. The space was perfect for the four of us over the holiday break. Our kids especially enjoyed the game room and took advantage of the puzzles. Cozy home with great views and privacy.

Nice clean place to stay and excellent communication from the hosts. The property matches what's described. We were skiing all day and was a good spot to crash. It was bit further from Killington than we wanted, but that was clear up front!

Was very happy with the stay. Check in was super easy. Location is great, halfway between Stowe center and the mountain resort Also very close to Von Trapp and a short 15 minute drive into Waterbury.

We had a lovely weekend in Megan’s home. The space was adequate for our family of 6. The home is in a quiet neighborhood that’s a short drive to Okemo so it was perfect for our ski weekend.

We stayed here while visiting family in Hanover forThanksgiving. A spacious house nestled within an amazing wooded area. We had the pleasure of waking up to all the trees covered in fresh snow. All the more perfect because the house has huge windows lots of natural light. Highly recommend.
