This cozy cottage has been totally renovated and designed for your comfort and enjoyment. We have addressed every detail to make your stay a memorable one. The cottage is a perfect country retreat. You will enjoy nature, being surrounded by trees, birds, wildlife and a beautiful sunrise. We are located just 2 miles from downtown Palestine and 3 miles to the Texas State Railroad yet in a country setting behind a security gate with your private code. Canton 1st Monday trade days is 1 hour away

The Hygge House - Respite in the forest

Escape into nature and experience the warm embrace of hygge (HYOO-gah) - a Danish word that describes a deep feeling of well-being. Nestled in a tranquil natural setting, our home is a sanctuary for slow living, rest, and fostering connection. The soft furnishings and natural light make this the perfect place to savor some of the simple pleasures of life - fresh baked cookies, a nap in our oversized deck hammock and meaningful conversation. Lake House Cottage

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway! Enjoy swimming off the back deck, the ambiance of sitting on the many decks enjoying the beauty of the lake or just relaxing to watch the sunset. If the weather is cooler you may want to enjoy sitting around the gas firepit on the deck or the wood burning fireplace in the Sunroom! The one bedroom has a queen size bed and in the den a pull out sofa bed for two. Less than 10 minutes to downtown for all you shopping and great restaurants too!

Enchanted Forest Retreat: “The Beach House”

The “Beach” House backs to 17 acres of secluded forest. Walking trails, creek, yard games, and above ground pool. Friendly chickens and small pups on property. Near the Neches Wildlife Refuge and River Run. Groomed acre of wide open dog/child/adult play and event space. 3 tiny homes on property each with separate patio, deck, fire pit, outdoor grill/dining space. Minimum of 2 parking spots per house with lots of room for adjustments for trailers/trucks/atv’s. Can always book both tiny Houses!

Dogwood Cabin on Scenic Wooded Mossbridge Farm

Our two cabins Dogwood and Holly are located on a quiet, wooded 10 acre retreat that is 8 miles from Athens. Our special feature is a spring fed creek that flows year round and has it's own micro climate that is perfect for native ferns, mixed hardwood forest and dogwoods. We have provided a nature trail for bird watching and exercise. Recently we designed and constructed a beautiful pond with three waterfalls and a deck overhanging the water with chairs for enjoying our private paradise.

Cardinal Cove, elevated deck/Florida bass fishing

Kick back and relax in this calm, family friendly space whether it’s for fun or work. You will discover a new experience…fresh air, a beautiful hardwood forest, a small private lake, so quiet and peaceful with wildlife surrounding you, and of course, cardinals! You will be inside a gated community with private parking, a campfire area and a canoe. You may fish in the lake in front of the guest house, but it is strictly “catch and release”. Newly constructed. Now ready for guests!

Hidden Gem Cottages: Sapphire Cottage

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The house has a king bed in the master with attached bath, a secondary bedroom with 2 queens, an additional hall bath and queen sleeper sofa in the living room. It sits on a stocked pond with a fishing pier. You will have access to fish and relax at our catch and release pond. The outdoor space also includes a patio with gas grill, large front porch overlooking the pond, covered back porch overlooking woods and a fire pit.

Twin Oaks Ranch

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Fishing is permitted in the ponds. The ponds are stocked with a dock. Enjoy a walk through the forest trails. Clean and newly renovated guest house. A fully equipped kitchen is provided with all the necessary utensils. The bedroom has a king-size bed. Two couches can be pulled out to create two additional beds. We welcome dogs. There is a fenced yard for dogs and a doggy door. 15 minutes to town. There is no fire pit or grill.

The Cottage at Hidden Creek w/ Hot Tub and Firepit

Quaint cottage nestled among three acres of towering trees. Featuring a large, newly updated kitchen, spacious bedroom, and lots of outdoor living space including a hot tub and fire pit. This cabin in the woods offers the seclusion and East Texas beauty you seek, yet is just minutes away from numerous restaurants and attractions with easy access to Interstate 20 and Toll 49. Retreat to the large deck and gaze at the stars, or grab a blanket and enjoy s’mores by the fire.

You will enjoy the master bedroom with its own fireplace and private bath. Nice spacious second bedroom. All new appliances in the updated kitchen. Relaxing Treehouse Getaway

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. This tree house is sitting on stilts among trees where a beautiful oak tree comes through the elevated outside dining patio area. The tree house is located on our 15 acres of wooded property with approx. 1 mile in walking trails in the woods on the property for exploring and observing wildlife. Our guests frequently notice our deer and other woodland creatures who share this space with us.
