If you're seeking to escape the chaos of every day life, I highly recommend the Love Shack! It's a remote, cozy cabin with magical views. Just be prepared for off-grid living—no electricity or cell service, but the propane heater keeps it warm, the bed is comfy, and there were tons of books, maps + resources for UP exploring. The kitchen has some essentials, but you'll need to bring your own cookware. You'll find well water, a clean + stocked outhouse, and a lovely sauna with stunning lake views. The hosts are exceptional; Maggie went above and beyond to ensure I felt at ease during my first solo off-grid trip. She responded promptly to any questions I had and never missed a detail. Overall, it was a memorable and restorative retreat from the world.

We love to travel and Wanderloft did not disappoint. The thoughtful approach of the place is without question superb. We appreciated so many aspects of our stay. I will likely forget or inadvertently leave out things I am sure. From the live plants, the style, and quality of furnishings it was perfect. What we loved more than anything were the firsts we shared; our first visit to the Northwoods, listening to records on the record player, making our first pour over coffee, watching the stars from the Murphy bed and the staples and odds and ends you sometimes forget like seasonings, coffee etc. Of all the hotels, inns, homes and cabins we have rented Wanderloft is top tier. We walked in and didn’t leave the property until checkout because it was exactly the peace, happiness and serenity we sought. Thank you!

Beautiful cabin right on the water. You can hear the waves from the front door. Easy to warm when you go during colder months (would recommend). Well stocked. And the walk down to the beach was easy and clear. Host was amazing. Made sure the space and path was as cleared as possible since we got in during cold/winter weather. Also Tom brought us pans when we needed some, which was thoughtful. Lots of beautiful trails and waterfalls nearby. Would absolutely recommend.

Scenic cabin stay ! Cabin was as written. Sauna was enjoyable just remember it takes around an hr to get the temps right. Kitchen had some spices and all the amenities we needed. Large deck in back , great place to watch the sunrise! Please note the driveway is dirt so depending on weather it could be rutted and muddy.

We had a wonderful 3 days at this cabin!!! The surroundings are stunning and the view of the lake from the cabin’s windows is just gorgeous. Very nicely decorated and comfortable… also the bed was super comfy! Cooked all of our meals on the grill which has a side burner, and the cozy kitchen is great! We LOVED the off the grid experience and this one is done right. An unforgettable experience, thank you James for everything!!

We had an amazing weekend getaway as a family! The pull out couch was perfect for two little boys and the bed in the room was very comfortable! Even with the massive amounts of snow the beach was beautiful and there were so many rocks to check out. 3 minutes down the road was a beautiful lighthouse and a long stretch of beach for when the boys needed to run it out. Plenty of hiking trails around the area and just under an hour to the falls which we love! Stephanie was such a delight everytime I had any questions. She responded quickly to everything and I could just sense that she had such love for her space and loved to share it with others. I’ve never felt like a host was so genuine and I wasn’t just receiving automated messages. Lastly, delicious pizza spot 10 minutes down the road, we had pizza 2/3 nights we stayed here. This cabin was such a treat even in the off season.

If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing get away Brandi’s place is a perfect spot. The accommodation were clean and you could see and feel the personal touches. We will definitely be back!
