A brand-new house, has everything to live comfortably and prepare meals. The office deck was great to use as a base for work. We would stay again if we could.

The house was immaculate. It was clean, lots of photos of their family, well maintained, and the host was very nice. Because we booked uring easter, there were little easter treats that we found the next day. Their cat Henry is the most friendliest cat we've ever seen and he's gorgeous too. They've got a beautiful house and it's very well maintained. Host was super considerate and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here!!!

Really cozy place in a quiet neighbourhood. Quite close to the beach and the center town to Whangarei is an easy 20min drive. Love that we were able to find a place that is friendly for pets!

Vern and Karen are so friendly. This was one of the best places we stayed at during our trip. Very accommodating hosts. The kitchen is really small/very little counter space but I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Thank you for the warm stay, it was in a quiet and beautiful location..the bed was comfy and the unit was pristine clean..condiments and a small range of breakfast was provided along with choccy treats, juice and milk which I found a bonus compared to other bnbs I have stayed at !! Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful stay at a lovely, private and well thought out space. Private but also felt spacious and relaxing to spend time in. Our hosts made us feel welcome at all times, were responsive to questions and seemed to really enjoy sharing their home. I especially loved the extra touches of snacks, delicious home made muesli and yoghurt in the fridge. My mum and I loved our stay and will be back!

Shirley’s place was awesome definitely worth while a visit whether it be for business or leisure. Shirley has the kitchen stocked with breakfast and snacks. I will definitely return when I’m up north next.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the apartment. It was clean and comfortable and right by the beach. There’s lots to do in the area and it was ideal for us. I would recommend.

A wonderful place to stay, high recommend!! The bed is so comfortable. Location is far away from town to have peace but close enough for convenience to good restaurants, cafes, supermarket etc.

Outstanding in every way! What could we possibly say that hasn’t been said by others—Ross and Penny were so friendly and welcoming. Their house is beautiful and in such a gorgeous area. We felt fortunate to stay with them and conversing felt like talking with old friends. Breakfast was great, as was the local recommendations.

Robyn is a welcoming and caring host and her home is cosy, clean and set amongst flowers and a peaceful neighbourhood. Special thanks for the comfortable mattress and toasts with grapefruit marmalade. Highly recommend and would happily return again.

We were after a place for some rest and relaxation and we found the Mangawhai lodge to be just that. Although it rained the 3 days we were there the room, the view felt super cosy. We spent quite some time reading, watching tv or just listening to the rain. The veranda overlooking the waterways was perfect. Jeanette was friendly and very accommodating. Thank you for hosting us.

We stayed with Al and Murray for 5 nights and they were just absolutely lovely. We were not there as tourists but to sort out a personal storage unit after losing our sailing boat in the pandemic. Al and Murray provided a home from home for us during this difficult week. The spa is fabulous and extremely relaxing. The pool is spotless. The room is comfy, spacious and airy and the bathroom / shower huge, pristine and well-appointed. We could use the kitchen as needed and the breakfast was excellent. If I could give these guys 6 stars I would. Thank you and we hope to see you in Europe one day.

Wij hadden een fantastisch verblijf in de lodge van Victoria and Damian! Na een aantal weken in een campervan te hebben gereisd waren we toe aan rust, een fijn bed en comfort. Dit vonden we allemaal in deze lodge. Fijne faciliteiten, alles ziet er superschoon en mooi ingericht uit, en het is een hele rustige omgeving met een mooi uitzicht. Ontzettend bedankt Victoria en Damian!

Great spot for a night away. The room was very clean and had great amenities. Very nice and peaceful. The spa was an added bonus too.

Beautiful place to stay! I was taking the Pouto boat the next day, the location is perfect. Very comfy bed, nice shower, great breakfast (Chris accommodated my early breakfast request), cute puppies! Roxanne was responsive to my messages and Chris was always helpful during my stay. Thank you both!
