I recently stayed at the dog on the hill that exceeded all my expectations. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. Their friendly dogs were a delightful bonus, adding to the homely atmosphere with their playful and affectionate nature. The view from the homestay was nothing short of breathtaking. Waking up to stunning landscapes was a highlight of my stay. The environment was serene and picturesque, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One of the best parts of my experience was the opportunity to make new friends. I met some truly wonderful people during my stay. The combination of a great host, friendly dogs, beautiful views, and new friendships made this homestay an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

Beautiful room with an outstanding view. Hike to Triund or Bhagsur waterfall. Good wifi and kitchen amenities.

Visited the place for a second time and it was as beautiful and peaceful as I remembered. The staff is pretty proactive and helpful, they even helped us with recommendations on what all places can be explored nearby along with new trails we could discover for walks. Will definitely be coming back here again and again.

The 4 tables cafe is a great place to stay for short or extended stays. It's super clean, cute and comfortable. Suman and Sakhina didi are very hospitable. The owner's son - Alok spends alot of time there and is very helpful. The location is also spot on. Don't forget to checkout the Gunehr Waterfall.

La Maison is a gem of a place located in Chougan, Bir. I'm actually not sure where to start from as it all just culminated into something great but here goes..... Location- Super! If you walk from the Tibetan Market bus stop, it takes about 20 mins and it takes you via winding lanes, beautiful views and cute cafes where you can stop for a quick coffee or whatever you fancy. By taxi, it takes less than 5 mins and the charge is about 150 one way. Check in and check out- Super smooth. Early check in is not a possibility and honestly, it does not matter as the rooms are made ready while you sit down to breakfast or freshen yourself in the guest washroom. Lounge around reading or go for a walk while they get you settled. Check in is very fast and all you need to do is give you ID proof and done! The house- In the middle of nature with stunning views of the mountains and paragliders in the sky the entire day- what else would you want? It is silent and tranquil. The interiors are cosy and exactly how they are shown in the various sites. There are lots of spaces to lounge around in, books in plenty and soothing music that plays in the drawing room the entire day. The house provides privacy along with interaction in a very balanced way- Kudos to Ranjeet and Priti for this achievement! :) Food- The best part of my stay! It is AMAZING! All home cooked, vegetarian and wholesome. There's just something very satisfying about the food and the way it is served. The dining table used to be a hub of conversation amongst the travellers and the hosts- all seeming like a family meal where you hang around even after the food is done with haha! I honestly would not mind eating all my meals here the next time I visit :) The hosts- More said is less about Priti and Ranjeet! They have built a haven for travellers where you feel peaceful and happy and all things nice. Their son Daksh adds to the activity around and the residential pet, Buddy is very amusing :) Special mention for the house help Lucky, who goes around with a smile and nod and makes your life very easy. Will I be back? OF COURSE! Do I recommend this place? With all my heart :) Is this suitable for a long term stay/ workation? Absolutely!

Liat's stay is towards old manali, about 500m from after crossing the old manali bridge. There are a few stairs that go up from the road to the property. The hosts are very responsive on phone, and helped us get warm and dry when we reached since it was snowing and raining heavily. The place has a few good eateries along the road leading to it, and the hosts offer to prepare basic meals for you if you let them know in advance. Rooms are clean and spacious and a heater is provided for an extra charge, which could be included in the room tariff during peak winters. Mall road is 20 minutes by walk, and there are a lot of rustic cafes in old manali at around 700-800m distance. Overall our stay was very good and the communication from the hosts was impeccable. The view from the property is very beautiful!

The food was incredible, with every meal feeling like it was made with love. The staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help, and the host was just amazing — thoughtful, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. The entire property was spotless — spot-clean and pristine — and everything about the space felt luxurious. The amenities were all top-notch, and every detail was thoughtfully considered. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful, pampered getaway in the mountains. Can’t wait to return!
