Jurten als Ferienunterkünfte in Dorset

We wanted a place where our family could connect, the children could experience a different way of life (we’re townies!) and our lungs could fill with fresh air. Moonacre Yurt hit the spot!! Surrounded by chickens, cows and Mother Nature, we soaked up as much of the atmosphere and Dide’s knowledge as possible. What a wonderful host, encouraging the kids to collect fresh eggs and talking to them about biodynamic farming, such a pleasure! Not a place for those of you wanting creature comforts (compost toilet, walk outside the yurt to get to bathroom and kitchen) but oh so wonderful for a snippet of the good life...

Despite the weather taking a turn and it being incredibly wet most the weekend, we throughly enjoyed our stay at the yurt. The yurt itself is very cosy. We bought our projector and screen so we could snuggle up and watch some films with the wood burner going, and the sound of the rain just made it that bit cosier. We loved the hot tub, though we only used it one of the nights we stayed. The farm shop on site is such a fabulous perk of staying here, we grabbed some nice beers/posh vodka, and snacks and nibbly bits, and we popped in and checked out the vintage/antique shop too. Being so close to the farm animals was also really sweet and we both loved the pig. Overall we made the most of our stay and had a really lovely time.

Our whole group had a fantastic weekend away at this beautiful spot. The rain didn't dampen our spirits as the facilities were perfect. The gorgeous yurt made a wonderful communal space & the firepit provided a magical outside spot. The tents were very comfortable & had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this private getaway & could not fault it. 10 out of 10!!

Had an absolutely lovely couple of nights at the site for New Year's. The site was peaceful and in a beautiful location. The yurt was amazing, excellent wood burner, lovely furnishings and the heated sheets were great too. Nick was very welcoming and helpful (we didnt get the chance to meet Molly), lovely chap and we made use of the table tennis and i braved a dip in the lake, which was great! Close proximity to several pubs and plenty of food options in Bridport itself too, as well as many amazing areas to visit on the Jurassic Coast. We will happily be back at some point, this has been one of the best Airbnb visits ive had, so would highly recommend to anyone thinking of going!

Our stay in the Empty Tin yurt was utterly glorious. The bed was huge and comfy and warm. There were fresh flowers in the yurt, the compost loo’s and the kitchen. The wood burner kept us toasty in the colder evenings and having a little kitchen near by that was fully stocked with all we needed and also had electric for charging was really valuable. The best thing was probably the pond (yes we did swim in it) and the view of the tor. We walked to Glastonbury and back (about an hour and a half each way) and felt really amongst all the loveliness of the Somerset levels, we saw murmurations of starlings and herons during the day and enjoyed sitting out under the stars with a fire at night. We would definitely return. Thanks Sarah and Finn!

What a place this is. I always spend a while on air b&b trying to find somewhere good to stay at a reasonable price…. This surpasses that! The yurts are way bigger than expected, the communal area is awesome and has everything you need, shower room is great. The kids absolutely loved every minute of it, we had some real, money can’t buy quality family time. (Amazing what 2 days of no screens can do!) We will , 110% be back for a longer stay again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Absolutely stunning cabin, everything was well designed and considered, rustic but with all the added touches to make it feel luxurious at the same time. The hot tub was great, took a long time to heat on the first day but quickly warmed when we used it subsequently. The setting was stunning, with views of the forest from the cabin and beautiful walks on your doorstep. Wareham was a short drive away as were the many amazing places to visit around the area, although to be honest, the cabin was so lovely and relaxing that I could have spent our whole stay there. The added bonus of having a sauna on site topped it for us, with lovely forest views and the coldest plunge pool. Robbie and Rachel were amazing hosts, informative, generous, warm and friendly but unobtrusive. Everything was just perfect, we can't wait to go back.

A very memorable stay, Amanda's listing has beautiful photos but they don't do the place justice! A wonderful way to have a truly relaxing, off grid experience but we were by no means slumming it! Amanda and Tom have kitted out the yurt and accompanying cabin with everything you could possibly need and more. The bed was extremely comfy and we were toasty warm despite it being well into October.

Extremely beautiful and peaceful spot, very private, brilliantly equipped to be comfortable but also in keeping with its natural surroundings and nature. Lovely, responsive hosts. Worth every penny for a restorative break in idyllic countryside.

What a wonderful place!! absolutely stunning, each area is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. the yurt and beds very comfy with electric blankets. kitchen area with table and shower, outdoor bath and sauna perfect!! under shelter fire, hammocks and seating area all wonderful. connected with nature and left feeling refreshed. highly recommed staying here!!! We had such a lovely stay in the yurt at Botswicky Copse. Emma and Vidar were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The yurt itself was cosy and beautifully traditional – a perfect escape surrounded by breathtaking countryside. Emma kindly recommended the AllTrails app, which made exploring the area even more enjoyable. We walked into Bishopstone for breakfast, lunch, and dinner – The Royal Oak was a standout and definitely worth a visit. Everyone we met locally was so friendly, adding to the charm of the stay. A little tip: we recommend visiting when the weather is warmer, as the yurt can get quite chilly at night if the log burner isn’t regularly topped up. But overall, a peaceful and memorable getaway – highly recommended!

This is glamping at it’s best. All the benefits of getting away from it all and back to basics in the countryside, with the luxury of home comforts in a beautiful private peaceful setting. Sam & Rich had thought of everything to make it a wonderful stay. The biscuits and cider on arrival was a lovely welcome. There’s so much to do on the doorstep; walking, beach days and great food. We hope to come back in the future.

The Stargazing Yurt was such a magical stay ✨ We had the best weekend with the fire going, lovely hot baths and just a truly relaxing time. The area is beautiful and you wake up to the sight of the Sea. Wonderful walks near by, pubs and a local shop. It couldn’t have been better. We all said we would stay here again 💚 A real Island gem. An amazing place to stay. James was very proactive and made sure we had everything needed. It was a nice touch to have a bottle of fresh milk and orange juice in the fridge. The yurt has got everything you need for a break away. The beds are very comfy, the bathroom on the side is clean and the shower is nicely hot (you really do need it when the weather fails you!). The surroundings are to kill for. I was waking up to a sunset with deers running around. Can’t ask for anything else with my morning coffee 😊 Kids and I are already planning another weekend away at the yurt.

We had a wonderful stay , staying in the yurt. Our stay was just beautiful. Our two children even shred a tear when it was time to leave. The outside play area outside the yurt was amazing, we could see the children playing from our accommodation and it felt so safe to let them wonder around in nature. There is so much to do in the area also ! Our yurt had everything you need and more. lovely and helpful hosts and we look foward to staying again. 😀

This is the second time we’ve stayed at the yurt. It’s such a lovely experience and there’s everything you need. Was wonderful to come in the spring as you can cook and eat outside to the sound of birdsong. Highly recommend.

Yurt was great, nocturnal activity from other guests in nearby tent at 2:00 AM was not 😂 I’m not sure I’ve ever heard a man make those type of noises before and there was some loud music from a nearby yurt too. Just some feedback, a lot of people like us have little ones, so it could be kept a bit more quiet after 10:30PM. Other than that, lovely place, staff, yurt felt so cozy, recommended and will come back! Thank you.

We had the best time at Tim's place! The location exceeded our expectations, it was so peaceful with loads to do and we even saw the resident deer a couple of times. We had a hammock, swings for the kids, a badminton court, firepit area with loads of wood. But make sure you are up for a steep walk to and from the car park as not suited for people with any knee or ankle issues. The yurt was spectacular too with everything you would expect and the furnishings are beautiful 🐝! Thank you Tim for a lovely stay!

The place is so nice especially with nature lovers, secure and we have a privacy. Angus is approachable, quick to response with our messages. We really enjoyed staying in Angus place. We were thankful for extra bonus the 5 free range eggs.

We had a lovely stay over East at the yurt, our 3 girls enjoyed roaming the grounds. Emma and Hugh were super accommodating and provided an early check in as we were in town earlier than expected, thank you for a lovely stay!

Wow!!! What a stay! My partner and I stayed here for the night as part of his birthday weekend. It excelled our expectations and was just so fun! Connected us with nature whilst also being fully comfortable. We got to meet some lovely dogs which was 10/10, and Marie herself came up to greet us which was so kind. A lovely host, very responsive and even left some lovely treats in the pod for us. Thanks so much! We’d love to come back again!

Rob and Amanda are very friendly and helpful hosts. The walled garden was very well equipped and presented. They provide everything you need. They are also very responsive. I have a nervous dog and this setting was perfect for her. Rob and Amanda were very accommodating and we highly recommend their lovely garden.
