Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make you trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". We hope that a stay at the Temple will deliver this experience and stay true to this vision.

We are situated minutes from the centre of town which includes local amenities such as fish and chips , restaurants, ice cream shops, bakery, butcher , fish monger & supermarket. We are 3 minutes from the beautiful sandy beach with coastal walks, local golf course and the working harbour where you can have the choice of diving, fishing & boat trips.

Our 1 bedroom Pet Friendly Cottage Annex on the family farm, overlooking the North Sea and Firth of Forth, is within minutes of the beautiful coastline and yet just 50 minutes drive south of Edinburgh city. With ensuite shower room and lounge/diner, this Annex has a small fridge, an inverter microwave oven, a 2 ring hob and a 32" TV. Wifi is available but locally, we have great food, world class diving and golf, challenging cycle ways, cliff top walks and tons of fresh sea air. See you soon.

Positioned on the top floor of what was once the White Horse Coaching Inn, built by Laurence Ord in 1624, the loft is entered by the iconic steps seen in so many photos of Edinburgh. Eyemouth is a picturesque seaside village with a bustling harbour where you can buy locally caught fish or enjoy a meal in the many restaurants all within walking distance. Eyemouth has plenty of activities including fishing, boat trips and diving. There is a leisure centre and amusement arcade with 10 pin bowling.
