Canal Boat Home Experience | Amsterdam Centre

Please join me in sharing my 1st canal boat experience, moved in Aug 2022. I'd like to share the experience, typically while traveling. Listing covers future investments into the boat's maintenance. Great for travellers that like a Local Experience near the waterfront, this is NOT a hotel for Business Travellers.

Beautiful spacious sustainable house boat.

This 100m2 self built houseboat in Europe's most sustainable floating neighbourhood: 'Schoonschip', offers an instant holiday sensation. Just a 5 minute bike ride north of central station in the hippest and most exciting area of Amsterdam, but in itself a quiet and peaceful city oasis. With direct access to swimming, canoeing and beautiful strolls outside; and a sauna and home theater inside. A'dam Good Story! On the 2nd and 3rd floor of my home I created an affordable place to stay. Comfortable and clean for friends & families. What you see is what you get. I live in a quiet, residential neighbourhood and perfect for like minded people. The metro to the city runs until around 00:15, not ideal for nightcrawlers. Renovated apartment with unique designer features, and a peaceful semi-wild garden by the water. Spacious bedroom with beautiful ensuite bath - perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. The apartment is conveniently located - just 10 mins by metro to the centre, and 12 mins by direct train from Schiphol. There is also free on-street parking available next to the apartment building. We are a couple from the UK and Greece originally, and we rent our apartment while traveling.
