The room and toilet are pretty clean. Beds are comfy. I think you need ask for en-suite room if you need one. Gotta bring your own towels. There are no fans in the room, but it was pleasant during the time we visited. Property has a balcony sit out area, and enjoyed being there. Birding guide and transport with driver were arranged by the homestay. And, both of them are very nice people. Food was so comforting. Small provision stores nearby. Homestay also offered pickup and drop off from Bagdogra airport. No other rooms were occupied, so it was just 2 of us girls, and we felt absolutely safe in the homestay and also during birding activity.

Irecently had the pleasure of staying at Sanjay's place in Kalimpong, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The property is not only beautifully maintained but also offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Sanjay was an exceptional host—warm, welcoming, and always available to assist with any queries or needs.

The host: Samridhi is a very responsive and helpful host. The cab driver she referred was super reliable, the tea supplier was excellent. Amenities: The homestay is beautiful, clean and comes with a fully equipped kitchen. Its cozy and very comfortable. It can accommodate upto 3 people. View: The balcony overlooks Happy Valley Tea Estate and the view is gorgeous. Definitely the highlight. Location: Excellent- a 20 minute walk from the centre of the city. Food: Food at the homestay was simple and tasty. The building has multiple flats which makes it a good choice for bigger groups too. I'd definitely recommend Magnolia Homestay to anyone who's visiting Darjeeling.

We were a group of 10 people comprising family and friends. I think we can unanimously say that the stay was excellent. Nirupama and her staff have been very kind and caring, especially given the group size and individual needs. The kitchen is warm and comfortable, and it has a large barbecue pit. We found the food tasty and the person who cooks it, Amit, friendly with a charming smile. True to its name, the location is an ideal setting for a perfect getaway with exciting hiking options available to explore the hills and Senchal forest. Also, since HHI is situated between Kurseong and Darjeeling, so both towns are easily accessible. There are few areas though that could compromise one's experience. The approach road is a steep 75 degree climb and not for the faint hearted. We found it dangerously broken due to rains. Trekking your way up or down is hardly an option with the climb and the distance. Also, a few simple things need to taken care of. For eg., electric kettles with tea/coffee bags and water bottles could be made available in all rooms, a simple shelf could be provided to manage clothes. But overall, if you want to live on top of the world among the clouds, complemented by warm hospitality and food, HHI in Sonada is your destination.

They were always available to provide tips for exploring Darjeeling and even helped arrange transportation, making our trip hassle-free. It was like a secret nook in the midst of the forest. We had a comfortable and cozy cabin to ourselves with a nice view of the woods. Clean, sanitized and tidy rooms (and bathroom) with warm and comfortable beddings. Mr. Tshering and his mother are both very warm and welcoming. They made us feel at home since we reached the farm. Evening bonfire and barbecue were major ornaments to this package. However, the entire experience was brilliant. Visiting again for sure later this year, perhaps in Autumn. Highly recommended.

We were a group of 9 - who met for our reunion- with varying demands ! But hats off to Sourav and team, they made us extremely comfortable- right from pre check in stage to seeing us off. Food was amazing - and all credit to Anisha who whipped up some delicious, homely meals - and pretty quickly ! Other staff- Ashwin and his co staff were equally hospitable making our stay a wonderful experience. The view of Kanchenjunga from the resort is something that will want you coming back!
