Alex's spot was absolutely wonderful and exactly what we were hoping for. The home had everything we needed and was nestled in the middle of a beautiful nature reserve. The setting was wonderful as we got to enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the patio and had some wonderful stargazing at night time. Alex and Sean were wonderful hosts and went over and above to make us feel at home. The check in was flexible and getting to the home was well explained although you will need a 4x4 High Clearance Vehicle to get there, It is all part of the adventure - Sean even helped me with a suspension issue i had on my car in his Workshop. We will certainly be back to this tranquil spot as we look forward to exploring more of Syringa Sands.

Hugo's 'Bush Retreat' was really special. If you enjoy the feeling of being really off the beaten track & surrounded by the raw beauty of the African Veld, this is the place for you!. Yes, we are biased as we now live in Australia & really miss the smells of the bush & the animals that are unique to Africa. To see buck passing our home & hear lions roaring close by (in the Predator Park) ... well words cannot do justice to the experience. We also thoroughly recommend the game drives that Mabilingwe provide. The rangers are knowledgeable & leaven the experience with their humour. Hugo's home fits the part in that it is bush lodge in every sense of the word. We loved his artworks & carvings. They created an authentic African ambience. The view from his lodge & deck just rounded things off for us so well. Hugo, thank you for lending your wonderful home to us & for your prompt response to our questions. I hope we can return sometime in the future!

Aske Bush Retreat was everything we hoped for and more! Nestled deep in nature, it offered the perfect mix of tranquility and comfort. Waking up to the sounds of birds and the fresh scent of nature. The cabin was clean, well-equipped, and beautifully designed to blend into the natural surroundings. We loved the walking trails nearby and the peaceful evenings by the fire pit under the stars. The hosts were friendly and responsive. If you're looking to disconnect and recharge, this is the place. Would absolutely stay again!

We had an amazing break away for 8 adults and a child and the accommodation ticked all the boxes with high quality beds and bedding. The pool has a safety net over which immediately set me at ease with regards to kid safety. You really don't want for anything in the kitchen, it's fully equipped. The host was really helpful and responsive on questions. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week staying here. The animals come to visit you throughout the day, and it's a great experience to see them up close. The house is very well maintained, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. There is a restaurant on the premises, and a shop that caters for most items you need. Also some small home-based shopping in the reserve we you can buy homemade goodies, biltong, wood etc. Very safe, so we were happy that our teenagers could walk around and do their own thing whiles we sat on the porch! Would definitely recommend for a peaceful, relaxing bush holiday. Definitely worth coming back for another visit.

We travelled 3 families (12-61 years) together. The farm is beautiful and interesting. Teaming with wildlife and game. If you get the chance, go for a sundown-gamedrive. The views of the farm from the hills are breathtaking. A special thanks to the people who patiently and knowledgable guided us through game-drives and hunts. We hope to return to this place!

Our little family have an awesome time . We stayed for two nights and it was lovely. From the booking to the communication everything was excellent. This family owned place is well managed , run with kindness and grace. We operated the boiler Donkie for the first time and had warm water for showering. It is clean and well taken care off. Great Wi-Fi and all cooking tools were provided. We went for morning walks with the kids and had amazing time. They have a cactus tree a beautiful and rare find. If you looking for a great Glamping experience with the family away from the big city- 2 hours away from Johannesburg. I highly recommend it. We will be coming back soon. We enjoyed a wonderful, long weekend stay at Pumba Place. The house is very comfortable, clean and well appointed. We loved the wild animals that strolled by the house, in the mornings and afternoons. We’ll definitely be back!
