We came to town to visit our niece and we have small dogs. This was a great place to have dinner, walk our dogs, and still get to where we needed to go within reason. The house was very clean and tidy. Would recommend.

This place perfect for a two family weekend ski trip. The location was central to everything we wanted to do. The house also had everything we needed. The host was very helpful and made every aspect easy and stress free. We will be back.

We absolutely loved our stay! The place was easy to find and access. It is conveniently located in Luray close to the town and attractions, but also far enough away to unplug and have privacy. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit while star gazing. Would highly recommend and would book again!

My family (parents and 2 brothers) visited from abroad and we decided to go on a road trip to Tennessee from New Jersey. We were looking for our first stop somewhere mid-way and were lucky enough to find Sandra's spot! Prior to our arrival we received detailed instructions on how to access the property and get inside. Everything was as clear as it gets, which made it very streamlined, especially when arriving late after a long drive. Inside was immaculate, and it felt like home straight from the start. Sandra left us a warm welcome note, a basket of snacks, and a breakfast surprise which made our morning sweet! The property itself is just amazing! You are in the middle of a "tiny" forest, surrounded by trees, waking up to the sound of birds... Just what we were looking for. We spent two nights on our way to, and unfortunately they were booked on our way back, as we wanted to return! Yes, Sandra shares the property but they were unnoticeable! It's like you have it to yourself.

Great cabin on a mountain with lots of wineries nearby. The mountain is steep so do come prepared with 4WD. Overall experience was great

We had a wonderful stay at this charming cabin! The open space on the main floor made it feel spacious and inviting, and the kitchen was well-stocked and easy to use—perfect for preparing meals during our stay. The fireplace added a cozy touch, making it a great place to relax in the evenings. The upstairs loft was a nice bonus, with a convenient desk that worked well for remote work. The cabin is in a great location, just a short drive to Basye and Bryce Resort, making it easy to enjoy local activities. The owners were incredibly responsive and even accommodated an early check-in, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a lovely getaway, and we’d happily stay here again!

I absolutely loved it here! Everything about this place was amazing. It’s had so much to do in this area and the restaurants was incredible. I felt like I was at home! Very clean and peaceful! Absolutely 10/10

The home was so much nicer in person 😁 and we were pleasantly surprised it was so well equipped and so much space we could have just stayed in the basement. It was beautiful and the deers coming out the woods every morning made this NYC girl Christmas very special. I loved every minute at the Mountain House🥰Thanks it was well worth it

This was a great place to stay for us, three women. We each had our own bedroom and there were plenty of bathrooms and seating in the living room. Is this house brand new? No, but it was very clean and comfortable. It is also very close to downtown Harrisonburg, which was exactly where we wanted to be to visit relatives. Highly recommend!
