Stayed at Pete & Kyle’s as a halfway point for our drive south to Tennessee, both on the way down and then again on the way back north. It was as advertised and exactly what our family needed as a quick layover before we got back on the road. Place was extremely clean, located in a beautiful area, and a part of a wonderful house. I don’t think we could have asked for anything more.

Amazing. Truly one of the best places I’ve stayed at for a trip. The tree house is so cozy and comfortable, not to mention a BEAUTIFUL view. Private and intimate, if you’re looking for a place to detach from reality and the internet this is the place. Close to many great attractions and hiking trails. House was clean and looked just like the pictures. Sally was a great host and has a speedy response time. Loved it here, will hopefully be back in the future!!!!

This place was amazing!! The property itself is wonderful but to walk in and already feel like home was unexpected. Everything was lovely from the decor to the cleanliness to the staff. We wish we could have stayed much longer!! Thank you for everything and we will definitely be back. Soon!

I had a wonderful stay. Ruthann’s place was beautiful both inside and out. The room was spacious, spotless, and full of light, perfect for a solo traveler. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, great water pressure in the shower. I especially loved the raised nook beside the bed; it was a lovely place to begin the day, reading by the morning light and listening to the birds. The private patio is peaceful, a well-shaded garden with comfortable furnishings; you can spend all day out there. Ruthann is just lovely. Her instructions for parking and accessing the space were clear, and she was very responsive and checked in with me each day. It was great to chat. I felt very welcome. I appreciated all the little touches, from snacks and water to the collection of DVDs. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and hope to stay again!

We had an amazing stay at the Miller House! The way Dawn cared for and improved the house and the property is inspiring! The house is well equipped. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen has everything you need to cook, and the living room setup is perfect. We loved sitting out on both the front porch and the patio in the morning and at night. It was chilly outside at night, so the fire pit was a nice touch, with plenty of stargazing opportunities. The gas fireplace in the living room is also very easy to operate and gives even a cozier feeling. The way the house was renovated and decorated kept the farm house feel, and gave us a real taste of country living. We loved waking up to the sunrises, and walking around the property. Every corner of the property and the house is picture perfect (we took so many pics!) Overall it was a great vacation/family reunion for us and we really enjoyed the farm house/country life feel this house provided. We would love to come back in the future!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Eileen's. Her home was beautiful. The amenities she provided was above and beyond other places I have stayed. We loved the fresh eggs we were able to purchase. The home was warm and cozy on the cold nights. We used both the fire pit and the hot tub. They were both great. If we are in the area again we would definitely book again.

My fiancé, pup, and I booked this place for a relaxing valentine’s weekend getaway, and we got exactly that! The cottage was charming and such a peaceful oasis with the beautiful views and farm animals in clear sight. The hosts were kind enough to leave us farm fresh eggs, muffins, and valentine’s themed chocolates — all were delicious and well appreciated! Additionally, they were very responsive and extremely friendly :) My fiancé and I spent time cooking dinner together, I baked, and watercolored, it was a lovely time! I highly recommend this place and hope to be back!

Sarah and Kyle were excellent hosts! Very communicative, quick to respond, easy to work with. I was impressed at how thoughtful they were towards guests with all the little details and offerings in the tent and at the site. It cut down a lot on what we had to pack - particularly the wood!! The creek was fun, I loved spotting the fish, snakes, crayfish, snails, and other wildlife.

The cabin was really nice with comfortable accommodations and everything you need. There is a road that runs in front of and behind the cabin that has quite a bit of traffic on the weekend as the road is an entrance to a park/campground and it was a holiday weekend. This was a benefit to us though as we love to hike and could walk to or drive within a couple of minutes to several really great trails! Having the heated in ground pool for my daughter was amazing and when we had some issues with Bees the owners handled it right away. This is definitely a cabin in the woods by the water so come prepared with bug repellant. We did venture out to some local wineries and a lavender farm/winery but would have been just as content to enjoy the cabin and the property! Overall we really enjoyed this place and would totally go back when we are visiting the Harrisonburg area.

A very nice place, cozy and very clean. Even though it rained and we couldn't enjoy the hot tub, it didn't stop us from enjoying it. It has everything you need.

This is a hidden gem if you’re looking for a quiet retreat or are hiking around Shenandoah! The farm is so cute, and Kelly and her family are so welcoming. There was clear communication to prepare for our stay, and Kelly was quick to respond to any questions. The place was clean and well organized, having everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect - peaceful at the base of the mountains, about 10 minutes from the middle entrance of Shenandoah, only 5 minutes from the town of Elkton. We immensely enjoyed our stay here. I am hoping to get the chance to come back for a longer stay!

The farmhouse was beautiful. Very clean and well kept. I could spend the whole day seated in front of the picture frame window. Great kitchen - had all the amenities and loved the open kitchen plan. The location was very convenient to downtown Luray and parks. The kids were a bit disappointed that there was no cattle and that the horses were too far away because the closed off pasture is very large. Other than that we had a lovely stay.

Great place to stay. Amazing views from the house which is situated on a hill overlooking a valley. It is beautiful. So fun to be out in the country, relaxing and peaceful. Everything you need is in the house. All 9 of us had our own space. The pool table was a lot of fun. Close to downtown Staunton which is a fun place to walk and eat. Totally would come back and we would recommend this place to everyone.

Our stay on the hillside in Dayton was peaceful and scenic. The house was just the right size and easy to relax/cook/clean up in. We would revisit!

This charming little cottage is a wonderful bonus rental to the main house. Though I had not originally rented this cottage when I rented the main house, at the last minute, I had extra guests that needed accommodations and John was able to rent the cottage on very short notice. The cottage was clean and ready for an early check-in in record time and my guests were very happy with this sweet cottage. A beautiful location that is such a lovely spot for a getaway or special weekend trip. A nice little taste of country life for all who come to the Shenandoah Valley.

Our stay was relaxing and great. The space was clean and as desrcibed. This was our second stay at this propeerty and was just as great as our first stay. Thank your for poviding a comfortable stay during our long work week.

We had an unforgettable family vacation at "A Time to Chill". The name fits perfectly... lots of space for our family of five, great game room, super comfortable bedrooms, beautiful backyard, everything spotless and organized. We loved the fire pit with the star filled sky, having a barbecue dinner under the patio lights, and everyone enjoyed the hot tub! Top it off with the breathtaking views and hikes in the Shenandoah National Park, plenty of restaurants with good food, friendly folks, and fun places to sightsee. Every day we came "home" and enjoyed true family time with lots of laughs, sharing stories, hopes for the future and heartfelt prayers. Veronica was very responsive for all our questions. We will always treasure this vacation.

The woodpecker’s chalet was a beautiful cabin with an amazing view to go to sleep to and wake up to. Natasha was so friendly and responsive and gave us wonderful recommendations. I can’t say enough how gorgeous her place is and how comfortable we were staying there. I definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful, clean place and enjoy taking in the scenery!

Stayed here for a girls weekend and it was absolutely perfect! Everything was as described. I reached out several times for recommendations prior to our trip and they were extremely helpful each time. They even have lots of brochures and pamphlets for local attractions and restaurants waiting for you when you get there! We are definitely planning on visiting again and will be staying here without a doubt!

We loved this gorgeous cabin in the woods with the sweetest bear-themed decor. It was really well-equipped so we could cook our own meals and Marty and Mellanie were great communicators who suggested a few nice hikes. The only downside was the crazy number of bugs! Be sure to bring the bug spray and it's not super pleasant sitting outside because of that so be warned.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! The home was thoughtfully designed and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the screened-in porch and the fire pit. Sitting outside by the fire late into the night was a highlight of our trip. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked with every gadget, appliance, and piece of glassware you could possibly need. The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and had all the little touches that made it feel like home. The location was also great, just a 10-minute drive to New Market with some cute shops and restaurants, and only 15 minutes from the Yellow Cliff mountain overlook. The hike was a challenge, but the views were absolutely breathtaking and well worth it. Communication with the host was excellent throughout, and it’s clear they put a lot of care into making this cabin a special place. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped retreat in nature!

The cabin is gorgeous! It’s taken care of and everything was super comfortable! We loved the privacy and especially loved that the tap water was fresh and filtered! We were sad about the EV charging situation as it wasn’t made clear that it was an extension cord from the house. We hadn’t brought our adaptor to charge our car and that would have been helpful to know it wasn’t an actual charging station as that’s why we chose the place. Perhaps clarify that in the accommodation details? But other than that we had a lovely stay and enjoyed the cabin and surrounding areas immensely! Jim and Lisa provided lots of information about the area and that was extremely thoughtful and helpful!

I’m so happy that we booked Rusty and Jayme’s place. It was just like the photos and description. It was a little adventure finding the cabin but it wasn’t a problem at all, especially with the great info that was sent to us. The cabin was equipped with pretty much all the things you hope to find in a rental and with extras like long handled forks for the fire pit and a folding drying rack, etc. We were able to visit family locally and then come back to the cabin to rest and enjoy some downtime. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Rusty and Jayme.
