Camp Garoga offers high quality accommodations year round for guests. Located in the foothills of the southern Adirondacks and bordering 400+ acres, Garoga(Bear or Moose Cabin) offers so much more of an experience than a hotel could ever offer!
Two cabins are available at Camp Garoga. So if our calendar shows no vacancy please inquire. If you are interested in the cabin with the jacuzzi, please let me know when inquiring. I do have other cabins as well, with jacuzzis. Think of Camp Garoga as a log cabin condo. Meticulous and affordable(priced just higher than hotels in town yet offering SO MUCH MORE!). We take great pride in owning one of the 3rd nicest cabin accommodations around. **FYI, we also hold the #1 and #2 positions :) The cabins are connected back to back to each other with Moose Cabin facing west and Bear Cabin facing east. In regards to amenities both cabins are completely separate from each other with their own driveways, private screen porch, fire-pit and gas grill. The likelihood of seeing the other guests is slim(unless you're both hiking the private 400 wooded acres with trails that start at your doorstep). Moose Cabin now offers a BRAND NEW 4 person jacuzzi! Please inquire about availability. There is an additional $35 jacuzzi fee for a 2-3 night stay and an $50 additional fee for 4-7 night stay. This fee is not secured through Airbnb and is due on arrival. We think that it's a wonderful addition to the cabin and are excited to have finally installed it. **NEW** Because of a high demand of guests looking for snowshoe rentals we have purchased some high-end SNOWSHOES that are now available for rental. Please inquire about availability($10/weekend per set. $20/wk per set). A liability/replacement waiver will need to be signed on arrival to cover lost or damaged snowshoes. Some guests have mentioned the quality of the water and have expressed concern(including 2 older guests who left a gas burner on for 2 DAYS STRAIGHT without a flame and blamed the odor on the tap water. I can't believe they made it out alive, yet never mentioned it until I informed them that housekeeping nearly "dropped dead" when she walked in to clean 2 hours after they left. Please know your carcinogens, people :/ ) Well water isn't like city water and does have a different taste, but the water is VERY safe to drink(as most people in the area use it) and is excellent for your skin and hair. If you prefer not to use the tap water for drinking, we do supply an unlimited supply of fresh drinking water(which is delicious) Pets are not allowed in any of our cabins. NO EXCEPTIONS. Character, warmth, and charm are the cornerstones behind the very idea of Camp Garoga. We wanted to create an inviting, cozy, and AFFORDABLE space for guests who wish to explore ALL of what the Adirondack's can provide. Whether you're looking to enjoy a long romantic weekend or a week long vacation for the your adventurous family, Camp Garoga offer so much more than a hotel ever could and it won't disappoint. Upon pulling in the driveway you will notice the care and attention to detail starting with the traditional rustic adirondack style twig work rails on the screened in porch. Reminiscent of the historic "great camps" from the onset of Adirondack lodging. The comfortable screened in porch offers privacy as well as a sitting area for reading and relaxing out doors and a picnic table for any meal of the day or playing one of the many board games provided. Most cabins in the area overlook the importance of the adirondack screen porch, offering you solace from the springtime bugs and nighttime insects that would otherwise be attracted to your evening reading light. We have added 2 porch ceiling fans for your added comfort. Once you enter through the double French doors, nothing will disappoint! From the light balsam fragrance and immaculate accommodations, to the handmade soap and the natural pine woodwork we have created a cabin masterpiece. And it HAS to be clean! Our cleaning staff is spot on with keeping the cabins looking brand new each and everytime. Our guests continuously feel that they're the first ever guests and feel instantly at home. The bedrooms and living room space are ULTRA inviting with their unique cabin decor, clean linens, and quaint reading spaces. With the fireplace being the heart of the cabin. Garoga borders over 400 wooded acres for your immediate outdoor needs right from your doorstep. Particularly enjoyable would be a morning walk along the trails with a cup of coffee or tea. Let the kids loose to enjoy the woodland or large grassy backyard with fire pit(some wood provided). The occasional bench along the trails offers a comfortable and quiet resting place for reading a good book or just taking in the private forest surroundings. Autumn and winter walks are particularly enjoyable! And when you've worked up a good chill, the cabin awaits your arrival for a warm fireside nap or conversation. Sit on the hearth with its bearskin rug for instant warmth. No detail is overlooked! Not only was Garoga built by the owners, but the rustic details inside are original as well. Specifically built for the cabins in a small wood shop on site(in the historic Adirondack great camp tradition), nearly every Adirondack inspired table, sign, and mirror was hand crafted by your host. A genuine love of the Adirondack style is pleasantly obvious throughout both the Bear and Moose cabins. Each cabin boasts 20 foot cathedral ceilings with natural pine woodwork, a loft, skylights, and antler chandeliers. Beautifully finished pine plank flooring hand engraved with bear paw prints or oak leaves throughout(depending on which cabin you're in) add unexpected charm. Comfortable bedding and cozy new furniture offers you a relaxing and enjoyable stay. If you enjoy coffee or tea, Garoga has that covered! We supply as much as you need. If special arrangements need to be made in regards to birthdays, anniversaries, or even marriage proposals(we've had our share), your host is ALWAYS there to help make it happen flawlessly. Don't be afraid to ask. Our reviews on other sites speak for themselves as guests return year after year, season after season to the special accommodations of Camp Garoga. Come be a part of our growing family of regulars at this one of a kind cabin experience. Where as I require guests meet with me upon your arrival, my preference is to leave you alone to enjoy the coziness of the cabin. Texting is the best way to accomplish that. Most guests text me periodically throughout the day for special attention, or many times just to say hello (go figure). I want to be reachable at all times of your stay but I don't want to be 'all up in your grill'. Unless it's your gas grill and the propane needs to be replenished. Because in that case, you want me up in your grill. The cabin is located in a rural area without much foot traffic. It is a very safe place to enjoy the outdoors. Although there are bears in the area, the odds of you running into one is very rare. In 13 years I've seen 3 and only one was by the cabin. Rt 29, 29A, 10, and 30 are the best roads to get you to where you want to go. Both 29's run east and west, while 10 and 30 run north to south. Some firewood is provided for your outdoor fire pit, but if you plan on excessive use(which is fine), there are local roadside places to purchase extra campfire wood. We charge a $100 premium for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. We require a 3 night minimum for any holiday weekend.
The cabin borders 400+ acres for your leisure enjoyment with marked trails and benches along the way. There isn't anything remotely touristy about this location which allows you to be free of interruption. Camp Garoga is a high quality cabin experience at hotel prices and is a great location for complete relaxation or a "home base" for day trips. There are plenty of hiking trails within a short driving distance.

JUST WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR! bright and breezy. Cool and eclectic. Great sandy beach. Hot tub! Fire pit. Grill. Outdoor HOT shower. BOAT, BEACH, KAYAK, READ, RELAX, STARGAZE, FISH, ENJOY, HIKE, BIKE, LIVE, SWIM, GATHER, COOK, EAT, LOVE! Sweetheart is a small, rustic cottage.
We want you to be our guest! If we have availability for the week you are interested in, let us know what you can afford to pay and we'll try to help you plan a wonderful and affordable vacation! IMPORTANT: Sweetheart is heated primarily by a wood stove. It is not insulated and can get chilly in the late Fall season. If you do not feel comfortable with a wood stove (it may have to be stoked throughout the night) then this may not be the house for you. If you're up for a great price, "roughing it" in the cooler weather, this is definitely the house for you! As important- Sweetheart is a rustic cottage. The floors are uneven, you may see a mouse, you probably will see a spider. The bedrooms are small. The wall between the two bedrooms does not go all the way to the ceiling. It is best for families or very good friends. It is clean. comfortable, affordable and fun and we love it! Sweetheart is full of love and laughter, kitschy and wonky, an excellent place to bond with your family and friends- a wonderful place to experience beauty and peace. We would love to share with you. "Sweetheart" is a cheerful three-season vacation home just steps away from a private beachy area shared with neighbors on beautiful East Caroga Lake. The house is not waterfront. The talented owners, a designer/builder and a gourmet cook, have turned "Sweetheart" into a relaxed, informal retreat with a focus on outdoor living. The spacious, level double lot, with its lovely backdrop of mixed woodland, features an new grill, hot outdoor shower, six-person jetted spa, picnic table, and a comfortable living area circling a stone fire pit. The exterior of "Sweetheart" is classic Adirondack - barn red clapboard siding with mullioned windows and shutters painted a forest green, the front yard soft with pine needles from stately trees rimming the property, paths and borders carefully edged with native stones. Indoors, white-washed cedar walls and aqua enameled wood floors lend a touch of "beach shack" atmosphere, repeated in seascape oil paintings and shell collections. (An exuberant painting collection also includes landscaped and still-lifes.) The open living area features a large living room and an eat-in kitchen. The cathedral ceiling is hung with light strands and vintage colored-glass globe chandeliers for an amber glow . A brick fireplace with wood stove insert centers one wall. The wood stove showcases beautiful fires and efficiently heats the camp on chilly evenings. Entertainment options include TV (no cable), DVD and VCR and board games. Please note that the televisions are "old school" and will not be compatible with a firestick ,etc. High-speed WI-FI internet access is provided for your laptop computer- your best bet for watching current shows and movies, etc. The kitchen has large, charmingly old-fashioned "camp" windows that swing open on top-hinges to hook onto the rafters above, white vintage cabinetry, and a 30's vintage sheet linoleum floor in a harlequin pattern of black, red and gray diamonds that we happily uncovered during renovation. The antique wood dining table and painted kitchen chairs seat six. The fully-equipped eat-in kitchen includes refrigerator, fabulous vintage electric range with "crock pot" slow-cooker insert, enameled sink with built-in drainboard, microwave, toaster oven, blender and coffee maker. A china cupboard holds a charming array of vintage dinnerware, while a butcher block unit stores generous serving bowls and platters. A large mirror on the range wall reflects beautiful green light from the kitchen's two walls of windows. The small master bedroom features the rustic glamour of a queen-size canopy bed hand-crafted by the Amish from twigs and branches painted a dreamy white and swathed in little white string lights. The walls are white with a distressed-finish antique door. Two windows offer circulation of cooling breezes. The second bedroom features a trundle bed (two twin beds that can be made into a king size bed). A window looks out across lawn to lovely evergreen trees. A dresser and wall hooks provide clothes storage. A full sleeper-sofa on the sun porch allows "Sweetheart" to accommodate a total of six guests. The beds are outfitted with attractive spreads, blankets, and pillows. Guests provide their own linens: sheets, pillowcases, and towels. The enclosed sun porch, with three walls of multi-paned glass and screened windows that are curtained for privacy, is an ideal den or third bedroom. A suite of comfortable beige leather furniture includes a sectional sofa that incorporates two recliners and a full sleeper-sofa, providing plenty of space for hanging out as well as sleeping in. An ivory-enameled Jotul free-standing gas fireplace will warm up that area in cool weather. Next to the bedrooms is a full bath with toilet, console sink, and small shower. One wall of the bathroom serves as a graffiti guest book. An outdoor hot shower and hot tub (along with a dip in the lake!) provide summer's best bathing experiences. Outside features a gas grill and a large picnic table whose comfortable benches have backs to them and seat six easily. Bluestone stepping stones set in a pebble patio lead to the six-person jetted spa**** offering relaxation under the stars. Next to the spa is an enclosed outdoor shower. In the large, grassy clearing beyond, a collection of comfortable Adirondack furniture, including a rustic swing, encircles a stone fire pit for bonfires and s'mores. Nearby is a horseshoe pit. A short walk across the quiet road rimming East Caroga Lake brings you to the sandy, protected waterfront shared with a handful of neighbors. In addition to offering great swimming, you may rent kayaks or canoes to launch from here for fishing and exploring East Caroga Lake's many coves and inlets. A channel leads to West Caroga Lake, allowing boaters to paddle to the village center for a meal. Hiking, mountain biking and ATV trails, trout-fishing streams, state hunting land, and gorgeous views from a mountaintop fire tower are all nearby. The county has seven golf courses and 44 lakes to enjoy, ranging from small hidden lakes on hiking trails to the 26 mile long Great Sacandaga. The village of Caroga Lake has restaurants, taverns, post office, laundromat, general store, coffee shop, gas, ATM, video rentals, and a chapel. All the amenities of a friendly, small city are 15 minutes away in the historic sister-cities of Gloversville and Johnstown. Centrally located in the accessible southern Adirondacks, just 30 minutes north of the NY State Thruway, "Sweetheart" is a great location for easy daytrip excursions to Saratoga (Performing Arts Center, Thoroughbred Racing, and much more), Lake George, Great Sacandaga Lake, Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame, Farmer's Museum, Fenimore Museum, Howe Caverns), the Albany capital region, and much of the six million acre Adirondack Park, including Blue Mountain Lake and Tupper Lake, homes of renowned Adirondack regional museums. It's about an hour to Saratoga, Cooperstown, and Albany; about four hours to New York, Boston, Buffalo, and Montreal. "Sweetheart" accommodates a maximum of six guests at all times. There is off-street parking for three cars. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. "Sweetheart" has a NO SHOES policy; bring slippers or flip-flops for indoor use. You provide your own sheets and towels- we provide bedding, blankets and pillows. ****We realize that the hot tub is a very nice feature at Sweetheart. Please use it wisely- shower before entering, don't use lotions, oils, etc. We want all of our guests to be able to enjoy it! If there seems to be a problem, please let us know right away and we will do our best to make it right as soon as possible. Please note that it can be finicky and does require maintenance. For that reason, there are no guarantees. We want you to be fully aware that you may not always have access and there is no refund if for some unforeseen reason it is not fit for use. Hasn't happened many times but we don't want any disappointment. Rest assured, we always try our very best!
Beautiful lake, great swimming, friendly neighbors, peace and quiet, awesome stars, fun fire pit, plenty of hikes, fun bars, close to Saratoga and some cute little towns. Great small town feel. Gorgeous!

PEAK SUMMER MONTHS- From the end of June through Labor Day guests stay for minimum 7 nights. Check in on Fridays only. Airbnb calendar is confusing so please be sure your stay is from Friday to Friday, only. We have several other beautiful homes in all price ranges and sizes featured on AirBNB- check out Sweetheart, Noni's Joy, and Hiawatha too! Holiday weekends are three night minimum. We're flexible when we have last minute availability- never hurts to ask! "Sunset" is a deeply romantic getaway and serene year-round destination for writers, artists, nature lovers and all who appreciate the beauty and gentle pleasures of a quiet Adirondack lake. Located on Pleasant Lake in the accessible southern Adirondacks, "Sunset" is named for its western views from every room and three levels of sunny, furnished decks. This lovingly detailed lakefront cottage was completely remodeled and furnished with your comfort in mind. It accommodates six, with a queen master bedroom, queen sleeping loft and queen living room sleeper-sofa, and is particularly suitable for adults and older children. "Sunset's" STUNNING LAKE VIEWS, framed by magnificent pines, include two islands and the daily light show of the setting sun. Sunrise, reflected in the lake, is equally beautiful. An Adirondack swing is a romantic spot for sky-gazing. At lakeside, a ladder offers easy entry into deep, clear water. Kayaks and a canoe are available for an additional fee- there are life jackets at the house but if you require a particular size, please bring your own. "Sunset's" light, airy OPEN-PLAN LIVING SPACE includes a living room and lakefront dining room with vaulted ceilings and a full-size eat-in kitchen. A lakefront master bedroom, sleeping loft, bathroom and entry hall complete the interior. From the relaxed comfort of country antiques mixed with casual new classic furniture, to generous windows and the warm mood of vintage lighting set on dimmer switches, exceptional care went into every detail of "Sunset's" design. Floral hooked rugs soften pine floors; ceiling fans enhance lake breezes. Brand new central heat in late 2017 keeps "Sunset" toasty through Adirondack winters while a supplemental Jotul stove (the stove is propane, it is not wood fired) takes the chill off brisk spring and autumn mornings and adds a glow to any evening. The LIVING ROOM's plush sofa and rattan furniture plumped with sumptuous down cushions and cozy throws create flexible groupings for pleasant conversation and quiet entertainment. Vintage bridge lamps and sconces provide bright reading light, while a glass-topped coffee table is perfect for Scrabble or another of the classic board games we provide along with a selection of guidebooks, magazines, CD's and videos. The TV/DVD can be viewed from almost anywhere in the cottage. Sheer drapes drawn between living and dining rooms create intimate spaces or privacy for guests using the sleeper sofa. Please note there is no cable tv- you may get limited- one or two stations. The LAKEFRONT DINING ROOM radiates light from two picture windows set in sunny yellow walls. Fireplace flames, mirrored arches and a shimmering Italian chandelier add to the lake's sparkle. An antique table seats six; vintage pastel Lu-Ray dinnerware, floral Bavarian serving pieces, reproduction "French ivory" cutlery, and crystal wine and champagne glasses set a sophisticated and romantic table. Two rocking chairs are ideal for bird watching. A deck spanning the front of the cottage is furnished for warm weather al fresco dining, with a patio heater extending the season. The highlight of the FULLY-EQUIPPED EAT-IN KITCHEN, charmingly fitted with new and vintage elements, is its aqua 1950's electric range with double ovens, which inspired "boomerang" Formica surfaces. A double-basin, skirted farmhouse sink is deep enough for a lobster pot. Display shelving offers easy storage above enameled cupboards. A dishwasher makes wash-up a breeze. The refrigerator is equipped with ice maker; a cooler of local spring water supplements the drilled well. A stainless-steel gas grill is steps away outside the entrance. The kitchen is well-equipped with sharp knives, stainless pots, cast-iron skillets, handy gadgets, microwave, 4-slice toaster, blender, rice cooker. A coffee-bar by the sink offers coffee grinder and maker, electric teakettle and mugs. Bakers will love the Kitchen-Aid mixer and full complement of baking pans. A breakfast counter has vintage metal stools, freshly powder-coated in ice-cream enamels. An intimate ambiance unusual in a kitchen is created with pendant task-lights on dimmers and soft strip-lighting behind the crown molding of the low, exposed-beam ceiling. Above a pine table with press-backed oak chairs, festive baubles animate a tole chandelier. It is hard to say which is the focal point of the ROMANTIC LAKEFRONT MASTER BEDROOM - the spectacular views or the Adirondack fantasy bed. White birch trees form a canopy of branches shimmering with tiny white lights above the queen-size bed. Windows spanning three walls flood the room with light. A view-reflecting mirror, French door and sky- blue ceiling add to the feeling of being outdoors in this serene, luxuriously comfortable bedroom. Rattan chairs share panoramic views with a window seat built from an antique chest. Vintage glass feathers and flowers on a mahogany dresser continue the glittering theme of the beautifully illuminated room. Bedside tables, halogen reading lights, lamps, ceiling fan, and plush woolly white rugs complete the furnishings. A walk-in cedar closet accommodates hanging clothes for both bedroom and sleeping loft. Antique porch posts support the LAKE VIEW SLEEPING LOFT, suitable for adults or older children. Reached by a sturdy library ladder, with a curtained privacy railing (please note the railing is not structurally supportive and must not be leaned against), the cozy loft has a queen bed set against a rustic log wall, antique bedside dressers and reading lights flanking a window with whimsical pediment. The peaked ceiling, textured and sponged in an abstract swirl of sky and clouds, features a stained-glass star lantern. Luxury linens at "Sunset" include down duvets, feather pillows and soft fleece blankets. You provide sheets, pillowcases and towels. The BATHROOM features a tub with "rain" shower head, and a pedestal sink and toilet set below a mirrored wall with shelves and medicine cabinet. Amenities include a magnifying mirror and hair dryer. During the warmer months, "Sunset" offers the treat of a hot outdoor shower. The ENTRANCE HALLWAY is an all-weather mudroom, with hooks, boot-trays and bench for removing and storing outdoor gear. Because "Sunset " has a "no shoes" policy, guests are requested to wear slippers, socks or bare feet in the house. "Sunset" is a quick walk from our ample parking area off a maintained dirt road. All-wheel or 4-wheel drive or chains may be required in winter. "Sunset" is an ideal base camp for OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES IN EVERY SEASON. Swim, fish and boat from our deep, clear water-front. Hike or mountain bike on nearby trails leading to lakes, fishing streams and mountaintops. Several golf courses, and spectator sports including motocross, NASCAR and horse racing, are within easy distance. Downhill and cross-country skiing, ice-skating, ice-fishing and miles of Adirondack wilderness trails for hiking and snowmobiling are all within minutes. With no commercial facilities and few year-round cottages, Pleasant Lake feels peacefully remote; yet necessities are available nearby. Convenience stores, gas, restaurants, bars, espresso and the Sunday NY "Times" are within five miles; all the services of a city are within 20. In a region bountiful with natural beauty, historic sites, museums, antiquing, music venues and family fun, day trip destinations include Saratoga Springs, Cooperstown, Lake George, and the Albany Capital Region. "Sunset" is centrally located at the southern rim of the Adirondack Park, just a four hour drive from Boston, Montreal, Buffalo and New York, 80 minutes from Albany International Airport. "Sunset" accommodates a maximum of 6 guests at all times. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Sunset has a NO SHOES policy: bring slippers or flip-flops for indoor use. Bedding, blankets and pillows are provided. Please bring your own sheets & towels. Visit our website for an extensive photo album, guest book and regional tourism information.
Peaceful, quiet, serene, gorgeous. Sunset is not in the middle of the Adirondacks with no neighbors, but it is relatively secluded and quiet.

Great stay.

Auskerada! Nestled on a wooded 3 acre lot at the end of a long stone driveway you'll find a destination that is the epitome of comfort and charm. Natural in every way and decorated in the finest Adirondack style you'll come back year after year.
****There is more to life than being in an alcohol induced coma. Drink responsibly. Quiet seclusion. Located on 3 acres and nestled perfectly and quietly among the native woodland of the southern Adirondack mountains(including balsam, hemlock, maple, and oak trees), Auskerada offers a unique and traditional lodging experience, with seclusion unlike most cabins in the area. Waking up to the sounds of nature you'll will find it effortless to unwind from a world of electronics(but we have those too). As you approach Auskerada you'll notice the rustic charm and care that has gone into such an extraordinary cabin. With all details considered and created by your host, you'll understand why guests come back time and again. From the stone chimney and natural landscaping to its rustic traditional Adirondack railings, you tend to forget the coldness of city life as the log cabin historically exudes warmth and invite even in the dead of winter. You will notice the large inviting promenade style porch along the front of the lodge which harkens back to a day when the porch was the center of neighborly society and conversation. The promenade offers comfortable rocking chairs, ceiling fans, and plenty of lighting for charm and mood including a stained glass post light that bids goodnight to the setting sun, welcoming the moon and the night time serenade of Adirondack wildlife...and asks "How was your day?" when returning from a day of shopping, skiing, hiking, fishing, canoeing, or just a day in the sun. On the south-facing side is a well thought out screened porch(a must have in the Adirondacks) offering a quaint sitting area for reading or a private romantic breakfast. It's the best way to enjoy the outdoors comfortably from nighttime insects. Also what's most inviting in this space is our new hot tub! Lending itself to the desirability of the cabin, this feature offers a spa-like escape for the fatigued hiker(or (URL HIDDEN) and is a perfect remedy for a chill in the autumn or winter air. As you soak in the CLEAN fresh water of the jacuzzi, you will enjoy the sites and peacefulness of the surrounding woodland. Fresh white towels hang next to the hot tub on rustic fish hangers. Ok, enough about that.......let's go inside. Upon entering through the classic front door via keyless entry(your code will be given to you prior to your arrival) you will feel instantly at home. Auskerada's rustic decor is front and center offering a comfort that other cabins cannot provide. The lodge is completely renovated and immaculate right down to the scents, and Adirondack detail that are specifically appointed making you a spoiled guest right from the start. Natural surfaces calm the spirit as an Adirondack getaway is intended to do. Every space is full of detail, comfort, and surprise for the curious traveler. Handmade items, antique finds, and Adirondack art fill these spaces. Two screened-in spaces are available for outdoor comfort. All guests enjoy Pine's Peak all year round(but crisp autumn days are certainly the best. I enjoy listening to the call of the loons on the lake from this space. The hot tub is available for use, but requires an additional charge of $35/wkend or $50/week. We like to try to keep our prices a bit lower for guests who do not wish to use the hot tub.
Auskerada is the last cabin on a dead end road enhancing the privacy.

Wunderschön dekoriert in echter Adirondack-Mode.

Ich will jetzt eins.

Check out the sites and activities we highlighted on our area map in the cabin and pictured on the listing. You must visit the Canada lake store. It is the quintessential Adirondack "camp store" in the heart of hiking boating fishing and golfing. Please also check out the Royal mountain ski area website for event scheduling. If you are visiting during motor Ross season note that Wednesday nights and certain weekends can get a bit loud with all the activity at the mountain. Some enjoy that and others may not. www.royalmountain.com

Year round indoor pool house that is 2000 square feet located in the lower adirondacks. There are several outdoor activities to do in the area...fishing, boating, kayaking, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing & restaurants. Check out my guidebook with things to do in and around the area including near by lakes and restaurants on the lakes. Spend the day exploring and then come back to relax in the warmth of your very own private pool, sit by a fire on the patio or start the grill.
THE POOL HOUSE IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!! PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ AND UPDATE YOURSELF ON THE COUPLE OF CHANGES WE HAVE MADE TO ENSURE EVERYONES SAFETY. ASK ME ABOUT THE STAY IN MAY SPECIAL!!! This is a great place to “work from home” Excellent WiFi. Work while the children are enjoying themselves in the pool. The entire pool house is yours and you have complete privacy. Plenty of restaurants are doing take out orders and delivery’s. Hello... If you just want to get away from it all and get some R&R this is the place. We are going above and beyond with disinfecting the pool house. We are using 2 cans of Lysol each cleaning on every single service including counter tops, appliances, furniture, chairs, beds, pillows, door knobs, light switches, etc. along with using 409. It has always been common practice to wash all linens, blankets and towels even if they were not used. We have kicked it up a notch and everything is getting washed twice in hot water. We are leaving all windows and doors open when guest leave and when we do not have guest. We made a decision almost 2 weeks ago (March 14th) to self isolate and quarantine ourselves. Also, keep in mind I may ask you to check in sometime between 4-6 if I have guest leaving on the same day as your arrival. But I will give you an exact time the pool house will be available when your reservation is confirmed. The reason is because we are not going into the pool house for 3 hours after guest leave to disinfect and clean. This is to protect everyone including you and your family. We are asking all guest to leave all the linens, towels, blankets, hand towels, bathroom rugs, etc on the pool house deck the morning of your departure. These new practices have been in place now for 2 weeks because of what is going on in the worlds today. It is for the safety of everyone around. If you are not comfortable performing the couple of new temporary departure procedures I put into place for the safety of everyone please do not make reservations at this time. Thank you. Please do not make reservations if you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for the virus or had symptoms of the virus. I am also asking that all NYC residents and all boroughs to make reservations from May 1st on and not before. Please and Thank you. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me. Please be safe and take all precautions to keep everyone safe. -Chantale :-) Come, enjoy, relax and create memories. You will love being in the heated pool during the fall looking outside through all the glass doors at the beautiful foliage. In the middle of winter watching the snow fall while you’re splashing around in a heated pool. At the end of the day cozy up with a cup of hot chocolate on the comfy sofa and watch your favorite TV show. In the summer time enjoy spending time on the wrap around deck sipping drinks, playing corn hole and having a BBQ and ending the day with making s’mores over an open fire. This property will not disappoint. You have everything you need for an awesome get away. We do live in the country and have well water. We do have a filtration system. But if we get a lot of rain the system can not always keep up. So you may sometimes have the smell of sulfur coming through the water. Unfortunately this is beyond my control. I would say 95% of the time you will not experience that. Please click on the photos of my place to scroll through so you can see the entire photo and not just part of them. The pool house is 2000sf with a 16’x32’ year round heated pool. Fully equipped with a full bath, 1 bedroom/loft which sleeps 4 guest. 2 additional guest may sleep on the sofa sectional. There is a day bed that pulls out and very comfortably sleeps 2 and the Futon which sleeps 2 in the loft. There is a fully kitchen has just about everything you would need for your stay. There is an air fryer, blender and Keurig coffee maker as well. I provide all the bathroom towels, pool towels, linens, blankets and pillows. You have access to the internet. We have Netflix, Hulu and CBS All Access. There is no cable TV. Also, in the pool house you can use the wireless speaker to connect to your favorite music app. The acoustics in the pool house are amazing. There is a concrete patio that wraps around 3 sides of the building and also another 25’x25’ patio with an outdoor fire pit. We provide wood free of charge. This building is new construction and the siding has not yet been put on. That will be done in 2020. I do live on the property and will make myself available for whatever you might need or any questions you have. We do have 2 dogs that live on the property. They are very friendly. We have a black lab and a German Sheppard. Guest are not allowed to bring any pets. When we have guests we will be outside with our pups so they do not disturb you. They are very loving friendly dogs and are well trained. If you are not a dog person this is not the place for you to stay because my pups will be out and about on the property with me when I am working. Please message me if you have any questions at all about the space. I have been staying at Airbnb’s for many years. IMy goal is to provide you with a great and memorable place to stay, excellent service and a place you will tell all of your friends about. After your stay but before you leave I would greatly appreciate any feedback. I want to know what you loved most about your stay and also where I might be able to make improvements for my future guest. I want you to be comfortable and happy during your stay. Even though I do not allow pets because I have 2 dogs we have a 2 nice boarding places 10-15 minutes from us. If you want your fur babies close to you while your enjoying some time away you definitely have that option. Muddy Paws in Gloversville and Harvey’s Pets in Johnstown. Don’t forget to checkout my GUIDEBOOK...for amazing stuff in and around the surrounding area. Saratoga Track season is just around the corner. Spend the day in the wonderful city of Saratoga and return to the refreshing pool and have a BBQ and sit by the fire at the end of the sipping on your favorite beverages. We do have taxi services that will take you into Saratoga and you can take an Uber or Lyft back. The average cost for the share ride runs around $40 or so. Depending on the time of day and what’s going on. If you are going to stay during track season season reach out to me. I will be offering a discount if your stay is 4 nights or more. Track season 2020 is from Thursday July 16 through Monday September 7. Some last notes to keep in mind and that is I will give you total privacy unless you have questions or concerns. My goal is to give you the best possible get away I can offer. My space is very unique unlike most other airbnb’s and it has a lot of offer. I am big on communication. So I most likely will check in at least once during your stay to see how everything is going. Regulating and maintaining an indoor heated pool requires a lot of attention to detail. That is why it is so important to follow the pool house guidelines which are outlined here on my page, displayed in the pool house and I go over them with you in detail when you arrive. I only take up about 15 minutes of your time. You will not be disappointed with your home away from home getaway!!! Thank you for looking at my space. If you have any questions please reach out to me. I look forward to giving you the best get away experience while you are here. P.S. TAKE A LOOK AT MY GUIDEBOOK :-)
There are several really good restaurants in the area all within 10-30 minute drive. The food market and Walmart is 10 minutes away.

Rustic 3+ Bedroom, 1.5 Bath, children friendly, sleeps 8. Turn key, easy access, bed linens provided. Come Enjoy all that the Adirondacks has to offer-Hike, Swim, Boat, Ski, Snowshoe, Snowmobile right from the property.
Tucked in among the large boulders and mature trees, this secluded property is only a 5 minute walk to its deeded access on West Caroga Lake and abuts over 60,000 undeveloped acres of state land known as the Ferris Lake Wild Forest Preserve. The preserve offers endless miles of trails that wind through some of the most beautiful terrain imaginable, all accessible right outside the front door. Completed in early 2013, StoneHaven was custom designed and built by it's owners to incorporate the luxury of modern and efficient technology into a rustic package. This concept allows visitors to experience the more premium comforts of a home while the décor and setting provide a true Adirondack “camp” experience. An open floor plan allows an opportunity to engage in conversation, entertain and keep an eye on children all from any vantage point on the first floor. Complement your meals in the dining area with a gaze out the large picture window which affords an uninterrupted view of nature at its finest. Be sure to appreciate the old world craftsmanship of the custom made kitchen cabinetry built in primitive design and utilizing traditional construction methods.

Alles, was Sie möglicherweise brauchen könnten, ist verfügbar.

    Amber2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Gail & Larry waren tolle Gastgeber.

Robin’s Nest Named is named after its first inhabitants – a momma robin and her babies nesting in the roof’s rafters during the initial phase of the remodel . When combined with contemporary window walls in the Great Room and multi-paned windows and high ceilings throughout the house, plenty of light floods and warms the house. The Great Room alone has a multitude of windows. Gorgeous copper fans hang from the “cathedral” ceilings in the Great Room and high-powered ceiling fans hang in each bedroom, while cast iron gas stoves in the Great Room and breakfast nook provide an abundance of warmth and comfort during the cold, winter months. The private, largely fenced in back yard offers two, wooden picnic tables, a gas grill and outdoor fire pit. Adirondack chairs offer places to relax, share stories and gaze at the night sky and stars. Native trees and plants, including crab apple trees, a black raspberry and a blueberry patch make up the landscape and a private driveway provides for parking for 3 to 4 vehicles. The Great Room provides something for everyone. Those who want to relax, can curl up with a book in the soft leather recliner or on the large, plush sectional sofa to stare out one of the many windows, watch their favorite movie or sporting event on the 50 inch, flat screen, SMART LG television (with Cable TV, a DVD and VCR player, and high speed wireless internet) or, they might simply watch the fire dance in the cast-iron, gas stove fireplace. Others might shoot a round of pool on the wooden, claw footed, felt-covered pool table, or sip on a drink from the wine fridge, while sitting at the beautiful built –in wood bar (featuring a classic bowling alley lane counter-top) and chatting over the bar with whoever might happen to be standing in the kitchen on the other side. Robin’s Nest’s kitchen features a downdraft gas stove, refrigerator with ice maker, a dishwasher, country sink basin, and customized, hand-crafted, shabby chic kitchen cabinets and shelving, and a country cupboard that serves as a pantry. The kitchen is well stocked with every item you might find in your own home, and then some. It is fully equipped with a coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster, blender, teapot and recycling bins. There is no microwave, there is a toaster oven. The dining area’s solid wood table seats 6 to 8 comfortably, and opens up to the backyard and stone patio through the large, sliding glass doors. Attractive glassware and china are found in the antique wooden hutch housed in the dining area and on the kitchen shelving. The three bedrooms are airy and bright, each offering its own unique charm. All of the rooms have ceiling fans and blinds for maximum control of the light and new, firm mattresses with waterproof, hypoallergenic mattress covers on each. Each bedroom and the upstairs hallway features built-in shelving and drawers. Every bedroom is furnished with its own antique beds, bedside tables, reading lamps, trunks, dressers, armoires and/or accessories. About a block away or a two minute walk, lies West Caroga Lake (just out the front door, quick right and quick left), and Robin’s Nest deeded rights to a shared beach for sitting, swimming and building sand castles. Kayaks and canoes are available for rent upon request. Paddleboards and other watercraft can be rented at the Marina (see below). The waterfront is shallow and hard-bottomed, and swimming is allowed. Just down Route 10East, at the junction of East and West Caroga Lake is a small marina where you could launch your own small boat or jet ski for a nominal fee, or rent a pontoon boat for a day of fishing or relaxing in the sun. Outdoor activities span the seasons with swimming, boating, fishing, water skiing, golfing, hiking, mountain biking, ice fishing, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, downhill and cross-country skiing all available locally. Essential services, dining and taverns are within walking distance. Robin’s Nest is a short walk to several other Adirondack Lake House rentals in the event guests need to accommodate larger parties. Robin’s Nest can accommodate a maximum of 8-10 guests at all times. There is parking for a maximum of 3 to 4 cars. Sorry NO PETS and NO SMOKING. Robin’s Nest has a NO SHOES policy; please bring slippers or flip-flops for indoor use.
The Robin's Nest is located on a quiet street with friendly neighbors in the sleepy, rustic village of Caroga Lake, NY, approximately 100 steps from a private beach on West Caroga Lake. Although not on the lake, Robin's Nest really is only a hop skip and a jump from it and all the fun it has to offer. And if you look out the Master Bedroom or through the front windows, you can still catch some slices of beautiful sunsets over the lake.

This is a one bedroom apartment on the second floor of my home. It includes a full kitchen, full bathroom, bedroom with king size bed and large closet and large living room. It is fully furnished and air conditioned. The windows are large providing lots of light and fresh air since they face both the east and west sides of the house. The apartment is in a Victorian house built in 1892 which I have been carefully restoring for several years. I live on the ground floor.
The house is in a residential neighborhood which is quiet at night. However, we are one block from Main Street which is a traditional old downtown with 19th century architecture. It is very walkable to a great food co-op with cafe and deli, and other downtown businesses.

Lady of the Lake " is a classic 1901 lakehouse with water views from every room. Facing south on 70 ft. of deep West Caroga Lake waterfront, the delightful, comfortable, three-season house is charmingly furnished with cottage antiques by designer/builder owners whose work is featured in numerous interior design publications.
A large, two-level screened porch spans the front of the house just above the lake, creating a spectacular waterfront great room with areas for dining, games and sleeping as well as relaxing in rockers, a glider, a wicker cheaise and a hammock. The living room's deep sofa, cushioned daybed and wicker chairs face a stone-backed Jotul woodstove-fireplace. An entertainment armoire houses an LCD flat-screen TV with basic cable service, VCR, DVD and stereo with a jack for connecting your digital devices to the indoor, porch and outdoor speakers. (Please be aware that sounds travels over water and requires judicious use of volume controls). There's a piano and sheet music, a vintage dollhouse and other children's toys, and a collection of regional guidebooks, cookbooks, children's books, fiction and poetry. Videos, CDs, games and art supplies are provided. A skirted farmhouse sink with drainboards enhances the vintage charm of the modernly equipped gourmet kitchen. Appliances include a dishwasher, full-sized refrigerator, electric range, microwave, water filter and all small appliances. Ample cabinets with butcher block counters are well-stocked with good pots, sharp knives, baking pans, handy gadgets, spices, condiments, cleaning supplies, attractive tableware and serving pieces. The kitchen's round pedestal dining table seats 4-6, with tables for 4 and 8 on the porch. Steps from the kitchen, there's a brick patio with gas grill, a deck with seating and a tabletop gas firepit for s'mores, and a gas patio heater to take the chill off spring and fall evenings. Three upstairs bedrooms all have lake views. The master bedroom features an enchanting king bed with silk-leaved birch branch headboard, five windows looking out on the water, painted beadboard walls, a sitting area with a comfortable down-filled French bergere chair and ottoman, and a mahogany deck overlooking the lake, furnished with outdoor wicker chairs, sofa and chaise. There is also a floral wallpapered queen bedroom and a third bedroom with two double beds. Downstairs, there are twin daybeds in the living room and entrance sunroom, and a double bed with air mattress on the porch. The beds have charming vintage metal bed frames, good firm mattresses, comfortable memory-foam mattress toppers, down duvets, quilted coverlets, fleece and wool blankets and a choice of down and fiberfill pillows. As is customary in our region (due to the environmental restrictions of country lakefront plumbing on our ability to provide onsite laundry service), you provide sheets, pillowcases and towels. There is a clothesline for sun-drying swimsuits and towels. Lady of the Lake has a full bath on the first floor, a half-bath upstairs, and an enclosed outdoor shower. The bright, mirrored, first floor bathroom has ample storage including a marble wrap-around ledge, a large cabinet for towels and toiletries, and a sink set in an antique dresser with a secret “treasure” drawer for kids to discover and select a toy to keep. There is a subway-tiled tub with shower. Amenities include a hairdryer, curling iron, magnifying mirror, first-aid kit and a selection of toiletries in case you forget something. The upstairs half-bath is attached to the queen bedroom and also accessible, via a hallway entrance, to the king and double bedrooms. But everyone’s favorite is the outdoor hot shower behind the house, with views of lake and woods. Lady of the Lake is furnished almost entirely with antique furniture from the golden age of summer cottages, circa 1880-1950. Lovely vintage paintings of flowers, lakes, and "ladies of the lake" adorn the walls. Custom lighting on dimmer switches ranges from Italian tole chandeliers and antique lamps to Japanese lanterns and a disco ball. The waterfront is clear, deep and hard-bottomed; the 330 acre lake is excellent for swimming, boating, fishing, and water skiing. Furnished decks both at water-level and cantilevered over the lake have beautiful views. There's a private swimming raft on the lake. Two sit-in kayaks and a sit-on kayak are included. The dock has room for your own small boat. A connecting channel lets you explore East Caroga Lake as well. Canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, and pontoon boats can be rented at the local marina. The grounds include a sloped lawn with perennial border and hammock. A woodland hillside walk of 60 stairs leads to parking above for three cars on a quiet lane. Country roads take you to nearby hiking trails that lead to hidden lakes and panoramic views from a mountain lookout tower.
In the midst of gorgeous and historic countryside on the accessible southern edge of the Adirondack Park, Caroga Lake is home to the amazing Caroga Lake Music Festival, featuring intimate chamber music concerts by world class young musicians in July and August. Lady of the Lake is in close range to hundreds of lakes, trout streams, mountain trails, Amish farm country, the Mohawk River Valley; the pleasures of antiquing, museums, restaurants and attractions like the Baseball Hall of Fame, Great Escape/Splashwater Kingdom theme park, and Howe Caverns; world-class music and dance seasons at Saratoga, Lake George, and Cooperstown; the thoroughbred racing season at Saratoga Race Track. It's five minutes to hiking and running trails, golf, restaurants, bars, gas, stores, laundromat, post office, chapel; 15 minutes to Gloversville and Johnstown, 30 minutes to NY State Thruway Exits 27-29, an hour to Saratoga and Albany, a bit more to Cooperstown and Lake George, 4 hours or less to New York City, Boston, Montreal and Buffalo.

This 3d floor flat is bright & airy with 3 bedrooms, bath with shower, full kitchen & laundry room - less than a 5 minute walk to our downtown with theater and a great food co-op. A 20 minute drive to Adirondack wilderness lakes & winter skiing.
The third floor was originally living space for household staff in this classic Queen Ann. It has very interesting roof lines reflected in the rooms, but is also very bright and spacious. Three bedrooms. One has a queen and the other two have twin beds, so it comfortably accommodates 4 guests. But we also have 2 air mattresses which allows it to sleep a total of 6.
It is a walkable neighborhood very close to downtown in our small city. Yet it is only a 15 to 20 minute drive to the pristine wilderness of the southern Adirondacks with its numerous lakes and mountain trails. Skiing, hiking and the best canoeing and kayaking in the country are available.

Historic and nicely appointed. Air conditioned. New stand-in subway tiled-shower. Coffee-maker, refrigerator, microwave, eating utensils, wine glasses, toaster, bar sink all for your use. There is a kitchen at the top of the stairs for guests to use.
Historic. This gracious house is on a street with moderate traffic, but the apartment is well-insulated, has interior shutters, and is very, very safe. Beautiful park across the street, too. A few blocks from a small hospital and the Great Sacandaga Lake.
