Introduction The house is a beautifully restored Georgian property originally built in 1690 with lovingly restored original features and all the benefits of modern technology and contemporary furnishings. Set in 1.5 acres of mature established gardens including a large terrace with heated seating area and a full size grass tennis court, there are 3.8 acres of paddock and apple orchards to be enjoyed. The house sleeps 8-22 people throughout the 8 bedrooms (a further 2 dressing rooms which can also sleep an additional 4 if needed making total occupancy maximum of 26 guests). It is not possible to have more than 26 people at the house, day or night as we have to limit village traffic and noise. This really is a luxurious country estate boasting a 12-foot swim spa/hot tub, games room with pool table, table tennis and bar billiards, a cinema with 16 cinema seats and a 3-metre wide screen, 100-foot master suite, exquisite bathrooms, two of which have spa baths, plus four reception rooms and broadband wireless internet in most areas of the house Ground Floor Entrance halls: There are two spacious entrance halls to meet and greet guests Sitting rooms: There are two sitting rooms with beautiful views over the courtyard and gardens Kitchen: Along with adjoining orangery forms the heart of this home, offering both a breakfast bar and full dining area.     You will drive off the quiet country road, up the farm track and arrive at Top House Farm where your Shepherds Hut is awaiting. The Shepherds Hut boasts a full history with it's original owner being Sir Winston Churchill! Within the Hut is a small double bed, electrics and lighting, a small oven and stove. You will have access to a toilet and hand basin and our fabulous Hot Tub and BBQ Hut. Sadly there is no shower/bath.
    With totally private use of all of the spaces you can really relax and forget about the world during your stay. The shepherds hut is a cosy bedroom space with beautiful views over the rural countryside and just around the corner is your own private hot tub which you can use as much as you like. The BBQ hut gives you the perfect place to chill out and cook your own meals on the open fire! Wood and coal etc. is all provided free of charge! The toilet and washing facilities are within the farmhouse just a short 10 second walk away.
    Top House Farm is based around 0.7 miles off the nearest road and is just a short drive to several good quality local pubs and restaurants. The nearby village of Market Bosworth is popular with walkers and gathers a lot of interest from the steam train running from Shackerstone. Market Bosworth is also the home of the Battle of Bosworth and the newly found Richard III site. It's a great, quiet place to be but you are within minutes of a lot to do or you can just step out of your hut and go for a relaxing walk.

  • Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in der Shepard's Hütte! Der Empfang war freundlich und informativ von Pete, mit Anweisungen, wie man zum Pub im Dorf kommt. Der Whirlpool und die Grillhütte sorgten für einen schönen, entspannten Abend - sehr friedlich und beruhigend! Wir mussten sogar die Alpakas füttern und alle Tiere auf dem Bauernhof treffen, bevor wir auscheckten. Wir hätten uns keinen besseren Gastgeber wünschen können und werden wiederkommen!

  • Wir hatten eine schöne Nacht in der Hirtenhütte. Obwohl es draußen kalt war, war die Hütte sehr schön und warm und der Whirlpool war ein ausgezeichnetes Feature. Am Morgen konnten wir die Alpakas füttern, was eine schöne Art war, unseren Aufenthalt zu beenden. Kann dieses Hotel nicht genug empfehlen und würde gerne wiederkommen!

    A quiet and comfortable self contained house with private off street parking in the middle of the National Forest. The pub and village shop are a 2 minute walk away. The town centre is a few minutes drive with supermarkets, leisure centre, restaurants, etc. Several lovely walks literally from the doorstep. We'll loan you our dog to show you the way if you need! Great for couples, small families or business travellers with motorway, rail and airport all within easy reach
    The house is detached, self contained and has recently been refurbished. It has a fitted kitchen, dining area and living area. The kitchen will hopefully contain everything you need, including a cooker/hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine. The daybed in the dining area converts to a full size double, with bedding provided. We can also provide a travel cot if it would be helpful. The upstairs has a double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. The house sits opposite the main house, so while you'll always have your own privacy, we are only across the way if there's anything you need. Parking for one car is just outside the gateway to the house and away from the main road. If you are coming in more than one car let us know and we can arrange a second space for you. The house is suitable for people travelling for business or pleasure.
    Packington is a small, peaceful village, set in the Leicestershire countryside just off the A42 and close to the historical market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch. Ashby is famous for its 15th century castle which is open for the public to explore. The town is also home to a variety of pubs and restaurants. Given that Packington sits within the National Forest we are surrounded by large and small woods planted as part of that scheme which offer lovely walks. Calke Abbey, a National Trust property, is about a 20 minute drive away. We also about 15 minutes away from Conkers Discovery Centre, 120 acres of maturing woodlands, lakes, ponds and play areas, including an 18 stage Activity Trail challenge. Slightly further afield, the National Space Centre, Twycross Zoo, Drayton Manor Park, Alton Towers, the Battlefield Line and the National Memorial Arboretum are all accessible for day trips out. The local pub, the Bull and Lion, is a short walk away and serves food on most days.

    Detached house, garden, patio, conservatory, sitting room, dining room and kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms to rent with single beds shared family bathroom, toilet downstairs. I live in so am on hand if needed. Central to shops national trust walks restaurants skiing and cinema. Ample parking but due to work commitments may need discussions on this. A great place to chill in the sun trap garden which is well maintained and also 4 mile commute to M1 or Burton. My dogs are human friendly too.
    The house is an unusual design for a fairly new home and is the only one of its type on the estate called the corner house by locals, the inside also reflects this with some interesting features which create interesting conversations. There are plenty of rooms to use and privacy is always respected and the desire to socialize too. I work so am often absent but all rooms are available except the other bedrooms of course. Make the space your own and enjoy the lovely facilities that the area has to offer.
    Most people work so it's quite during the day full coverage security cameras are in operation.

    I have a double room available. The stay is on a ROOM ONLY basis. There are two Pubs within walking distances both offer good food. Ashby de la Zouch town centre is approx. 1.9 miles away. East Midlands Airport is 11 miles away. There is plenty of space for a vehicle via a gated entrance. My location is good for access to main roads . Towels are not included. My house is not suitable for people under 18 years of age due to agricultural equipment on the property.
    The room is light and airy and accessed via a private entrance. It has just been refurbished including all new bedding and a new mattress. You will have access to a new shower room toilet and sink. Broadband Wifi is provided in your room with kettle to make your own hot drinks. Plenty of storage for clothes. Please remove outdoor shoes and use the shoe rack in the hallway. Please not there are no cooking facilities.
    Located in Boundary there are lots of places to walk in the area, located by Charnwood Alpacas and Ashby Castle is nearby.

    Our barn conversion, set in the idyllic village of Packington, is a special place to stay. The large luxury double and adjoining children's room are full of character for individuals, couples or a family to enjoy. We have a large selection of children's equipment available making us an ideal base for a family stay. Within the village and neighbouring historic town of Ashby de la Zouch there are various cafes, restaurants and shops. Further afield are numerous attractions for everyone to enjoy.
    The newly refurbished guest accommodation provides privacy and space in a guest wing within a family home, with continental breakfast included in either the private dining room, or when weather permits, outdoors on the sunny patio. The guest accommodation is accessed via a spiral staircase leading to a private landing area with a stairgate at the top. (We will assist guests with luggage upstairs via our alternate staircase.) The large, luxurious double room contains a king sized bed with Hypnos mattress and luxury topper, dressed with 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets by The White Company. The spacious room also contains wardrobe and drawer space, a two seater sofa, dressing table with mirror and hairdryer, a work station, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen tv with Sky channels, DVD player, free Wi-Fi and books to borrow. Through a lockable door is the adjoining children's bedroom with bunk beds and a fantastic array of children's toys, games and books suitable for children from birth to approximately 10 years old. The Velux window has a black out blind. For guests with young children we have the following items to help towards stress free packing; full sized travel cot plus bedding, night light, baby monitor, potty, child's toilet seat, step, baby bath, high chair, plastic cutlery, plastic plates and bowls and children's DVDs. USE OF THE CHILDREN'S ROOM WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL £10 PER CHILD. If a travel cot is required in the double bedroom there is no extra cost. The modern shower room can be accessed from both bedrooms via the private landing. Towels are provided. The large shower can accommodate a baby bath for very young children if required. We also offer safe garaged storage for bikes if required.
    We are ideally located in the heart of the National Forest on the border of Leicestershire and South Derbyshire. Packington village has a lovely cafe and general store, good recreational park and local pub. A five minute drive away is the neighbouring historic market town of Ashby de la Zouch, with Castle ruins, independent shops and cafes, leisure facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pool and trampoline park. Nearby Melbourne is a delightful Georgian market town, with many excellent independent shops, pubs and restaurants. Within 30 minutes are varied attractions such as the National Trust house and and gardens at Calke Abbey, Hicks Lodge Cycle Centre, Conkers, Charnwood Forest Alpacas, Shape's Pottery Museum, Donington Park race track, Swadlincote Ski and Snowboard Centre, Snowdome Tamworth, Twycross Zoo, Bosworth Battlefield and Great Central Railway with steam trains.

    The cottage is in walking distance of Ashby de la Zouch and has many country walks right on the door step. It is conveniently located 5 mins from the A42 and 20 Mins from the M1 making it accessible for East Midlands Airport and Donnington Park. It is an easy commute to Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham, Warwickshire and Tamworth. It is also convenient for Alton Towers, Conkers, Battle of Bosworth, Twycross Zoo, Cloud bike trail and Hicks Lodge, Calke Abbey and other National Trust properties.
    This cottage dates back to 1801 and is in the heart of the village. The cottage boasts a cosy living room with a multi fuel/wood burner, a dining room and a full bespoke hand crafted kitchen that with a large range cooker. There is a cottage garden with a patio which is perfect for your morning coffee and the papers (which you can get from the village shop next door). You can also get breakfast and lunch at the village cafe next door if you prefer not to cook and food is often served at the village pub at the bottom of the street, 5 mins away. The cottage has 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower, bedroom two has a bunk bed which is a double bed on bottom bunk and single bed on top. Bedroom three has a single bed that pulls out to a double bed and bedroom four has two single beds. There is also a double sofa bed in the living room.
    Packington is a rural village with a pub, church, village school, cafe and shop. There is a recreational park with swings, slide, climbing frames for younger children and a zip wire, turtle swing and football field for the older children. The park also boasts a green gym with brand new equipment. It is a lovely friendly village where everyone says hello to you as you step out for a country walk. You are only ever 5 minutes from being in the country side. It is a lovely, safe place to live.

    Also available as a super king ( prices vary ) if that suits your requirements better. It has been recently renovated with it's own private en suite with shower and has very comfy beds. We are literally 5 minutes walk into the market town of Ashby. The room is fully furnished with beautiful views over the town, it's on the 3rd floor so please be aware of that when booking! I have 3 friendly dogs but they can be kept out the way if dogs are not your thing!
    We are grade 11 listed here so the building is very unique and although we are very central to the town it is so quiet and relaxing. Please note that I can also change this room into 1 Super king bed. I have a separate listing for that so please check it out.
    We are in the heart of the national forest and within a 10 minute drive from Conkers. We are only 10 minutes away from Hicks Lodge and their huge Cycle path area. Both historic and National trust properties Calke Abbey and Staunton Harold estates are also only 10 minutes drive too. We are 15 minutes from East midlands airport and also only 30 minutes from Birmingham airport. Also within a 30 minutes drive from Birmingham, Nottingham, Burton on Trent, Derby and Leicester.

    I recently refurbished this apartment to become the perfect place for you to relax in. There's two double beds, a 55" TV with Netflix and WiFi. Tea and Coffee are provided for your trip. The house has two car parking spaces and it's a 15 minute drive to Donington Park Race Circuit, East Midlands Airport and the M1. It's located just outside Ashby town centre which is full of great shops, cafes and restaurants. Bluestone Fitness is a fantastic gym within walking distance from the house.
    The house has a cosy lounge and dining area that leads through to two double bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom. There's a washing machine in the kitchen available for you to use.
    Ashby is a friendly market town that has a wide range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. It is in the heart of the National Forest so there are lots of great walks and mountain bike routes close by too.

    The Howlands Guest Annexe is a newly constructed property finished with character and to a very high standard. It is furnished to give you all you may need of a home away from home business or pleasure. Entered via its own entrance and hallway with cloakroom, leading to an open plan living space with a view over part of the owners large rear garden and the annexes own patio area. The bedroom has country views to the front of the property The living space has a wood burning stove, underfloor heating, kitchen, dining, sofas & Smart TV.     The Coach house is a self contained apartment within a village setting. However it is situated only 5 mins away from the M42 and good road links to all Midlands towns and cities. Netherseal is within The National Forest which allows access to numerous interesting country walks. There are also many attractions close some of them being Calke Abbey, The National Forest, Staunton Harold and Moira Furnace. We provide a welcome pack with fresh bread, milk, juice, cereal selection, eggs and preserves.
    The Coach House is part of an old premises built in the 1800’s. It has recently been renovated keeping many of it’s original features. It is attached to our cottage but has its own private access.The Coach house is set within a large garden area both where we have a vegetable plot, chickens and a flower garden . Netherseal is a small village community with a church, village hall, public house” The Seal”, shop, post office and sports club all close to many amenities in neighbouring villages.
    Netherseal is the southernmost village in Derbyshire which allows for easy access to Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Leicestershire. It is close to the M42 and A444 again making it easy to reach places such as th NIA. and NEC. in Birmingham. The picturesque village is part of a conservation area and has many listed buildings. The grave of Sir Nigel Gresley can be found in St Peters Church cemetry. Nigel Gresley lived for many years in the village. He was an engineer who designed the locomotive, The Mallard. The Mallard set the world speed record when it achieved 126 mph for a few seconds in 1938. Netherseal resides amongst the area of The National Forest and The National Forest Way can be accessed fom the village itself.

Von der beispiellosen Sauberkeit über die hervorragend bestückten Utensilien (alles, was Sie für einen kurzen Aufenthalt benötigen, einschließlich reichlich Utensilien für die Küche) bis zu den kleinen Details wie frisch gebackenen Pausen und Eiern der eigenen Hühner. Die Liebe zum Detail ist perfekt, wir wollten nichts. Sogar Karten von der Umgebung, ein großer Fernseher mit Himmel, gutes WiFi und viele gemütliche Details. Lynda nahm sogar Kontakt mit uns auf, um uns mitzuteilen, dass wir unseren Welpenspielzeugbären zurückgelassen hatten, damit wir zurückkommen und ihn holen konnten, bevor wir die Gegend verließen. Die Gastgeber waren genau die richtige Menge an Fürsorge, interessiert und hilfsbereit, ohne sich zu langweilen, und wir fühlten uns, als hätten wir ein eigenes kleines Zuhause mit genügend Privatsphäre. Sie machten viel Aufhebens um unseren Welpen und sie spielte sogar mit ihrem eigenen Hund im Garten. Wenn wir jemals wieder in der Gegend sind, würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten. Das Bett war sehr bequem und die Bettdecke war sehr warm und die Kissen waren sehr bequem. Wir konnten Netflix im Fernsehen sehen, was ein schöner Bonus war. Alles war makellos, obwohl sie Haustiere erlaubt. Ehrlich gesagt wahrscheinlich die beste Unterkunft, in der wir je übernachtet haben. Vielen Dank!

The apartment is only a 2 mile drive to the industry centre of Ibstock however is far enough away that you can enjoy the amenities of a countryside town. Ibstock has a nice, quiet town centre that allows you to be right in the heartbeat of the town without having to worry about any excessive noise.
    There is a double bedroom with a street facing view, the bathroom is equipped with shampoo and towels etc for your stay. The lounge is spacious enough for you to recline and watch the television.
    There is a car park on the opposite side of the road to the property approximately 200m where you can leave your car. There are plenty of local pubs and restaurants that you can enjoy. There is a slo a nice park less than 800m away that is great for an easy run or a stroll after work. There is a Co Op approximately 600m walk away from the property.

You’ll love the location because the neighbourhood is a quiet friendly village environment. The accommodation is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
    The Coach House is a newly converted accommodation comprising, a Kitchen Diner, Lounge, twin bedroom and an en suite bathroom. As well as the twin bedroom, there is a double sofa bed in the lounge.
    Packington is a quiet country village with a local pub serving good food, and a extremely well stocked local shop.

    Ashby's town centre is compact and thriving, with shop after shop of independent traders, from clothing to jewellery to food and drink, you're spoiled for choice. There are a handful of chains here too, and a good selection of charity shops if you're feeling thrifty. The town's nightlife has been heralded as entertaining, diverse, safe and enjoyable. There are restaurants and takeaways, cocktail bars and nightclubs, micropubs and old fashioned drinking establishments too. Everywhere you turn in Ashby there's history and culture. The Ashby Castle ruins, which played a key strategic role in the English Civil War, were the backdrop for Sir Walter Scott's Ivanhoe and are the backdrop for regular re-enactment events nowadays. The Bath Grounds were once the destination for some of the first ever package tours and are still well worth a visit today while our timber-framed and Regency buildings are a testament to the town's flourishing past they're still very much lived in. Ashby is the beating heart of the National Forest. As a result the former coalfields that surround it are now green and verdant, full of nature reserves and walking spots.

    A large double room in a contemporary home surrounded by beautiful countryside, with ample off-road parking, wifi and a warm welcome. Close to many activities. including Calke Abbey, Ashby Castle, the Cloud Trail, the National Forest, Donington race track, craft and art workshops, wedding venues, Staunton Harold - and Derby, Burton, Ashby, Leicester and Nottingham. We welcome couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers - we also have another double room available, see separate listing.
    Valley View is an old farmhouse. Accommodation is all upstairs; the bathroom is shared between two rooms, but private. We have two dogs, who can be loud but very friendly!
    Our home is set in hundreds of acres of farm land and forestry. It is surrounded by fantastic walks, including Foremark reservoir and nature reserve, Staunton Harold, Calke Abbey and many good country pubs. Our local towns are Ashby de la Zouch, Melbourne, Ticknall, and Burton on Trent, with easy access to Derby, Nottingham and Leicester.

  • Ich kann einen Aufenthalt hier nur wärmstens empfehlen. Das Einchecken verlief problemlos und das Haus befindet sich in einer sehr ruhigen Lage, jedoch in der Nähe der örtlichen Städte. Das Zimmer war makellos sauber, genauso wie das Badezimmer. Das Bett war sehr bequem und wir hatten alles, was wir brauchten. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut. :)

    In the village of Overseal, Heart of the National Forest, our semi has a new kitchen, bathroom & flooring in the living room. We are a 5 minute walk from 'Conkers' in the village of Moira and we are actually on The National Forest way--it runs straight down our road . I provide bread for toast and cereal, tea and coffee & orange juice. Let me know if you have any dietary requirements and I will try to accomodate you. I do not provide cooked breakfasts but you are welcome to cook yourself.
    You have a king sized bed in a bedroom upstairs. 2 people will comfortably fit in our room with room to move around. There are 2 chairs, a chest of drawers a long mirror and a hanging rail in the room. It is possible to fit in a fold down bed for a child or additional adult as we have fold down single z beds. Please note we only have a family bathroom which we all share.
    Overseal is a small village with friendly people. Ideal for walkers with ease of access to many walks in the National forest. We frequent a friendly pub 'The Railway' in Moira and there is a good pub 'The Robin Hood' in Overseal. There a a lovely eating pub--'The Cricketts' on the A444 minutes form our village. It is a short walk to 'Conkers' the heart of the National forest. We are minutes from the M(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) and A50 with easy links to Birmingham and Nottingham. Moira, Ashby de La Zouch, Swadlincote and Burton upon Trent are our local towns.

  • Ruths Platz ist wunderschön! Wir besuchten eine Veranstaltung in der Gegend und beschlossen, Ruths Unterkunft für zwei Nächte zu buchen. Ruths Haus ist wunderschön, der Ort ist sehr ruhig und schön. Leider hatten wir keine Gelegenheit Ruth zu treffen, aber Alan war während unseres Aufenthalts immer freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit! Das Zimmer hat eine perfekte Größe mit einem bequemen Bett. Wir können uns nicht beschweren. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls inbegriffen und Parkplätze stehen zur Verfügung. Ein kostenloser Parkplatz befindet sich ganz in der Nähe des Hauses. Ich kann dieses B & B nur empfehlen!

  • Wir buchten dieses Hotel, weil wir auf dem National Forest Way unterwegs waren und es direkt am Trail liegt. Mein Partner Lesley hatte ein Bad und ich hatte eine erfrischende Dusche. Ruth & Alan sorgten von Anfang an dafür, dass wir uns wohl fühlten, und wir haben ihren Kühlschrank benutzt, um unser Essen für den nächsten Tag auf dem Trail aufzubewahren. Wir nutzten das lokale chinesische Restaurant zum Mitnehmen, gingen 15 Minuten die Straße hinauf und brachten unser Essen zurück zu Ruths Unterkunft, um es mit ihren Tellern und ihrem Besteck zu essen. Wir hatten ein nettes Gespräch mit Ruth und Alan und unterhielten uns gerne über Wein (dankenswerterweise von Ruth), einschließlich einer spontanen Gartenbesichtigung. Das Frühstück bestand aus Müsli und Toast und bereitete uns auf den Tag vor. Wir waren überrascht über das Sonderangebot, abgeholt zu werden, wenn das Wetter unsere Entschlossenheit zerstört hatte.     Bedroom 1 is named Midsummer Night's Dream with a fresh light grey & yellow colour scheme, this bedroom has a large double bed & a single bed. Bedroom 2 is the more dramatic red & gold coloured Romeo & Juliet bedroom featuring 2 single beds. The apartment features a comfortable lounge area with leather sofa seats, a dining room table & chairs, a kitchen area & a bathroom with a shower/bath combo. Shakespeare is suitable for solo use, couples. working professionals & families. The apartment is cleaned for each new booking & amenities provided such as bedding, towels, kitchen roll & toilet paper & other essential items. Shakespeare is ideal for sole use, a couple, working professionals & family groups. Most people like Shakespeare as it feels like a cosy home from home with free wifi & a washing machine. We are constantly updating the furniture & available amenities within the apartment & are planning a bathroom makeover & new flooring within the lounge area as part of our improvement plan.
    The neighbourhood is peaceful with plenty of amenities. There is a Tesco Express supermarket 5 minutes walk away & a Co-op supermarket a little further away with pubs, restaurants, takeaways & other shops in the village.

    Our self contained first floor one bedroom apartment is named Wilde - after Oscar Wilde and we have styled the apartment in a modern Art Deco manner in a light & airy colour palate that really makes any length of stay in Wilde a real pleasure.
    The flat is accessed via a wooden exterior staircase & you enter into the kitchen area - from where you access the small hallway. To the left is the lounge, to the middle is the bathroom & to the right is the bedroom. We have worked hard to renovate much of the flat and still intend to upgrade fixtures & fittings in between bookings both inside & outside the flat to make your stay even better! Recently we have purchased a sofa bed to make it suitable for an additional adult or 2 small children, though please check first as we pride ourselves in offering comfortable accomodation, lounge is spacious enough to eat at a small dining table & the kitchen is fully stocked with an oven, microwave, & fridge freezer for longer stays.Also a new tassimo coffee-maker if you can't live without your costa in the morning (pods can be purchased from tesco express 100 metres away) There is also a dishwasher so you can completely relax without worrying about the dishes! The kitchen has all sorts of handy utensils if you need to whip something up if you are feeling creative, The apartment also has a washing machine & drier. The bedroom has a large double bed with a really comfortable mattress and lots of pillows so you can have a really good night's sleep. There is a period wardrobe to put your clothes into and we will be updating some of the furniture in the room very shortly. The bathroom has been recently retiled and other finishing touches are being added but everything is perfectly functional! We would love to welcome you to Wilde!
