We are located 5 minutes from the trans Canada highway and between Shawnigan Lake school and Brentwood College.

Shawnigan Lake school is only a 3 minute drive; Brentwood school is 10. You will find a nice variety of restaurants, a popular bakery, and our local museum. You can access many scenic walks and hikes and in the area, including the historic Kinsol wooden trestle. We are only a 30 minute drive to Victoria with its many offerings

Bright, spacious 2-bedroom ground-level suite with private entrance and dedicated parking, a ~10 min walk to Shawnigan Lake School and ~3 min to shared dock access. Mt Baldy views and frequent wildlife sightings, including bald eagles. Ideal for work or leisure with reliable WiFi. One bedroom has a queen bed; the second has a bunk bed (double below, single above). Well-equipped kitchen with induction stovetop, dishwasher, BBQ, plus guest use of kayaks and SUPs. EV charging available for a fee.

Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

Our two bedroom guest suite is ideally suited for visitors looking for a summer lake experience. We have a private dock on Shawnigan Lake where you are free to enjoy swimming, splashing, fishing and boating. You will have exclusive use of a salt water hot tub to relax in. There’s a propane BBQ and dining table on the dock so you can dine al fresco and watch the sun setting over the mountains. Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun and enjoy lazy days on the dock

Nestled into a side hill amongst towering cedar trees, the Wobbly Hobbit is a "green" building that exudes cozy comfort. A tiny home built from a mixture of clay and straw with a living roof and masonry woodstove, the Wobbly Hobbit is perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway in the beautiful Cowichan Valley. Trails through the surrounding rain forest are steps away with renowned wineries and other attractions in the immediate area. Victoria is 45 minute drive or bus trip away.
