This is my favourite place to eat in Walton. Lovely traditional pub with cosy open fires, just right after a bracing walk on the beach, good beer and amazing food. I had the best sea bass ever served with a fish stew, samphire and crushed new potatoes - beautiful! Equally tasty is the homemade soup on the lunch menu and the chefs homemade sticky toffee pudding and ice cream is a must if, like me, you have a sweet tooth. The menu changes regularly and offers seasonal, locally sourced food at reasonable prices. They also do a popular Sunday roast. The landlord chef and front of house landlady are both welcoming and were able to accommodate all of my families varied dietary requirements. As the food is all homemade they know exactly what’s in it, which helps when it comes to allergies etc. Definitely worth a visit in my opinion. Be warned, this pub is a gem and gets booked up so make sure you reserve a table.
