Dinner at Ruben’s is like coming home. We’ve known the proprietor, Ruben, for 20 years and are thrilled to support the restaurant in its new location just North of Cantamar. The restaurant has an ocean view which is almost outshined by the warm and rustic wood interior. The bar cleverly integrated original barrels from La Cetto boutique winery in Baja’s Guadalupe Valley. Nice! The menu offers classic Mexican dishes and, the best yet, they are always open to accommodating our large group. Sports enthusiasts can find a seat at the bar to follow the latest game on the flatscreen. The Sunday brunch buffet should NOT be missed! We go to Rubens mostly for dinner, not so much for lunch. It is great food, but the wait staff is sadly not very focused. You have to tell them twice if you want something. Don't get me wrong. They are all sweet and nice but maybe just need a little more wait training. Prices are a little bit higher but still ok. The atmosphere is exceptional. Very nice decor. They are expanding at the moment to be able to hold bigger events there. Try it....it's worth it.

Great Dinner place. Nice bar. Right on the water. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Look for it on Yelp that may be easier.
