A lively neighbourhood hangout, The Bee serves inventive food (truffle omelettes and beef bacon pot hash) as well as more traditional offerings (burgers), plus there is also a staggering variety of coffee available. The interior of The Bee is very retro-inspired with exposed piping overhead, glossy concrete floors, mismatched black, red, light- and dark-brown wooden tables and chairs and cosy couches. The bar dominates the space with a large chalkboard hanging above it, sometimes featuring daily specials, other times with inspirational quotes written on it. The Bee is known for hosting events like karaoke nights, film showcases and even comedy club nights. A favourite event here is barbecue/disco-themed Sunday. With burgers and hot dogs on the grill, cold pints of beer available, interesting tabletop games, raucous chatter and great 80s music in the background, it is a great way to round off your weekend.
