You don't need car in Hawaii island of Oahu. Once you get on a bus get one day pass. Make sure you have exact change. $5.50 per person for 24 hr. Google map or bus app is very useful. Check bus routes with website of Hawaii the bus.

The local Waialua bus stops operation at 6:15 PM daily. You can use this form of transportation but I highly suggest renting a vehicle.

The bus system is very good. Go online to get a schedule of routes and times. Can be used to circle the island without the driving distraction.
