You can access part of the Trans Canada trail off of Penzance Street which is a one block walk from B'Casa residence. You walk through a forested trail which leads you to a rocky beach over the railroad tracks. Trail entrance across Confederation Park (on Penzance Street).

Great bike routes through the City, the Trans Canada Trail, where you can ride to Vancouver, SFU and other parts of the City. Many areas go through forested areas and there are several points where you get glimpses of the view of the waters of Burrard Inlet.
